Chapter 10

**Amelia**

“Amelia you must go now.” Isa tells me. “We do not know what will happen with the role of goddess moved on to you.”

“Okay.” I stand straight and look at the three fates. “Send me back.”

Evana shakes her head. “We cannot. You have the power inside you, and you must learn to use it.”

“I don’t know how!”

“Close your eyes and think of where you want to go. Be sure to be very specific and you will arrive there.” Amira explains.

Okay…right…

I close my eyes and try to focus on a moment that played the most important moment for me to fix everything. The only moment I can think of is the very first time I was sent back by the fates. The day I first met Owen…

Waking up and seeing his face. There are some moments in that version that were not the best but I can work through those now that I am not long, just Amelia the half human. I focus on the moment I saw Owen for the first time and let the memory play over and over in my head.

“I think she’s waking up.” I hear someone say and my eyes shoot open. “You’re awake.”

I sit up and my eyes immediately see Owen. Before I can stop myself I throw the blankets off me and wrap my arms around his neck.

“Oh my gosh Owen.” My voice shakes but when he wraps his arms around me I can’t hold the tears back.

“You know who I am?” He asks in that soft shy voice of his.

I’m not sure how I know this, but this is the real him. This version of him is the one that was always meant to be my mate.

I pull away and smile at him. “Of course, I do. You’re my mate, and we have a lot to talk about. First, we need to go home.”

“What?”

“You built a house for your mate. I’m here and we need to talk in private before everyone else comes looking for me. Okay?”

He blinks at me clearly confused, so I lean in and kiss him. His body stiffens at first but quickly he relaxes and kisses me back. I pull away before things get carried away.

“Come on handsome we got business to take care of.”

He nods and sets me down.

The door opens and in walks Natalia. “Oh, good you’re awake.”

“I am! Now, call the elder and Alo to meet us here in a few days please. We have a lot of stuff to get through and not much time.” I tell her as I walk toward the door.

“Wait how did you-“

“I know a lot of things which I will explain once everyone is together. Oh! That reminds me. Alexander you can come out now.” As soon as the words are out of my mouth my second mate appears.

Owen and Natalia are in high alert in an instant, but I step in front of Alexander. “Calm down everyone. This is my other mate, Alexander. Another thing that needs to be explained, but not here. We’ll meet at Owen’s house. Do you have a phone I can borrow?”
Owens quickly pulls one out of his pocket and hands it to me. I quickly type in my brother’s number and listen to it ring a couple of times before he picks up.

“Hey sis! What’s-“

“No time Liam. I need you and Olivia to meet me at Owens house as soon as possible. See you soon!” I hear him calling out to me but I end the call. “Alright everyone let’s move!”

“Who are you exactly?” I hear Owen from behind me.

“Names Alexander Fischer mate. I was chosen to be soul mates with the beautiful lady by The Fates of Time. You?”

There is a long silence and I smile to myself because I can imagine Owen’s stunned face without looking. Poor guy is going to have his mind even more blown soon enough.

“Alo and the elder can be here by tomorrow but said they can video chat with us.” Natalia says when she jogs forward to catch up with me.

“Great! I’m sure you miss Alo a lot.” I say giving her a sympathetic smile.

“How do you know about us?” A valid question.

“It’s a bit complicated and it would be easier to have everyone together when I explain. At least those whose help I’ll need which includes the three of you. Also, Alo, the elder, Liam and Olivia. All of us have an important role to play in the events coming, and I don’t have time to waste with the normal speed of getting to know everyone when I already know you guys very well.”

She still looks confused but I’m not about to divulge everything here where everyone can hear us. This information won’t leave our group and that means relocating. When we pass out of the double doors I walk in the direction of Owen’s truck. He unlocks it and I pull open the passenger door before he or Alexander offers to open it. They will fight over it and I want to avoid any unneeded delays.

Owen climbs into the driver’s seat and Alexander climbs in back.

“Well, this is not how I planned on introducing myself love. How did you know I was around?” He asks leaning between Owen and I so he can look at me.

I smile and lean in to give him a quick kiss as well. “Because we’re soul mates. Also, because The Fates told me who you are a while back. You’ve been staying hidden and would have appeared when I was at the airport on the way to meet with the elder. Now we are just speeding things up.”

“Impressive, and pray tell how you know all of this?” He asks.

I shake my head. “Not yet. When everyone is together, I will explain everything.”

Thankfully both give up asking any more questions and we drive out of the parking lot without a word between us. I’m thankful since I’m not sure how I’m going to approach this subject with them. When we finally reach Owen’s…well our house, I see several cars waiting for us. As soon as Owens stops I throw the door open and start running toward Liam’s car. He opens the door and climbs out just as I reach him and throw myself at him. He catches me with a chuckle and I squeeze him hard enough for him to grunt, but he hugs me just as tight.

“Hey you!” Olivia’s voice makes me smile.

I drop my arms from around Liam and push at his chest to let me go. As soon as my feet are on the ground I turn and walk over to my sister-in-law.

“Hey. How are you feeling?” I ask her.

When we pull away from each other she smiles. “As good as always.”

Something strange happens and I sense something. It’s as if a presence is fluttering between us.

“She is with child.” Anaya’s voice makes my chest swell with happiness.
‘Anaya! It’s so good to hear your voice again.’ I say to her.

‘It is good to hear your voice too. It feels too long.’ She replies. ‘I hope we shall not be parted again.’

‘Of course not. This is our reality now.’ I’ll make sure of that.

“Are you okay? You seem different.” Olivia says.

I smile. “I’m great. Come on.” I take her hand and pull her toward the house.

Everyone is gathered in the living room waiting for us, and I let Olivia go so she can join them. Once everyone is seated and their attention on me I look at Natalia who has set up a tripod for her phone. She presses call and a few seconds later two faces appear.

“It is good to see you again young one.” The elder says before bowing his head. “I see you have made the final transition. I am glad.”

“You knew all along, didn’t you?” I ask him.

He nods. “I did.”

“Okay, what are you two talking about?” Olivia asks.

“You are in the presence of a goddess. The Moon Goddess.” The elder says and all eyes lock on me.

“What?” Olivia asks in a high squeaky voice. “What is he talking about?”

I take a deep breath and begin the story. I explain to them about the many times I have been with them before and how each time had been different.

“That’s how you knew about me?” Alexander asks.

I nod. “Yes.”

“Why did you choose this series of events to return to? You could have picked any of them.” Owen asks.

“This one felt the most real. All the others felt like dreams that I could easily forget. I can’t really explain it, but this feels like the right way to handle what we’re up against.”

“War.” The elder says.

“Yes. War against our people and the humans. A war will ignite from someone in this pack and set the course of events that will eventually lead to our extinction. We underestimated the humans and lost everyone. It was my job to stop those things from happening but it got too complicated each time I was brought into another reality. Eventually the Goddess and The Fates agreed that interfering had only caused more problems. Now it’s up to us to make things right again.”
