Chapter 38

Liliana's pov :
Jay always seemed a guy with patience in all his body parts but the way he punched Justin, I felt intimidated. My eyes widened at his move and my jaw already dropped to the floor.
I didn't want to take the risk of saying anything because the nerves of his head and arms were visible and I could get how pissed off he was!
"Who the fucker you are! You think that just because you are a senior, I would be frightened of you then, let me tell you that I'm not afraid of you assholes!" Justin wailed while rubbing his eye on which Jay punched.
I always fought for myself, no one ever quarrelled for me so it was weird and sweet at the same time. I was feeling mad at myself because I should have beaten Justin before Jay helped me to get released from his grip and the way he protected me was so romantic and overwhelming.
"You know, I never explain anything to anyone. But since you claim to be her best friend, you should know that I'm her boyfriend, and if you are not afraid of us, then you should be because I don't have the habit of forgiving," Jay gushed in a smug tone and I liked it because if I would have been in his place, I would have reacted the same way.
Perhaps Fee was right, we had some similarities. And I didn't even realise when I simpered.
"Lia, why are you smiling? Are you enjoying this fight? Huh?" Fee whispered into my ear with a playful voice and gave me a dirty look.
"I got it, Fee. Why were you flushing when George brawled with that girl?" I suppressed my lips to stifle the smile that was appearing automatically on my face seeing my boy's possessive side.
Justin tried to look at me but Jay was standing in front of me like a rock, and I read annoyance on his face. I came forward and held Jay's arm, "are you hurt, Justin?" I inquired like an innocent girl but finished with a smirk so I was a bitch now.
"You can't manipulate my mom anymore so don't you dare to even think about it! My beau is not like me, he has got the looks of God, and personality of the gentleman, and the behaviour of the devil for crap like you," I winked at him and noticed Jay who was smiling widely. Perhaps he loved hearing his praise by me in front of everyone.
George went closer to Justin and ogled at him with half-closed eyes, his eyebrows scrunched. "If you have money, use it until you become a beggar but don't offend other people who are working hard, and especially when the people are mine." His voice had a threatening warning, he could kill him if he fucking dared to mock Fiona ever again.
I was wondering if Justin would have moved a little ahead, they would have been kissing and when I heard Fee's low giggles, I got that she was also thinking the same. I couldn't hold in my chuckle so we laughed out loud.
Theo and Alex looked at us with befuddled looks on their faces and we stopped snickering.
"Let me send this clip to the professor!" Alex sniggered after a while and showed his phone to us.
Theo exclaimed, "oh, God! You've recorded what this jerk enunciated," they high-fived with each other. Justin's jaw dropped for a second after watching that video but when he caught me staring at him with a smirk on my face, he frowned and shook his head.
"Delete this video right now!" He shouted at Alex, trying to snatch the phone from him but Theo caught him and pushed him backwards.
He forgot that he was messing up with the wrong people, these boys would never let anybody win against his friends.
"Dear Justin, you'll do your assignment by yourself!" Professor came and announced in a high-pitched voice and all of us turned to see his red face.
Justin tried to protest, "but sir, you…," the professor barged in, "no excuses! I've announced it and you have to follow it. I gave you the chance to collaborate with your seniors so that you could learn practically how to team up and work together because it's what you are gonna do in the future. Either you are an employee or an owner, you will have to work with others in the future so it was an important lesson for you to learn but you don't deserve it. So, I've decided that all of you can do this assignment however you want. If you want, you can do it alone or you can collaborate with your classmates or seniors, the only condition is that I want it to be done within a week. And if you find someone like Justin, let me know! I'll make sure that you do all the assignments for this year alone."
"We can also collaborate with our classmates, right? Like a group is also fine, right?" Alex asked the professor with enthusiasm.
"A group of two only," he announced and left the class.
Theo shrugged and scowled. "Let's go to our class, guys! We are sorted now. Let these love birds collaborate, and I'll go with this dumbass," he pointed to Alex.
Justin suddenly kicked Jay with all his strength and he fell to the floor, he had no idea that Justin would fight back with him, "she is mine," he bellowed out.
I couldn't believe what he just blurted out, and before I could react, Jay stood up and held the collar of his shirt and thumped him. Justin tried to fight back but Jay twisted his arm and walloped his mouth so badly that the blood rushed from his nose and mouth.
Justin didn't seem in pain, his complexion had rage and Jay wasn't going to stop until Justin would apologize.
"We are getting late for the class, Jay! Leave him, we have better things to do," George tried to loosen the grasp of Jay on Justin's neck. Jay was blocking his breathing by grasping his neck.
"Lia, you take care of Justin. He might go to the police station for creating trouble for Jay so please, handle it with patience and peacefully," Fee muttered and warned me.
Jay wasn't ready to release Justin so I went to him, "please, leave him! And go to your class, Jay." I pleaded but his ocean blue eyes were filled with outrage and weren't willing to listen to me. "I'm all yours." I knew the reason for his fury so I tried to assure him.
After a moment, he pushed Justin to the ground and held my face in his hands, "I know it," he let out in a smug tone.
"I was overjoyed to know that you had no friends except Fiona because the best friend of a girl always has a crush on her, that's what I've read and watched in novels and movies," he smirked and then kissed my forehead.
"I felt that I won't need to at least fight with your best friend and now, it looks like I have to but I'm not giving up, all the battles are worth it until you are with me," he added while embracing me and squeezed my waist so tight.
Without saying anything, I just hugged him back and closed my eyes.
"How could he fall for a tomboy? She doesn't even dress up like a girl," my eyes opened as someone's words dropped into my ears.
I tried to pull myself over but Jay didn't let me do, "we don't give a fuck about the world, right?" He muttered and his lips touched my ear which caused me thousands of shivers in my whole body.
"Thanks for reminding me!"
I still managed to answer him through my blushing face and a throbbing heart of mine.
"Now, everyone knows that this tomboy and you are dating each other so move your fucking ass out of our class, we don't wanna see the further show," Emma yelled at us while sitting on her desk which was the last in the class.
"You are that one whom Jay put back in her place at the cafeteria, right?" Alex smirked and I returned him a thankful smile.
His friends were so supportive and funny, I loved their bond. I always wished I could also have friends like them who could support me and would never judge me. Fortunately, they didn't make me feel alone, they always behaved like we were friends for years.
"Now, you should go!" I told Jay and he just withered. "Go! We should give proper attention to study, right?"
"Huh, right!" He half-heartedly nodded and kissed my forehead before leaving.
I forgot about Justin, where was he? I looked everywhere to find him but he was nowhere to be found. I didn't bother to know where he had gone.
Justin never missed any chance to take revenge so I expected him to be at my home.
