Chapter 61
Jason's pov :
Why would we snatch her boyfriend away from her? That girl was a psychopath for sure. George was probably right, she was a bitch and somewhere, she was a major reason behind our separation.
Thanks to Barbie for lashing out the truth in Bella's face, despite accepting her mistake, she blamed us for her ridiculous lies. Poor George was being blamed for no reason, Alex even believed that bitch, not his friend whom he knew very well and that thing was pricking me, and fucking disappointed me.
"Just leave!" Alex mumbled while gritting his teeth, his eyes never meeting hers, his face was reddened due to the outrage.
Bella took his hand in hers, "you love me, right?" Her eyebrows arched in worry.
Such an unscrupulous girl!
"I never loved a liar, I loved an honest and pure-hearted girl but that was a different girl, not you!" Alex shouted and harshly removed her hand. "Before I lose my temper and start misbehaving with you, just leave!"
She started whimpering. "Alex, I love...," Alex pointed his index finger, giving a warning to her not to utter a word, "I don't want you to say more fucking lies. Just fucking leave from here!" His eyes widened in rage, he turned his face to another side.
Bella shot a wicked glare at each of us and left the spot wiping her tears.
As soon as she walked off, Barbie took the jug that was lying on the table and hurled all the water on all the boys' faces one by one, "let me know if you haven't cooled down yet!" She folded her hands and stood like a teacher.
I wiped my face off with my hands. "What was that, Barbie?"
"Water!" She simply pronounced and shrugged. "You guys are the most stupid friends on this planet, you are gonna sort out everything right now, and if you won't…" she threatened everyone.
"No! We'll," George cried out in fear of getting completely wet. That's what exactly Barbie would do, no one could stop her from doing anything.
Lia smiled at me and murmured, "don't you think that you should apologise to her and ask her if she likes Theo or…?"
I closed my eyes to assure her that I would do it. As everyone knew that Theo liked my sister, there was nothing to hide from everyone else but I knew Barbie wouldn't accept my apology that early so I needed to wait to be forgiven by my sister.
"Theo and Barbie, I'm sorry for being a jerk to you guys. I was totally unfair, I misbehaved with everyone but I want to know the complete truth from you, now. Theo, do you love my sister?"
Theo's eyes widened in shock while Barbie scowled and rolled her eyes.
Ben walked to Lia, "let's go, Lily! You don't need to live in this mess, you deserve some better friends and a great birthday. We can go to any restaurant and celebrate your birthday there," he held Lia's hand and forced her to walk.
I forgot that Ben was tolerating our shits and I owed an apology to him, too. I was about to seize her other hand and stop her from going.
But she didn't move from her spot and he turned to see why she wasn't coming with him, "Ben, I can understand your concern but these people are my best friends and they have been so good to me. I deserve them and they deserve me, there were some complications between us but that doesn't mean they are horrible. I love them, they love me, you haven't seen me with them when we were so happy and these people made me believe in friendship and love."
Ben smiled at her and patted her head gently, "if you are saying this, I won't doubt anything or anyone, I understand you but please, take care of yourself! I'm leaving for the airport now."
"Aren't you gonna meet mom and dad?"
Ben sighed, "mom and dad? Even if I go there, nothing will be different. That's not home actually, that's just a mansion where rich people live as people live in hotels, not like a family lives in a home. I just wanted to give you a surprise so I contacted Fiona via Instagram and Barbie helped me with reaching here."
"I know that but still, they are our parents and Richard needs you, he also has the right to meet his brother like me, you should at least meet him," she pleaded and Ben pulled her in a hug.
"He doesn't need anyone, he is just too pampered by our mom because he does everything just like her, he should be strong like you."
Perhaps their family was also messed up like mine so I got it. Even though I had Barbie and my father as the name of the family, my mother cared more about money than us, my father couldn't give us more time as he had the responsibility of earning for his family.
Lia shrugged, "since you have decided that you are not gonna visit anyone, I can't force you, but when Richard will get to know that you visited me on my birthday, he'll be super envious of me and furious with you."
"Oh, come on! That boy needs to grow up, I'm sure you can handle his drama." He chuckled and Lia also joined him in. "I wish I could take you with myself but you have to finish your high school first, then I'll live a happier life with my little princess," Ben uttered in a cheerful voice and simpered.
Why did he want to take her away from me? I was also a part of her life, how could he just think about himself? Even after trying not to be possessive, my heart felt defeated when he mentioned to take her with him.
"I'm so sorry for whatever happened, Ben! Today is Lia's day, we can handle our matters later, too. Let's celebrate her birthday together and then, we'll come along to drop you at the airport!" Alex surprised me with his sudden words that absolutely no one expected.
Ben looked at him with a baffled look, "are you sure? You won't fight?"
Alex smiled, "yes! No! Wait! Yes, I'm sure and we won't fight." He was also confused. "Jay, you have ordered a cake, right?"
I nodded and went into the kitchen to bring the cake. When I reached the hall, the music had already started and everyone was teasing Lia by shouting HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PRINCESS!
They needed time to forget all the mess but they at least tried to give priority to Lia and that's what mattered!
Lia cut the cake and offered the first slice of the cake to her brother, no matter how mature and cool I was trying to be but I felt envious of Ben, he was having what I wanted.
He threw me a mischievous grin, "you wanted to eat the cake first, didn't you?" He scoffed, took a slice, and made me eat the cake by himself.
"I don't know how to apologize to you, Ben but I'm really ashamed of my deeds. I shouldn't have cursed you and…, uh…" I started stammering, I didn't know how to apologize to someone because I never needed to do so.
The first and last time I asked for forgiveness was from Lia, I was being treated like a billionaire's son and there was no wonder in that, I had always had the privilege of being the son of the wealthiest person.
"You didn't stutter when you were prattling," he sneered and pasted the remaining cake on my face, "then you shouldn't be hesitant to apologize."
I sighed and released a smile, "it's because I don't know how to…! But I'm sorry for that, Lia is lucky to have a brother like you who is not short-tempered like me, you are the coolest brother in the world," I pressed my lips when I remembered how I acted with Barbie.
"If next time we'll meet, I should be the one who should say that Lia is fortuitous to have a boyfriend like you, okay? All I want is her happiness, nothing else! If it's you who makes her happy, I'll let you be in her life but Jay, don't take her for granted!" The smile disappeared from his face. "She deserves the happiness only, Lily never had the best friends, she had so many friends in her life before but they were not her friends anyway. Do you know Justin?"
Lia never told me that she had so many friends, still, there were so many things about her that I didn't know.
"Yes! Why are you asking about him?"
"He was Lily's first friend but he is an asshole, he couldn't be a good friend to her so she lost the faith in the friendship. Yet when I saw her love for you in her eyes, I felt delighted to see that she wasn't my lonely sister anymore. Please, take care of my sister and never leave her alone!"
