Chapter 90

Liliana's pov :
I complained to Jesus about my late birth, now I will be all alone again in the school. After spending a whole year with my friends, this year will give me a hard time. Hopefully, all of us passed the exams, and soon our school and college will start.
Nevertheless, the last week of vacation needed to be memorable so we could have a great and fresh start. Jay and I went on plenty of dates and enjoyed the whole vacation exploring the parks and beaches. Though I loved all the places that I never knew existed in our town before, he introduced me to those amazing places.
In the last two months, we hung out a lot, and thanks to my parents who went out of town for three weeks on a business trip. I would be lying if I said that I didn't take advantage of that time, we went to bars and got drunk four times.
Fee, Barbie, and I made the plans of girls' night out twice during that time. Though boys were there spying on us, Barbie found them chasing us from the mall to the movie theatre. It was adorable how Theo came out himself to confirm Barbie's doubt when she tried to flirt with the security guard at the movie theatre and all of us started laughing at how cute and jealous boyfriend he was looking!.
The one thing that was stuck in my mind was Alex's behavior. Each time he came to me to talk to me after getting drunk, that was hell weird. And the most bizarre thing was that Jay didn't try to ferret his friend from me. His friends weren't his friends only, now all of us were friends and I loved how boys always made me feel that they were the best friends I could ever ask for!
George and Fiona, Barbie, and Theo had a great time in Singapore. Jay and I had bad memories in that city, never to forget, Alex was ignored by everyone else. I asked the boys not to ignore him, but they said that he hated attention when he was hurt. He seemed miserable, and we hated Bella for doing that to our boy.
"Hello, princess!" His honeyed voice had already made me roll my eyes at him.
"Yes, Mr. Mean! What do you need?" Of course, my baby brother will come to me only if he needs something. Last time, he showed his filthy face to me on his birthday. And nonetheless, our mom wasn't talking to us. Probably she was thinking that her silence would make the situation better but it wasn't the fact.
"Huh? Am I that mean? Nobody loves me nowadays." He pouted and sat on my bed, folding his hands.
His behavior was most likely a girl, he wasn't a spoiled prince of the queen anymore. He was turning into a drama queen.
"Richard, please! Drop the act already! We both know very well that you are as mean as fuck." I shrugged and woke up from my bed, putting the novel aside that I abandoned reading a long time ago.
"But I love you and I know that you love me, too." He kissed my cheek and laid his head on my shoulder.
"Ewww…!" I rubbed my cheek to wipe his kiss off and nudged his abdomen.
"Oh, ouch!"
"You better take your fucking weight off my shoulder."
"Okay, okay!" He raised his hands in the air and sat away at a safe distance.
Only God knew what he wanted this time, I could only wish that he didn't have any quarrel with the Queen. "Learn to be polite and respect people's privacy! If you ever come into my room next time without knocking, I'm telling you, I'll kick your ass out of my room." I warned him, pointing my finger at him.
"Fine!" He grunted and crunched his face. "I need your help, Lily. I'm missing mom so much, we haven't talked since that day and you know I'm mama's boy, right? Do something, please! I'm begging you," he even slept on the floor in an amusing position, trying to touch my feet.
I took a step back with a leap, having a younger sibling could be too much sometimes. And that too, like Richard!
"Gee, sorry! I can't do this. She loves you more so you should try to tackle how to persuade her."
Richard raised his head from the floor, shooting a disappointing glare my way. "You are my kind girl who always helps me no matter how! I'm begging you, Lily."
"Can you stop calling me Lily? You're fucking annoying, Richard."
"Wow! Woah! Ben can call you Lily but I can't. Ben visits you on your birthday but on my birthday, he is too busy to call me. I'm so envious of you, everybody loves you only." He uttered while standing up from the surface.
"Why are you being so sentimental? Did your boyfriend dump you?"
Exhaling a deep breath, he again squatted on my bed. "I always envied you because Ben took care of you more than me. That's why I always took revenge by irking you and my silly pranks."
"If you would have told me this earlier, I would have been mad at you but now, all I wanna do is laugh at your nuts brain." I started giggling and he joined me in. "You're like a baby who seeks attention, nothing else!"
"Okay! I admit it. Now, will you please do something about mom?"
"Let's play a prank! Lie down on my bed, chop-chop!"
"What's the plan? Will you bother to tell me?"
"Either do as I say or ask irritating questions, the choice is yours." I crossed my arms and wiggled my eyebrows, giving him an innocent puppy eyes look.
He grimaced in bitterness and without uttering a word, laid down on my bed. A playful smirk twitched my lips and I moved to my mom's room.
Seeing my mom sitting on the couch and reading a magazine with closed eyes wasn't surprising to me at all. She missed her favorite son, too and that was very clear from her position of sleeping. Her attention wasn't on the magazine, perhaps she was thinking about something.
"Ahem!" I knocked on the door softly.
She adjusted herself on the couch in a better posture. "Come in!"
"Richard-"
"I know that, I don't want to play further. We both know the truth and I'm trying to accept it. Last week, I bought a random novel at the New York airport, and surprisingly it was about LGBTQ. After reading that novel, I realized the difficulties of his life. I don't want to be a difficulty in his life, I've decided that I'll support him."
Though she didn't meet my gaze, I could feel the faith and love in her voice. "Alright! That's good news for Richard, will you at least tell him this? He won't believe me if I tell him myself. Plus, he is missing you so much."
Secretly, I thanked God for saving me from being a director of a melodramatic scene. My brain had planned something very dramatic, I didn't come here to talk. My feet sauntered to her room because I had to execute the plan to reunite this mom son's duo.
I would have told my mom that Richard swooned and she would have run to him. I would have told her the reason that he needed to be accepted and supported by his lovely mom. As loving, she was to him, she would have agreed in the seconds.
What a perfect over-dramatic plan!
Thankfully, I didn't need that plan so I shooed it away from my mind.
"Okay, I'll tell him. By the way, how is everything going between Jay and you? I'm super excited to see you guys marrying and I'd love to be a grandparent yet." She smiled sheepishly. "Though I'm too young to wish for this. But I love the kids and I'd love to play with your cute babies."
"Hold on, mom! Just hold on! We're too young to get married now. Anyways, I'll become a doctor first so I'm going to sleep now otherwise, tomorrow I'll have dark circles under my pretty eyes and I need to take care of my beauty."
"Oh, yes! For a girl, beauty is everything. Go, and sleep tight! Wait, I'll give you a good brand's mask so your skin will be softer and glowing."
She moved to her dressing table and I tiptoed to the door. I never gave a fuck about beauty, it was just a trap to divert the topic of marriage. I took a deep breath after escaping from her.
I started hiking to my room, a victorious smile adorning my face. My phone started ringing so I stopped and took my phone out of my pocket. The name on the display amazed me, shock was an understatement for that situation.
"Hey, Alex! All cool?"
"Lia, I want to talk to you. Can we meet right now?" He was in a hurry, he sounded serious and sober. Well, that was a relief.
"Like right now? Can't you wait till the morning? I mean um it's 11 pm and meeting now doesn't seem like a good idea."
"I need your help, it's urgent. I can come to your place if you don't mind."
"Sure! That would be great!"
"See you soon, then!"
"Yeah, bye!"
There wasn't a huge difference between Richard and Alex, they both were similar in so many aspects. Childish, drama queens, immature, and impulsive boys! I forgot to mention the pranks, Alex loved playing pranks on B3. Those girls never missed a single chance to flirt with the boys even though the whole school knew that except Alex, all were committed.
I didn't have a good vibe while talking to him on the phone, he sounded desperate and helpless. And I was doing good karma, helping both of my childish boys. Perhaps I was God's favorite girl so I was chosen to help those idiots.
Chuckling at my own silly thoughts, I descended the stairs and found Alex at my doorstep. Jay, Theo, Barbie, George, and Fee appeared one by one from behind Alex.
"I'm sorry but I thought that we needed a night out, George planned this and Jay wanted this so here we are!" Alex shrugged, throwing his hands in the air. "I love drama."
"You sounded so serious on the call, fucking drama queen!" I slapped his arm and gave him a side hug.
Fee and Barbie stepped forward to share our group hug, it became a kind of ritual. We loved our group hug and hanging out together.
"Alex needs to meet someone who can bring life into this dead body," Fee murmured in my ears.
Barbie chimed in, "I have a good friend who can make a perfect pair with him so everything is planned to set them up."
"Oh! And you plotted this keeping me out of your gossip. I'm so upset with you," I pouted and Fee started giggling.
"Girls, you can gossip on the way. We are getting late, let's go!" Theo announced being a good disciplined teacher that he could be sometimes.
"But guys, I need to take permission from my mom. I'll be right back please, make yourself comfortable here." I was about to move but Jay clenched my wrist.
He smirked and kissed my hand. "I've already taken permission, it seems like I'm your mom's favorite person. She didn't refuse for once, I didn't have to work hard."
How could she deny him when she was a huge fan of Jason Casano?!
