Chapter 53

Jason's pov :
The party was getting awkward because of my friends who were behaving like strangers, no one was ready to start a conversation. And I was dying to talk to them, I missed them a lot, I needed my friends in my life, how much time everyone would take to realize that our friendship was too precious to be broken like that!
I changed into a yellow collar t-shirt and blue short paint and wore a spectacle, of course, of my dad! Barbie decided to make me Nobita because the party had a cartoon theme and I was breaking the dress code so she arranged the worst look for me.
"I can't guarantee if Lia will still choose you as her boyfriend or not," Barbie mocked me and started giggling.
Lia was dancing with Theo, and when she glanced at me, she suppressed her lips and waved her hand to me.
"Can you still see everything properly with this?" She pointed towards my spectacle.
"It's my dad's old specs, I'm feeling like there is so much weight on my nose and head but who cares?" I shrugged.
Theo chuckled, "bro, you can take off this spectacle. This blue short is already making you look like a jerk so you don't need to carry the whole look of Nobita."
I looked at Barbie with narrowed eyes who was giggling and making me look like a jerk.
Lia took off my spectacle, "don't tease my boyfriend! You guys are so bad, he just forgot about himself while taking care of me so I can't see him like this. Go and change into whatever you like!" She embraced me.
"Aww! So cute!" Barbie grinned.
Theo cleared his throat, "I guess we could say the same for you and that photographer but it seems like he doesn't have time for you." He folded his arms and teased Barbie.
"At least, I have a boyfriend but look at you, you are the only one who is alone here. Everyone is in a couple where you, you don't even have a dance partner here," Barbie barked at him and smirked.
"It's fine! I don't need a girlfriend, I can't handle any drama from a girl as I'm too busy with my dancing competitions. I don't even have time to study."
Barbie derided, "why don't you say that no one is interested in you?"
"Guys, I'll be back in five minutes! Please, continue your dance! Don't fight!" I gave a tight-lipped smile to everyone and made my way to the room again.
I didn't know what was wrong with Barbie and Theo but I definitely didn't enjoy their fight, they were behaving like kids who make fun of each other and try to be cool.
After changing into a flannel shirt and denim, I descended the stairs. George and Alex were dancing with their girlfriends, Theo was dancing with Lia, and Barbie was nowhere to be seen.
I went into the kitchen to bring out the cake. Barbie was talking to someone on the phone in the kitchen. And when she saw me, she ended the call and asked me to go to the gaming room as she had arranged everything there. I asked her why she chose the gaming room when we could celebrate her birthday in the hall but she just frowned and requested me to follow her order.
While passing through the hallway, I noticed no one was there. Maybe everyone was already in the gaming room so I just went upstairs.
I opened the door and saw George, Alex, and Theo standing in three different spots in one room. The memories flipped through my mind when everyone used to quarrel to sit on the bigger couch of this room and playing games, seeing everyone standing alone broke my heart. I never thought that one day, we would be separated.
"Seems like girls are busy gossiping," I broke the silence.
Alex looked at me like he was seeing an alien, George smiled. Theo sighed and snickered, "ya, seems so!"
I smiled and regretted why I opened my mouth!
"I'll be back in two minutes," I said and moved to open the door.
I tried to open the door of the room but it wasn't opening.
"What's wrong with this door?" I muttered and tried again to open the door.
Alex laughed at me, "seems like you have lost your energy, go aside! I'll open the door."
"Sure! Go and try!" I grinned because I knew what will happen next!
He tried and tried again almost six times, "seems like something is wrong with this door." He scowled and sat on the couch.
"Nothing is wrong with the door, boys! Something is wrong with you, you need to sort this out and the door won't be opened until you are friends again. I'll be back after an hour," Fiona gave us the warning.
"What the fuck, Fiona! Please, open the door!" George shouted through the closed door.
Fiona didn't say anything, maybe she already left.
"Let me call Bella!" Alex cockily uttered and called his girlfriend.
When he again dialled her number, George giggled, "seems like she has forgotten that she has a boyfriend."
"No! She is not like you who will leave me or forget me," Alex said in a cold tone.
"You left everyone and for your kind information, no one from us has been talking to each other since the day you left because either it's all or none!" George accosted while sitting on another couch.
For a moment, Alex didn't utter anything. "I didn't deny you to be friends," he bounced his shoulders.
Theo put his hands on his waist, "will you guys stop fighting? Aren't you tired of fighting?"
"His bloody secret broke our bond and he doesn't even regret it, he is behaving like he didn't make any mistake," George shouted in irritation.
"Holy shit! Like you never kept any secret from us, right? No one is right, everyone kept secret from us but everyone wants to blame me," Alex laughed sarcastically.
What did I hide? I needed to ignore his words because he wasn't even speaking after thinking.
"Guys, can we just stop playing this blame game? I'm hating this," Theo shrugged off.
"Theo is right! We need to talk peacefully, not like this," I sat on the couch beside Theo.
Alex stood up from the couch, "I didn't want to play any blame game but since you think so, I need to make sure that I play smart. Jay, don't you think that you always treated Theo differently than us? And you, Theo! You like Barbie but you are still hiding this from everyone."
"What?" It was my reaction when I heard Alex's rubbish. I looked at Theo in expectation of an answer that whatever Alex blabbered was a pure lie.
"I hid it because of our damn friendship but you fucking bastard couldn't even keep it to yourself," Theo shouted at Alex. "Since this asshole has told you the truth, I want to explain it to you."
"Fuck off! I don't want to hear your shit, keep it to yourself!" I was outraged so I marched to the door, "Is anyone here? Open the door, right now! Otherwise, I'll break it," I screamed out.
When no one said anything, I just pushed the door and after three trials, the door got opened or I could say, it was broken.
I didn't look back to see them, all I could hear was silence. Perhaps they didn't argue after I yelled at Theo.
How could he like my sister?
I was feeling deceived, he even told Alex about it and kept it a secret from me. I was getting why he was behaving like that with Barbie that day on her photoshoot. Bastards! I had bastard friends who didn't deserve the friendship.
No matter how I was feeling, I didn't want to spoil Lia's birthday. So I calmed down and started searching for Lia but no one was in the hallway or kitchen.
I just wanted to take her somewhere else and celebrate her birthday alone, I didn't want anybody else to be there. Only her smile could calm down my anger.
I went into the garden area, and my legs refused to move after seeing her in another man's arms. I stood startlingly there.
"I love you, Lily!" The man flung out and didn't leave the space for the air between them.
"I love you, too. I missed you so much!" Lia laid down her hands lazily on his waist.
The words that I was dying to hear from her, she was stating it to someone else. Everyone and everything was fake, I was a fool to trust everyone.
"So you love him, right? You were cheating on me and I was planning surprises for you! I'm a fucking loser who doesn't know the truth of anyone. Why did you do this to me? What was my fault? To trust you blindly?" I just blurted out in a high pitched voice.
She pulled away from that man and gazed at me with a hurtful look but didn't utter a word.
"You know what, just stay with this bastard! I don't want cheaters in my life anymore, I'm glad that I faced the truth today, the bitter truth!" I smirked, "I loved you with all my heart and you, you did this to me? That's why you never said those words to me, right? Because you loved this," I pointed to the man who was giving me a death glare, "this fucker!"
"You love this man so much, right?" I again asked to hear it from her, my heart still wanted it to be a lie or a bad dream but my mind knew that it was real.
She came closer to me and looked into my eyes, "yes, I love this man so much!" Her eyes were reflecting the truth and rage.
For a second, I was dumbstruck.
"I hate myself for loving a girl like you! You don't deserve my love!" I whispered into her ears and thumped the bench of the garden.
Without saying anything, she just walked away.
