Chapter 28

Liliana's pov :
George and Fiona were staring into each other's eyes with rage on their faces. Whenever a boy and a girl stare into each other's eyes, it means to be a lovely and romantic moment but in their case, it was different.
"I guess George will be silent as always, he never says anything when Fiona mocks him, what do you say, Alex?" Jason spoke while stroking his chin with his thumb and index finger.
I looked at everyone in dismay, I couldn't believe that they were finding fun in that situation. Jason noticed me rolling my eyes.
He immediately made a puppy face. "Oh! I'm sorry! I haven't introduced you to my friends yet, this is Alex," he pointed towards the green-eyed guy, "and this gentleman is Theo," he indicated to the wavy-haired boy.
"I'm also a gentleman, Jay," Alex grimaced in annoyance. Everyone ignored him as if he didn't even say anything and they were deaf.
Oh! So the tattooed guy's name is Alex, his both arms are fully covered by the tattoos but I couldn't understand the design properly, perhaps it was an anime.
Theo had wavy hair like me, he seems a fit and cool person. His personality gives a gentleman vibe, decent clothes, a genuine smile, and a perfect body to become a model or an actor.
"Now, stand like a statue! Don't even utter a word! That's what you can do the best, right? Or just walk away or throw me on the ground or be dumb," Fee yelled through her lungs in a frustrated tone, my best friend was crying and I was just enjoying the show.
This thought made me feel guilty and I narrowed my eyes at Jason, "you know what, I…" he halted me, "you should have some patience, Lia. Just wait and watch! Everything will be alright, nothing can be solved without communication," he shrugged off.
Maybe he was right because you just need to clear your thoughts and feelings for nobody else but your peace of mind. No one could understand that better than me.
George took her face in his hands and wiped her tears. He opened his mouth to say something but then, he chose to remain silent and gritted his teeth.
"Look I told you this fucker will be silent as always," Jay cursed in rage and Theo scowled.
"No, Jay! Today George will speak, I can sense it." Alex protested and smirked.
"Do you even have sense? I thought you were insane." Theo mocked and we giggled at his joke.
Alex stared at us while folding his hands. "George never looked at her in that way and have you ever seen him holding her face?" He wiggled his eyebrows and Theo nodded.
I didn't know anything about their relationship like how they behaved with each other before because Fee and I became friends just a few days ago so I chose to remain silent.
Fee shook her head and took a step back from him, "I fucking love you, George! But I can't love a person anymore who is still living in his past, who doesn't even have the guts to talk about his past, who can't speak when I need to listen to him. Your silence is killing me, it's breaking my heart and me, why do you bother to wipe my tears when you are the reason behind the sparkling droplets of my eyes? Why do you care? Why do you give me hope?"
Her face became red and scrunched up, her voice was cracked, tears were continuously streaming down her cheeks. Her eyes were bloodshot red and puffiness appeared around her pretty eyes.
She paused for a while still looking into George's eyes, "I'm a dumbass, emotional fool, and moron. Why am I telling you this when you don't give a fuck about anything? You, lily-livered, just live in the past," Fee cried out, covered her face in disgrace and started running far away from him.
I wanted to follow her but I couldn't ignore George who was still peering at her but didn't dare to go to her.
Jason, Alex, and Theo quickly rushed to him, everyone patted his shoulders. He still didn't avert his gaze from the path to which Fee escaped from him.
"I don't care about anything else, not even your past. This is your present, George! You have two options now; either live with your past, stand here quietly or love your present and go to her right now," I warned him, trying to be as polite as I could be.
Theo held George's arms and made him look at us. "George, we never forced you to talk about your past but you have to move on from it. We are not forcing you into the relationship but we know you better than anybody else and you also love her," he also finished his part.
His friends were the only people who could make him understand that he was making a great mistake while standing there silently. He needed to open up his heart to her and if today, he chose to stay silent and break my best friend's heart, I swear to God, I'll never let him be close to Fiona!
"Yes, buddy! You love him and that's why we are asking you to be with Fiona. She is not like others, she is an amazing and kind girl with no gimmicks. Who knows you might end up being a good boy?! I mean, there are plenty of movies and dramas where a bad boy falls in love and the girl changes him completely." Alex shrugged and also tried to advise though he doesn't look like has a brain.
For the last part of his speech, I wanted to give a pat on his shoulder but I guess I'll do it the next time if he would keep proving that he had a brain.
We glanced at Jason expecting that he would also say something and try to convince him, he was still just standing beside George. When he eyed me, he opened his mouth, "I'm not gonna say what everyone else is saying because I know, you can't forget your past just in one second and love Fiona but you don't know that you really love her. And I know that you won't accept your love that easily but you can't stand here mute, too."
He hadn't finished yet, "even if you don't want to accept your love, you have to move on from your past. You cannot leave a girl crying alone, you definitely should go to her and talk to her," Jason uttered while looking at me.
"What the heck are you spitting out, Jason? Do you think that you are always right? You know everything, right? Let me tell you one thing very clearly that I'm not gonna let anyone hurt my best friend! She confessed her love in front of us, and let me inform you that for a girl, confessing her love isn't easy. I want you to go behind her only if you love her, not because you need someone to forget your past."
"Can you just stay cool? No one is hurting your best friend, she is our friend, too." Jason retorted with a frustrated face.
I can't tolerate this anymore, "either you are going or I'm going and trust me, once you choose to be a coward, there is no chance for you to get Fiona again in the future. I'll make sure of that," I directly told George and ignored Jason.
"I don't deserve her," George mumbled and left the spot.
"He didn't say that he doesn't love Fiona, there is still hope. Please, give some time to both of them to understand their feelings and we'll figure out something for them," Theo patted my shoulders and I just nodded because he wasn't wrong either. He was really a gentleman.
Jason asked Alex and Theo to go to George, and also ordered them to wait for Fee.
We went to search for Fee. "I should have followed Fee, even though nothing good happened from my presence, he is just a coward." I kept walking and mumbled to myself.
"Life with no regret is the best life," he uttered while walking behind me, "you should try, not cry. Your every attempt matters because you put your 100% into your efforts."
Why is he more mature than me? Just because he is my senior or because he thinks a lot and has patience…?
There are so many questions which I want to ask him, I want to be honest with him, too. I need to share my feelings with him, I can't wait for a lifetime.
I just want to clear my head, and if I don't tell him, these feelings will kill me. I was asking George to make a decision either now or never! I also should follow my words perhaps.
After all, I needed my peace of mind that was lately missing because of him.
