Chapter 14

**Amelia**

As Owen predicted, he doesn’t last long. Not that I can complain because I still have another mate to help me along, and like Owen said, we have all night and as long as we live to enjoy each other. Alexander is too impatient to let me move off Owen on my own and instead reaches over and pulls me onto his lap. He doesn’t care that Owen has just been inside me and come as well. Without hesitation he pushes inside me and begins thrusting without preamble. I gasp and moan at each movement and I can feel myself reaching my own release. He is merciless until I drop my head back and let out a echoing howl.

“Beautiful.” Alexander says.

He wraps me in his arms as my body begins to go limp, but he isn’t finished yet. Instead of continuing at the same speed he slows down to a slower movement. I take the moment of reprieve to catch my breath and breathe him in. This isn’t the first time we’ve been together like this for me, but for him it is. Is it weird for us to be mated on our first day of meeting?

“Will you claim me mate?” He says breaking my worried train of thought.

“I will.” I whisper into his neck before I let my fangs extend and I mark him as mine.

He makes a hissing sound and starts to thrust again. It’s as if he can’t control himself anymore and I don’t want him to. I want my mates to let go with me.

Our bonding lasts the whole night, and we don’t stop until we are all thoroughly exhausted. When I finally fall asleep, I dream about another version of our lives together. Now though I try to see them as teaching lessons. If I had not been through those other versions of my life then I wouldn’t know how to fix this mess. So, when I wake up the next day, I’m ready to get started. Leaving my mates to rest I take a quick shower to clean up and head downstairs.

Since I’ve lived in this house before I know where to find everything and make a quick breakfast for the three of us. That is until I hear a knock at the door. When I open it, I see my brother standing there and Olivia beside him.

“Morning!” I say cheerfully.

Seeing them makes me so happy and I won’t be taking my time with them for granted.

“I smell bacon!” My brother says nearly knocking me down to get inside.

Olivia opens her mouth to tell him off but I wave her off before she can. “It’s fine. Come in! I’ll whip up some more food.”

She follows me into the kitchen past my brother already lounging on the couch with a plate on his lap. I get to work making more food but when Olivia doesn’t say anything for a little while I look over at her. She has a huge smile on her face.

“What?” I ask her suspiciously.

“So, how was your bonding? There was a loud howl from here.” She says.

My face begins to burn. “You heard that?”

She nods. “I don’t think a wolf for miles couldn’t. Your howl is very powerful. Although since no one knows what you are yet I’m sure they think it’s a pack of wolves passing by.”

“What do you mean?”

“It sounds like a dozen wolves are howling together.” She explains.

I notice that it sounds more like an echo, but I didn’t realize it sounded like a full pack.

“It must be the other white wolves, but it didn’t happen that way before.” I tell her.

“It must be so scary going through all those versions of your life not knowing how things would end.” She says.

“It was. It got to the point where I thought I was going to lose my mind and the fates decided that it was too much and tried to give me a new start. Only I kept ending up with the same people in my life, so that clearly hadn’t worked.”

“Was there a version of your life that I wasn’t in?” she asks nervously.

I hate to say it, but I don’t want to lie about anything that happened to me with the people I love.

“Yes, there were versions where specific people weren’t a part of. Those were the worse ones.”

“How many times had you lived through this?” She sounds angrier now.

“I’m not sure. It all felt like a blur at one point, and I was so focused on saving our kind that I didn’t keep track. This version had the better chance of success, so I knew it was right. Also, we are all together and live happy lives.”

She smiles. “We do?”

I smile back and nod. “Yeah, we grow families together and we win this war.”

“That’s amazing. Now I don’t have to worry so much.”

I walk over to her and wrap her in a big hug. “You don’t have to worry. I’ll make sure everyone gets their happy ending.”

We stay like that for a little while longer before I grumbling sound escapes her. We release each other and laugh.

“I guess my little nephew is hungry.” I say moving back over to the stove.

“What did you just say?” She asks from behind me.

I turn to face her and she’s looking at me with a strange expression. “What?”

“You said your nephew.” She says in a higher pitched voice.

Oh no. “Did I?” I say trying to play it off.

“Oh no you don’t! You can’t drop a bomb on me like that and then pretend it didn’t happen! What are you talking about? Am I-“

I cringe. “With pup? Yes.”

“And it’s a boy?” she asks with a huge smile on her face.

“Yeah.”

She squeals and rushes me again. “I can’t believe this! How did you know?”

“My wolf sensed it.” I explain.

“That’s amazing. I have to go tell Liam!” She let’s me go and rushes out of the room.

I watch her sit next to my brother, but they are too far away for me to hear anything. He suddenly jumps to his feet and pulls her in his arms and they laugh happily. Owen comes down the stairs and gives them a confused look as he passes them.

“Good morning my beautiful mate.” He says with a kiss to the top of my forehead. “What’s going on?”
“They’re having a pup.” I tell him.

His eyes go wide, and we stand there together watching my brother celebrate. Until he and Olivia start to kiss. Things get a little more heated and I gag at the sight.

“I’ll kick them out.” Owen says. “Hey you two! Get a room! Wait, no! Not here!”

I laugh when I hear loud footsteps on the stairs.

“What’s the fuss?” Alexander asks, appearing out of thin air.

The fact that he’s my mate means I sensed him, so I don’t act the least bit surprised when he suddenly appears.

“My brother is going to be a father.”

“Really? I assume the news was welcomed since they rushed to one of the guest rooms and started-“ I interrupt him by putting my hand over his mouth.

“I don’t want the detail about my brother’s sex life thank you.”

He wraps his hand around my wrist and an arm around my waist to pull me into him. I drop my hand and he sweeps in for a kiss as soon as the option is available. When he pulls away, I feel a little dizzy.

“Do you wish to create some noise of our own mate?” She whispers in a low sultry voice.

‘Mating again would increase the ability to become pregnant with a pup of our own. Not many of the goddesses have produced a pup. It could be wise.’ Anaya says.

‘How romantic. We have only just bonded; it might be too soon for us to talk about pups.’ I say.
‘Perhaps, however I stand by my point. It would be wise to produce other powerful wolves.’

I don’t like the way she’s approaching the idea of motherhood, but in her time, it might have seemed more like a chore. Of course, I’m not opposed to having pups but there is still so much for us to do before we reached that part. It wouldn’t be smart to get pregnant with a war looming.

“Are you still with me love?”

I snap back to Alexander and scramble to say something. “Yeah, sorry! I was making you guys breakfast, but Liam stole some so I have to make some more.”

I untangle myself from Alexander and walk back over to my stove. As I do I stop in front of the sink and look through the window. This is where I watched our pups play not so long ago. I want to see it again, but it isn’t the right time. The memory leaves me yearning for that life.
