Chapter 111

Liliana's pov :
My mouth hung open seeing my brother kissing a girl in front of everyone in the church. I wasn't a fool to understand what it meant when a girl in a white gown stood next to the man in a tuxedo in a church.
They were smiling after sharing a passionate kiss, Ben stopped when the priest cleared his throat and everyone started chuckling.
Jay closed my mouth as I was still stunned and couldn't decide how to react?! I should be happy for my brother's happiness but he didn't invite me to his wedding and it made me upset so I pouted and turned my back.
"Hey! You shouldn't behave like an immature kid." Jay stopped me and pulled me closer, making me face him.
"Lia!" Ben shouted and started running towards me. When he reached closer to me, he pulled me in a tight hug and rubbed my hair. "I'm sorry, Lia! Please, don't be mad at me! Give me a chance to explain!"
Jay patted his shoulder and mumbled, "you are embarrassing your wife. She is standing alone there, you should have taken her with you here. Go back and I'll explain everything to Lia."
I pushed him and pouted, "go back to your wife and don't forget that you owe me an explanation and apology!" Crossing my hands, I turned my gaze to Jay who was suppressing his lips not to laugh.
He mouthed you're cute and I blushed, forgetting whatever happened last night. "You owe me an explanation, too. But I'll deal with you later."
"Meet my wife, Sandra! Sandra, this is my sister, Lily-"
"Lia!" Jay interrupted and Ben couldn't help but giggle at his jealousy because I didn't let him call me Lily yet.
"You're looking gorgeous, Sandra! My brother has got a pretty wife." I hugged her and she blushed before thanking me.
Sandra and Ben were looking perfect together. Ben was a smart guy, if he had chosen her then she must be special and kind. She was the perfect sweet, innocent, and simple girl who was feeling shy to even talk to me.
"Ben always talked about you, he was so sure that you would like me and accept me no matter what," Sandra uttered, keeping her gaze at Ben.
"Aww, you're so sweet. I'm so happy for both of you. Please, take good care of this sweet girl!" I warned Ben and he bowed his head in mockery.
Fiona and George came to us and my best friend instantly took me in a bone-crushing hug. "I'm sorry but I was asked to keep it a secret from you for your safety."
I pulled her away from me and held her hands. "Did you also know this plan?"
"I'm with you. We were the only girls who didn't know this, right?" Barbie narrowed her eyes at Jay, nudging his stomach.
"Ouch! Because you both are too strong to handle. If we would have told you about the plan, you both would have spat it in front of Ian." Jay explained a little and it made sense.
After all, we both were kinda bold and intrepid. I wouldn't have surrendered to my dad for sure. "Now will you bother to explain everything? All I know is that Ben and Sandra are married now. I'm sure that I'm missing a lot."
I looked at Jay and Ben one by one, and both of them suppressed their lips. Jay took my hand and lifted me again in his arms. "I'll fill you in. But we have a party after the wedding and the media is also coming so first of all, you need to get ready and we have to get there on time."
"Ahem!" Ben cleared his throat and yanked our attention.
"What? You kissed your bride in front of us in the church. Now, this is my future bride, don't act like a possessive brother." Jay shrugged and started walking to the place where his car was parked.
I blushed at his words and heard everyone's laughter behind us. Jay bent a little and gave me a small pack on my lips. "I'll kiss you in the church one day and will never let you leave me!."
He made me sit in his car and started driving. The area was quite unfamiliar, I didn't even know where I was!.
"Where are we? And where is this party? And why have you invited the media? I don't like paparazzi, Jay." I pouted and raised my brows in annoyance.
"My question machine! How kind of a girlfriend you are?! You're just asking me questions since the moment you came here instead of showing me some love after what you did last night." He threw a furious glance at me and I would be lying if I said that I didn't feel scared.
"Ahem! Um, it's not like that. You know, I love you and-" I began explaining my point but he put his index finger on my lips and soon his feather touches to my lips made me feel a shiver in my whole body.
He stopped the car and pulled me closer. His hands cupped my cheeks and I slowly opened my eyes to see a charming smile on his face. "You love me, and that's enough for me! I don't need an explanation."
Before he could kiss me, a knock on the window of his car made him roll his eyes. "What's wrong with you, Alex?" Jay said without even seeing his face, he was facing me and Alex was standing on his backside window.
I opened the window and Alex started complaining, "you're such a mean friend. Look, what your girlfriend did to my hand!" He showed his hand where the marks of my teeth were buried in his skin.
Jay looked at me and we both started chuckling. "He was forcing me to go on a date with him. I had no choice," I shrugged and looked at Alex who was shaking his head in disbelief.
"Dude, next time, I'm not going to help you with your plans. You can ask George or Theo but not me. Your girlfriend is dangerous, she could even kill me." He rolled his eyes and we got out of the car.
"Wow! It's your beach house." I jumped and kissed his cheek.
He smiled at me and then, eyed Alex. "We are ready for the party, right?" He nodded and told him that all the preparations were done.
Jay and I walked directly to his room and my jaw dropped to the floor when I saw a beautiful white dress resting on his bed. He called someone to help me with getting ready for the party. He had hired the stylist who hid the mirror from me and did something with my hair and face.
During this time, Jay explained everything to me, how Ben and he made the plan and he helped my brother with his wedding and kept it a secret from my dad. I didn't know until then that my dad was that dangerous and cruel, I hated my dad for doing that to us.
Sandra and Ben didn't deserve a wedding like this without the family. But I was happy that at least they got married in the best possible ways. All the credit to my boyfriend who indeed arranged everything perfectly.
I even saw his parents but didn't go to see them as they were talking to someone and we were in a hurry for the party. The media would be here anytime and we didn't want to be late.
"Now, you can see yourself in the mirror." A blonde girl, the stylist said and closed the door behind her, leaving Jay and me alone in the room.
"You look gorgeous, Love." He whispered in my ear, kissing my cheek. Wrapping his arms around my belly, he smiled at the mirror and the heat ran across my cheeks.
"I look gorgeous with you only." I plopped my hand on his cheek and rested the other hand on his hands.
He made me turn to face him. "If you don't want me to ruin your makeup and tear off this dress off your body, let's leave this room!"
Tittering at his words, I waved him off and he kissed the tip of my nose. Jay extended his hand to hold my hand and I gave my hand like a princess.
"When will we get married?" He excitedly asked me, walking outside of the house.
"When you'll propose to me, I guess." I scoffed and he stopped at his last step.
"I don't have a ring. Just wait for me, I'll be back in ten minutes." He uttered and was ready to leave my hand but I grasped his arms.
Taking his hands into mine, I mumbled, "I'm sorry! I was kidding. Let me be a doctor, first!"
He rolled his eyes and without saying anything, started walking towards the beach which was decorated completely like a wedding party destination.
Everyone was smiling at us as we walked towards the couple like a couple, I had to bite my lip to hide my blush.
"Sandra, we forgot to do that bouquet toss tradition. Why don't you do it now?" Selena suggested to her and smiled at me which I returned with a hug.
"I hope you are fine now, sweetheart!" Selena pressed her lips and I smiled to show that I was more than happy with her son.
"Nothing wrong can happen to me when your son is by my side!" I firmly said, looking at Jay who was rolling his eyes because I was talking to his mom.
Asher patted my back and grinned. "How is my brave daughter now? We are all ready to take your father down."
"To be honest, I'm really shameful for my father's deeds. I just can't wait to finish this year of my high school and move out of that mansion." Asher and Selena were so frank that I never felt like they were Jay's parents. They were more like my friends with whom I could talk about anything without getting judged.
"Look at those paparazzi! They have clicked the pictures of Ben and Sandra so the news will be out soon and your parents will be here soon." Theo pointed at the reporters who were clicking pictures like it was the last day of their holding a camera.
I didn't expect that Jay would hire guards for the media so they won't let them come nearer to us!. I thought that as soon as they would arrive, all of us will be surrounded by them and they would be yelling their fucking questions at us but I was impressed with Jay's smartness.
As if Asher had read my mind, he declared, "your boyfriend is too young to think of that level. It was Selena and I who called our guards because we knew that none of you had any experience with the paparazzi so you can thank us later!." He winked at me and I giggled.
"I'm really grateful to everyone for being here and helping Ben and me, and I mean it." Placing my hand on my heart, I expressed my gratitude.
"Okay! Okay! Now it's time for a photo shoot before the bouquet tossing ceremony." Barbie clapped her hands and shoved all of us to the stage where the bride and groom were done with their photoshoot.
Jay took my hand and asked the photographer to take our pictures. Everyone laughed at his excitement and I couldn't help but blush as if I was the bride.
We clicked pictures with the bride and groom and a family photo of Jay's family in which his parents insisted on having Theo and me, too. Then, those crazy four friends had their personal shoot so we also decided to have the girls' photoshoot.
"We are missing only one girl to stand by Alex's side." Asher made his point and Alex giggled at him.
"I'm not ready to handle all this drama. I'm happy with my single life." He raised his hands in defence and everyone scowled at his words because no one was single except him.
George remarked, "you are missing out on something very special. Once you fall in love, you start changing yourself without hesitation for the girl whose smile can make your heart skip a beat."
"Woah!" We started clapping for his words, and Fiona hid her face with her hands, of course, my shy best friend!
"You boys can never stop talking. Let's do that bouquet toss ceremony!" Selena handed a bouquet of roses to Sandra and asked all the girls to gather together.
Sandra turned her back towards us and we were waiting for her to toss the bouquet. "Please, throw it to Lia!" Jay shouted and everyone laughed at his excitement. Barbie and Fiona nudged my arms as I was standing between them.
"I don't have eyes in the back of my head." Sandra joked and all of us started laughing again.
She finally tossed the bouquet and fortunately or unfortunately, it fell into a girl's hand who was the assistant of the designer.
Barbie, Fiona, and I were looking at each other in confusion. We looked at the girl who was so excited to get married that she willingly came forward to catch the bouquet.
Though her face was saying something different. She shook her hand and threw the bouquet at Barbie who luckily caught it. "I...I just came...to fix your dress." She pointed to my dress, the lace of my dress came into my shoes so the stitches opened and I didn't even realize it.
"The photoshoot was on and all of you were talking and laughing so I didn't think that the bride would throw the bouquet that soon. I didn't even know that it's a bouquet-"
Barbie cut her off, "relax, girl! It's fine and it's just a tradition. By the way, congratulations!"
"Oh, yes! Congratulations!" Fiona and I hugged her so she wouldn't feel embarrassed.
Selena came and asked that girl to enjoy the party. I thanked her after she fixed my dress and she just disappeared from our eyes within seconds.
"Now the bride and groom should cut the cake and I'm waiting for the Champagne," John uttered and we turned to see him smiling.
"You dared to betray me?" My dad shouted from behind and I just prayed to God for our happiness. I could see a big storm coming towards us and we had to face it.
