Chapter 105
Jason's pov :
"Guys, you should come down now," Fiona yelled and all of us looked at George who shot us what-the-heck glare.
When he realized that he was supposed to answer her, he opened his mouth, "I'm going down. I don't want to piss my girl off, we had a good day with my parents so I don't want to spoil her mood." He jumped out of the couch and raised his hand in the air.
"Let's go, guys! Everyone is afraid of their girlfriends except Alex and me," my dad scoffed and we stared at him.
"Ash! You are a grown-up man, act like one or else I'm going to take girls outside for dinner. It's been damn three hours, do you realize that girls are hungry here?!" My mother screamed out at the top of her lungs and all of us looked at my dad who had already started running down and we cracked up at his action.
"I'm the only one who has freedom. I'm feeling like I'm the king and you are slaves of your girlfriends," Alex mocked and George mimicked his words. It wasn't the first time, he uttered that line so we kinda remembered it as he always taunted us.
Slavery was worth it if you had the Queen who ruled your heart. We didn't want to hurt Alex so we avoided arguing with him and instead, we agreed with him just to please him.
When all of my friends were invited, how could I miss Fiona out?! So I invited her and found out that she was already with George, they came together and we chatted for a while before occupying ourselves in the games room and leaving all the ladies alone.
"Why don't you guys help me in grilling these burgers? Let me tell you if you want to win a girl's heart, you should learn cooking!" My dad advised us and I rolled my sleeves up as I was really good at this now.
"I have read that. I know everything from how to impress a girl to how to please a girl-" as soon as I realized that I had already arrogantly uttered my secret, I shut my mouth.
George wiggled his eyebrows and said scornfully, "Wow! The great Jay Casano was reading a book about dating and impressing a girl?"
"He learned very good lessons from that book, and the version Lia is now loving of him is all thanks to that book," Barbie chimed in, sending a smirk my way.
"Don't tease my boyfriend, guys!" Lia narrowed her eyes at everyone, pointing her finger at them, and sending a kiss my way which I returned to her with a wink. She scrunched up her nose in a cute way, and everyone screamed aww at our cute moment.
It was a perfect day, and to be honest, I never imagined that there would ever be a perfect day in my life. My friends and family having a good time together, seeing everyone happy at the same time was a blessing to my eyes.
"You're lucky, girl! Your boyfriend can cook for you and it's so romantic. The author who recently signed with our publication company is writing a book in which ML is a chef and FL reckons that he looks so hot while cooking. It's a very romantic and mesmerising story, I'm just waiting for it to be published," Fiona excitedly
explained and took another bite of her burger.
George squinted his eyes at her, and she hid her face from him. "No matter how much effort I put in preparing for a romantic date, it's all in vain because of those stupid authors who write hopeless romantic stuff." He shrugged and continued chopping the onions.
"You look cute with that jealous face." Fiona fluttered her eyes and a small smile started forming on his lips, though he rolled his eyes.
"George, I guess you should sit with your girlfriend and enjoy the food," Alex commented while showing his chopped onions to us.
"What the…!" Theo started chuckling and I couldn't believe that he cut the onions with the peels.
Fiona rushed over to him and her eyes widened in shock before giggling. "My boyfriend can never cook."
"It's fine, Fiona! Even Ash learned cooking after the marriage," my mother came and consoled her.
Barbie also chimed in, "Yes! our dad used to cook us dinners in our childhood when our business was in the starting phase and mom used to be on international tours for work."
How could I forget that? My dad was the only one who used to care about us when we were a child. My mother was always busy, sometimes, I wanted just what an ordinary family had. A loving and caring mom!
"Can I have one more burger?" Lia pouted, standing beside me.
"Sure, my love!" I bowed in mockery and handed her the burger that I was grilling a second ago.
She mouthed thank you and offered me the burger which I didn't refuse so she fed me the whole burger while I was grilling another for her.
"Ahem! I'm sick of this couple." Alex made a nauseous face and rolled his eyes. Lia stuck out her tongue at him in response. "My dad still wants you as his daughter-in-law so if you ever break up with him, let my dad know!" He smirked and earned a punch on his back from Lia.
He loved teasing her about that and easily made my girl mad at himself anytime with bringing that matter up.
"Bastard!" Cussing him, I smirked and pulled Lia closer who rested her head on my shoulder.
"You better learn cooking, Theo or I'm going to marry someone else who can cook delicious meals for me at home," Barbie warned him, shoving the burger into her giant mouth.
She was indeed a foodie who could eat like a glutton, though she was a fitness freak. Her relationship with food and fitness was the weirdest thing in the world for sure.
"My girlfriend is intimidating, no wonder why everyone is scared of her in college!." Theo fed her peri-peri prawns which my dad just started making.
"She is a replica of her mom. Selena was just like that in her college days, I was the luckiest one who wasn't scared of her but all the remaining boys were." My dad smirked and passed food to my mother.
Barbie held her head up in pride. "Yes! And I want to be like my mama."
"You're right, dad! She has even got her eye color from mom and I got from you." I casually uttered and grinned but it vanished from my face as soon as my eyes met hers.
Her eyes were teary, a big smile was playing on her lips and she was trying to swipe the tear which just fell on her cheek before she could hide it.
I always knew that I was hurting her whenever I called her Mrs. Casano instead of mom. I was deliberately hurting her to let her taste her own medicine because it hurt me when she didn't care about me. When I was expecting her to be at my school for the parents meeting but she was busy with her business. When every child's mom came to pick them up from school, she never came and it fucking hurt me, it broke my heart so I decided to hurt her with my words and it just went like this.
"But I wish that you will just look like Mrs. Casino, you won't be completely like her." With hatred eyes, I gazed at her who stopped smiling. And yeah, I again hurt her because it hurt me, too.
Averting my gaze from her, I looked at Barbie who was already pleading with her eyes not to spoil a beautiful time and somehow, from her worried face, I got convinced and assured her via giving a short nod.
"Jay, please!" My dad whispered, handing me the chilli flakes.
"We are missing chilled beer with this barbecue, don't you think, Selena?" Lia changed the topic, strolling towards her.
She half-heartedly nodded and stood up to bring beers. "I'll get beers right away," she uttered and left, Lia followed her scowling at me.
Lia never asked me the reason why I hated my mother and I never brought those scars of mine in front of her. She had already suffered a lot in her childhood and I didn't want to bother her with my scars. I wanted her to be happy only.
After finishing the food, all my friends left for their homes and I was waiting for the end of Lia and Barbie's gossip. Girls could talk nonstop about anything, I hadn't drunk beer because I wanted to drive her home and my dear sister wasn't ready to spare us some alone time.
"Don't you think you should call Theo and ask him if he reached home safely or not?!" I made an excuse to make her leave my girlfriend.
Smacking her head, she took her phone and excused herself. Letting out a deep suffering sigh, I took Lia's hand in mine and started hiking outside of the home.
"You're leaving, sweetie?" My mother caught us and asked her. I forgot that my parents were out on a walk, my dad stifled a giggle seeing my puppy face.
"Oh, yes! I had a good time here. Thank you so much for inviting me!" She pried her hand off me and hugged my mother.
"This is your home, too. You don't need an invitation, you can come anytime, you're always welcomed."
"No way! I can see how you're making her your favorite, dad. It isn't her home and I'm never gonna invite her again, I can't even get any attention from my dad."
"Shut up, boy! She is my daughter, I'm adopting her right now. Do you have any problem, Lia?"
Both of us looked at Lia, she had laid her hand on my mother's shoulder and they both were pressing their lips hard not to laugh.
She sweetly smiled at my dad and declared, "I would love to be your daughter. Trust me, I enjoyed being here with you guys. You are the coolest parents in the world. And to be honest, I was a bit nervous about meeting my boyfriend's parents but you guys were so cool that I felt like our squad got two new buddies."
"I was also anxious to meet my son's girlfriend. As you know, we don't have a good relationship unlike others so I didn't know if you'll hate me, too or accept me but you are such a lovely girl. I hope we'll see each other frequently." My mother cupped her cheeks and planted a soft kiss on her forehead as if she was her real mother.
I rolled my eyes at her dramatic words and earned a punch from my dad. "Don't be so rude, Jay! Selena isn't lying, she loves you-"
"You must love her so much to always take her side and support her. I must say that she has got a jackpot, a husband who loves her no matter how poorly she treats him," I sarcastically commented by interrupting my dad's lecture that he just started.
"Selena treats me the best and you're nobody to point your finger at our relationship. You shouldn't cross your boundaries, you're too young to understand what she went through and she still suffers from your hateful-"
I cut him off again, "Okay, dad, bye! We are leaving, let's go, Lia! If you're late, your dad will eat me up." Grimacing, I took her hand and she waved goodbye to my parents before poking at my chest. "Ouch! You're so wild."
She giggled and I opened the door of my car in chivalry. Sitting in the driver seat, I drove the car in the opposite direction of her house. A long drive after a good day wasn't a bad idea.
"Where are we going?" She narrowed her eyes and crossed her arms.
"Long drive and get you some ice cream!"
"I thought that you were scared of my dad." She chuckled and ruffled my hair, cutely scrunching her nose.
Stopping the car at the side of the road, I took off the seatbelt of hers and made her sit in my lap.
"Woah! What was that?" She murmured in my ear, lingering her lips longer there.
"You were looking so cute that I wanted to kiss you." I mashed her lips after explaining and she smiled between the kiss.
Her arms encircled my neck and my hands cupped her thighs. Gladly, she wore a dress that reached just above her thighs and it was a pretty sexy blue dress, though I hated its sleeves.
My lips showered hot and wet kisses all over her jaw along the neck and when I reached her shoulder, the fabric on her shoulder made me annoyed. I loved off-shoulder dresses more, but I kept that thing to myself, I didn't want her to think like I was judging her.
Her hands held my hair tightly and a sweet moan tore through her throat when I pushed both sleeves off her shoulder and kissed her everywhere then moved to her soft spot. She was already breathing heavily when my eyes gawked at her cleavage, showing the curves of her boobs.
I looked at her face, she was blushing hard and avoiding my gaze. I held her chin and kissed her earlobe, "eyes on me, princess!"
I traced the curves with my fingers to tease her, and she closed her eyes in pleasure. She wanted me to kiss her there, but I was being stubborn to let her beg for my touch. Massaging her boobs within the clothes, I playfully caressed her cleavage.
She didn't say anything and I couldn't wait anymore so I accepted the defeat and buried my face in her chest, nibbling the soft creamy skin in my mouth.
"Ah-hmm!" She moaned loudly when I bit her skin hard, making sure to give a hickey.
Her cell phone started ringing and she pushed me away before grabbing the phone and accepting the call. Fuck! I didn't expect her to answer the call in the middle of our moment.
"What? You're home, Ben?" Her eyes widened and a big smile approached her lips. Jeez, I was scared of this man only. He had the authority to reject me and just one mistake, and he would kick me out of her life. I didn't know yet if she had filled him in on the Singapore matter or not.
