Chapter 52

Jason's pov :
"Fiona, take this dress and please, help my princess to get ready!" I gave that Cinderella dress to her and Lia looked at me with perplexed eyes as she had no idea about why she would wear that dress for a dinner date!.
Her face was showing that she didn't like the idea of changing the dress. "What's wrong with this dress?" Lia pointed towards her cute dress which she did wear for our beach date. "I get tired of changing dresses and makeup, and…"
Before she could finish her complaints, Fiona held her hand and started walking her inside the dressing room. I chuckled at her innocent puppy face.
"You'll love it, baby!" I kissed her cheek and grinned. I was sure that she would love this dress and the surprise, too.
I followed the girls but Fiona halted me, "you are not allowed in the room and you should wait outside until I'm done with her make-up, okay?"
Sighing, I rolled my eyes and nodded. I knew that she wouldn't let me in at any cost so I avoided arguing with her.
"Don't worry, your wait will be worth it." She winked at me and closed the door and I rolled my eyes.
After half an hour, she finally opened the door and Lia slowly walked out of the room, gathering the dress in her hands and pouting her lips.
"Happy Birthday, my princess!" I cheered and as soon as my eyes travelled her whole body, I felt it was worth waiting for that.
A lock of her perfectly curled hair fell on her face, and she took it away with her pretty hand that was covered in a glove while keeping a tight-lipped smile on her face. The blue gown gave her the look of Cinderella, and I loved this princess.
Her pink lips parted and curled up into a beautiful smile when she caught me checking her out, her teeth shone like diamonds and my eyes were feeling gratification to see that gorgeous sight of the girl for whom I was falling more per day.
She stopped a few inches away from me, "I'm already happy to spend a lovely evening with you, the date with sunset and beach was so romantic. I loved it, I don't want anything else but you." Her confession made my heart skip a beat, sometimes she would utter about her feelings unexpectedly and I would be surprised with her blunt yet romantic attitude.
"I was your date, not the sunset and beach," correcting her, I cupped her cheeks and pouted.
"Jay, let me remind you one thing that it took me half an hour to give her a perfect look so you guys better stay away for a while until your date gets over, okay? Otherwise, you'll ruin my hard work!" Fiona rushed over to us and gave us a warning like a teacher.
I was about to do the thing she just refused to do but we needed to maintain this look until Lia cut the cake, "you don't need to work hard and give her a perfect look! She looks perfect in all the outfits and any hairstyle."
Lia's cheeks were flushing at my comment and the blush was all over her face. Her cute little nose was red and she bit her lip to hide the smile.
I made her look into my eyes by holding her chin. "Don't do this! You know, it's hard to resist when you do this." Pointing towards her lips, I kissed her cheeks one by one and whispered in her ear. "It didn't ruin your makeup, right?" I winked at her.
"You guys go now! Otherwise, you'll be late for your date night." Fiona disturbed my flirting and I frowned, she couldn't even let me have a moment with my girl.
Lia walked to Fiona. "What's about our plan, Fee?" She murmured to her though I could hear it.
Maybe they had some plans for her birthday but she felt that Fee would get hurt because she was going on a date night with me despite celebrating her birthday with her best friend.
My girl didn't know that we had arranged a surprise theme party for her at my place.
I requested Fiona to invite all the boys because we were still off and after that day, we haven't talked yet. It seemed like everyone had chosen their different path and they were going to their different destinations.
It won't be a lie if I would say that I missed them every single day. I was nervous about meeting them, and it was feeling like we were going to meet after ages.
"It's your house, Jay. Weren't we supposed to go on a date night outside?" Lia asked when I stopped the car.
"I arranged our date at my home, let's go now!" I opened the door for her and helped her get out of the car.
She rolled her eyes, "I'm wearing the gown for the first time and it's making me exhausted to carry this gown."
"Do you want me to carry you inside?" I smirked and she giggled.
"You are in a romantic mood today, aren't you?"
"I'm always but I'm waiting for the day when you'll be the same romantic like me."
She stopped walking and extended her arms. "Carry me, sweetheart!" Uttering like a baby, she pouted and made me chuckle at her cuteness.
I picked her up and started waddling. "You look so cute as a baby whenever you try to romance with me."
She pouted and then gave me an affectionate smile, fluttering her eyes. Damn, this girl! She could make me giggle, horny, and romantic at the same time.
We entered the house and Lia tightened her grip on my shoulders. "Why is there darkness here? Where are the lights?" She mumbled in a timid voice. Her hands started shaking and she closed her eyes.
"Do you have anxiety from the darkness, baby?" I put her down, the lights got on and rose petals were already falling on her.
She didn't answer my question, I knew she wouldn't accept her weakness so without saying anything, I pulled her into a hug and she immediately buried her face in my chest, wrapping her arms around my hips.
I nuzzled her hair and stroked her back gently to calm her down and make her feel comfy.
"Happy birthday, Lia!" Everyone shouted in unison and threw balloons at us.
Lia quickly looked at everyone with a dropped jaw and I closed her mouth with my finger, stifling a chuckle.
"Surprise!" They again yelled with enthusiasm together and she glanced at me.
I was waiting for her to say something but she was staring into my eyes in turmoil. "Thank you for everything! It's the best day of my life." She finally opened her mouth and a sweet blush adorned her face.
I finally released the air that I didn't know was stuck in my lungs.
She turned her gaze to everyone else and screamed happily, "thank you, everyone!"
George and Fiona were standing ahead of everyone, Theo and Barbie were standing alone. I had asked Barbie to invite Derrick to the party but maybe the famous photographer was busy with his job or felt embarrassed to come into a theme party for teenagers.
Wait! Didn't Fiona invite Alex? I was sure that if she would invite my friends, they would come for the sake of Lia.
If she hadn't invited Alex, it would be an enormous mess again. He would think that his presence never mattered to us.
"Seems like we are late and the party has already started, huh?"
I turned behind to see him, thank God! Fiona had invited him and I was delighted to see that he came.
I was about to hug him but then a blonde girl appeared from behind. My words remained in my mouth and my body refused to move.
"No, you aren't late, Alex! The birthday girl has just arrived with her boyfriend," Fiona replied and welcomed them.
"I'm glad that you came, Bella!" Lia hugged his girlfriend from the side.
"Happy birthday, Lia! You are looking like a princess, you have dressed up as Cinderella, haven't you?" She uttered with a plastered grin on her face.
Bella had worn a yellow coloured hoodie that had a print of Pikachu, and Alex was dressed in the costume of Superman.
Lia caught my arm, "yeah, my boyfriend's choice is great, right?" She threw a prideful smile at her.
"Happy birthday, Lia!" Alex wished her and avoided looking at me.
Lia smiled at him, "thank you, Alex!"
Barbie didn't know what happened between us but she knew that we fought. She was looking pretty in Elsa's costume.
"We are going to have fun tonight! Welcome to our home and make yourself comfortable guys!" Barbie came and welcomed them.
George looked at me with pleading eyes, he was looking funny in spiderman's red underwear. I knew he wanted to talk to me but I just smiled and avoided chatting.
Fiona dressed up as Jasmine, maybe my house was going to be Disneyland.
I searched for Theo who was still standing a little farther than us, Lia took me to him. "You are my brother, right? And you are not gonna wish me, hmm?" Lia grimaced in grief.
"Of course, I'll wish you! Happy birthday to my one and only sister and the cutest girl in the world," Theo hugged Lia and smiled at me.
I returned the smile and noticed that he was looking handsome in that Aladdin's attire.
Everyone was dressed up in cartoon characters except me because I was preparing for the surprise and I forgot to buy any dress for myself.
"Go upstairs, Jay! And change into something related to this party," Barbie suggested and I put my hands on my face.
She instantly got me, "have you forgotten to buy any costume for yourself?"
I just nodded and Lia started chuckling.
Alex and George were standing close to each other and I was praying to Jesus that they would not start any fight.
"Let's play music and dance!" Theo solved my problem and saved me from a miserable situation.
