Chapter 109

Jason's pov :
I drove home and Barbie was silent during the whole drive which was so unusual, she was chatty but Ian's cruelty had flabbergasted us.
It hurt me seeing my sister's gloomy face but I couldn't tell her the truth. She didn't say anything and went directly into her room. My parents stepped inside the house and gave me an apologetic glance.
Smiling, I assured them I was okay and I didn't need their sympathy because I was really alright. It just hurt me to see everyone getting hurt by our actions.
"I'm sorry for ruining your Christmas, it could be better even if we had just a meal together in our house but it was my mistake to accept Ian's invitation." The mention of his name made my blood boil. I hated that bastard for what he was doing.
My dad came closer to me and patted my shoulder. "It's not your mistake. You're just like your mom as a lover, too kind and too innocent to this brutal world."
I wanted to oppose it but I resisted it as my phone beeped and I knew who it was. "Anyways, I'm going out. I'll be back in the morning so please, don't wait for me."
"Jay, but-" my mother opened her mouth to say something but she kept her words in her mouth so without giving anyone the second glance, I made my way to my car.
I called Theo who made it a conference call and added everyone else to the call. "Guys, are you ready to execute our plan?"
"Yes, sir!" Alex mocked and everyone started chuckling.
"Bastards! Here, I'm scared of losing my girl and you are mocking me." I cussed though they made me smile and I wasn't that tense because I knew that everything was in my favour till Ian didn't get to know about that.
Fiona mumbled, "I'm feeling so bad for Lia. She doesn't even know anything, she must be going through hell now."
The second her thought passed my ears, I stopped my car. Lia didn't know anything because that's what her brother wanted and I didn't want to ruin his plan. But that didn't mean I could do nothing to make my girl feel a little better.
I started my car again and started driving faster. "Alex, I'm sure that you'll be invited soon to Lia's place so make sure that you ask Ian to take her out for a date and as I've instructed you, just act like an arrogant fucker in front of him. Try to offend him by your words but don't utter a single word about our plan to him."
"Point noted, boss!" Alex muttered and I released the air through my mouth.
"Theo, bring my parents and sister with you when you come tomorrow. In fact, you should go to my place now and comfort my sister, she needs you right now." I advised him as soon as I recalled the look on her face.
Barbie was so worried about me and I knew that the moment she would get to know about our plan, I would be dead. Yeah, she would kill me for not taking her in!
"What the fuck! What exactly happened?" George questioned.
I explained, "As expected, he blackmailed us. Either Barbie would get engaged with Ben and I with Lia or Lia would get engaged with Alex."
"How dared he to be an asshole and blackmail Barbie?! I'm hanging up this call and going to your house. See you guys tomorrow!" Theo muttered in a furious voice and disconnected the call. None of us ever heard that furious tone of his, but I could understand his outrage as we were on the same boats.
Tomorrow was going to be a blast for everyone, especially for that bastard Ian. He was dangerous but he didn't know that I was one step ahead of him. Thanks to Ben who told me earlier about his cruel dad's plan.
The day Ian came to invite us for Christmas, I was already suspicious of his behaviour and when Ben asked me to meet him alone, without the knowledge of Lia and told me everything about his father, I was as sure as fuck that he was the most terrible father in the world.
Ben told me that Ian blackmailed him to leave his girlfriend and get engaged with Barbie. Otherwise, he would manipulate Lia into getting engaged with Alex. So basically he went first to Ben to get him under his control but when Ben didn't agree with him, he came to our place to invite us.
If we would have agreed to the engagement of Barbie and Ben, it would have been great for him as he just wanted a daughter-in-law according to his status and we were richer than him.
Ian was a great businessman, he wasn't at a loss in any situation. His evil brain had made a powerful plan to get done what he wanted!. He didn't want happiness for his children, he simply wanted a rich daughter-in-law and son-in-law for him, that's it!
According to him, his daughter already had a rich boyfriend. His only problem was that his son wasn't under his control but he knew that Ben would do anything for Lia so he practically went to control him but he didn't get the deal with him.
So he made another plan to manipulate us. Ian thought that our love was our weakness and he wanted to take advantage of that. If Barbie would have agreed, getting Ben on his side was just a piece of cake for him.
But we stood against him and he threw his last weapon at us. He blackmailed Lia for the sake of her brother's happiness, he made her sacrifice her love but the little he knew that we already had guessed it.
Fortunately, Ben had contacted me and told me every possibility of his ruthless dad's actions. He knew his dad very well, he kinda presumed that Ian would do it, and that bastard indeed did what Ben had guessed.
Lia could spoil our plan as she didn't have enough patience and would have spat on her dad's face that she wasn't afraid of anyone. And if she would have done that, Ian would directly arrange her marriage with Alex, though I knew that my best friend would never agree to that. Ben notified me that if Alex wouldn't agree, Ian would pick another rich groom for her.
It was just a game for Ian and he had played it his entire life so nobody could win against him. Ian knew only one thing, how to get things done as he wanted!. No matter with force, manipulation, or at the gunpoint!
The moment Ben mentioned force and gunpoint, I understood that messing with Ian directly could hurt my girl so we had to choose a different way to vanquish Ian Watson.
Lia wouldn't get engaged with Alex, but Ben would get engaged with a rich girl for the sake of his beloved sister's happiness and Lia would happily come back to me so it was a win-win for him in all the conditions. He was going to win in all the situations, that's what he thought.
A notification ring drew my attention and I took my phone to see that it was Alex. "Ian is such a restless son of a bitch. He invited us for breakfast tomorrow."
I smirked and sent him a thumbs-up emoji. Perfect! Our plan was going smoothly, I just needed to reach my beach house sooner and get things prepared for tomorrow.
Quickly parking my car, I rushed over to the hall of my house and found Ben with a girl there whom I assumed to be his girlfriend. "Jay! I'm finally relieved to see you here. How is Lia? Did you tell her everything?"
"You should learn to trust me completely. She is not in good condition but I'll make sure to make her happy tomorrow." I rolled my eyes when he narrowed his eyes at me in doubt.
He stood up from the couch and we shared a quick man-to-man hug. "I trust you, that's why I'm here!"
"He just loves his little sister more than you so he was worried." That pretty girl clasped his forearm.
"Sorry! I forgot to introduce you to him. He is Jay, and Jay, she is Sandra, my girlfriend!"
"Hi! Thank you so much for your help!" Sandra smiled genuinely, she was a little hesitant.
I returned the smile and answered, "I should be grateful to your boyfriend to help me. Otherwise, I would have fallen into Ian's traps."
"He is just a ruthless man who never loved anyone. Not my mom, and not even Li-" he shook his head and wiped his face with his hands.
I dabbed his back and sat on the couch. "It's already 4 am. We should start preparing for the wedding. Everyone would be here by the afternoon and the wedding should be finished before the afternoon, alright?" I reminded him and he nodded.
There were so many things to do before the wedding. I was the only one there who could prepare everything because it was my beach house and no one was familiar with its neighbourhood.
"I've asked the priest of the closest church for the wedding ceremony. He had agreed so the main thing for a wedding is done." Ben reported to me about his work and now it was my turn to start my work.
"The designer who would bring the clothes would reach here in the early morning and the makeup artist would be here at the same time. I have hired them from the same place so they work together and we don't need to worry about the bride's makeup or needs. Even though it's not a perfect wedding, I've tried my hardest to make everything closer to the perfect." I slightly chuckled and Sandra joined me.
She sat beside Ben and he pulled her closer. "Lia is lucky to have a boyfriend like you who can think about a girl's desires even in this critical situation."
Ben glared at her. "Do you think that you have a bad boyfriend?"
"Not at all! You're the best." Sandra pulled his cheeks and they smiled at each other, looking into each other's eyes.
I was already missing my girlfriend and they were making me feel jealous of them. "I'm going to buy some food so at least we won't faint due to hunger."
Soon I closed the door and was out of the house. I took my phone and saw the screen of my phone which was Lia and my picture of this beach house. "We'll be together forever. I love you." I mumbled, scratching the picture with my fingers and shoved my phone into the pocket again.
I bought food, called the media and arranged the party after the wedding at my beach house. After we finished eating, the designer and stylist came with our clothing and all the other necessary stuff.
The stylist insisted on giving me the perfect look though I refused because I didn't need it. Ben needed it more than me. After all, he was the groom. I was just a groomsman, I had tried my best to arrange a perfect wedding for Ben and Sandra.
"Hey, sexy groomsman! I'm here to give you company." George yelled and threw himself on me.
"I wish Lia would be here to see you in this tuxedo. I'm sure that she would have kissed you hard." Fiona uttered and smiled sadly, holding the flower bouquet in her hands.
George patted my shoulder and I just smiled back at them. I was missing Lia more than they could imagine, the last night was a complete sleepless and hard night. Not just because I was busy driving here and preparing for the wedding, but I was missing Lia.
"Jason Casano! You are dead today. Where are you, fucking asshole?" Barbie shouted while entering the house.
I ran to the hall and she started running behind me. "Theo, save me from your girlfriend!"
He raised his hands in defence. "She is your sister, too. You should have told her everything."
I mouthed fucker to him and stopped running. "Fine! Fine! Kill me!" I sat on the couch as I was exhausted and gasping for the air.
Barbie instantly jumped on me and encircled her arms around me. "You scared the shit out of me. I hate you for that."
"I love you!" Caressing her back, I just closed my eyes for a moment.
"Chop chop! The bride and groom are ready. Let's go to church!" The designer descended the stairs, Ben was standing behind him, looking so dashing and handsome in his tuxedo.
Taking a glance at my wristwatch, I got up from the couch as I realized it was already 11 pm and the media would be here on time so I wanted that wedding to be completed as soon as possible. I just hoped that Ian wouldn't have done something to Lia yet, and he wouldn't have known about our plan.
I was just waiting for this wedding to be done and Lia coming here with Alex. Only then I could take a breath of relief.
