Why are you Kidnapping?

"Bumping into me at the grocery store isn't enough, huhn? So you decided to trail me home, right?" Sophia questioned with her hands folded beneath her breasts. "I can't waste my time trailing you. I'm here to see Katherine except she gave me a wrong address," Jake said. "Well, this is where I live with my best friend Katherine. We are expecting her friend, Jake and not some shopping bumps," Sophia said wanting to close the door. "My name is Jake," Jake said but Sophia already slammed the door.

"Who is it?" Katherine asked stepping into the living room. "It's the guy who bumps into me at the store," Sophia said, "Jake isn't here already," she said feeling pissed off. "Calm down. He might be stuck in a traffic," Katherine said bringing out her phone, "I will just call him," she was about to dial Jake's number when Jake's call came through. "Good evening," Jake greeted. "Evening. How are you?" Katherine responded. "Good. I'm outside already," Jake said. "Okay. We will join you soon," the call ended. Katherine and Sophia went out. "Hey Jake," Katherine smiled at the guy from the store.

"Congratulations Kat," Jake was smiling but his countenance changed when he sighted Sophia. Katherine noticed the change in his expression. She followed Jake's glare and found it contesting with Sophia's glare. "Have you guys met before?" Katherine asked. "He is the shopping bump," Sophia said still glaring hard at Jake. Katherine laughed at the duo. "Sophia, calm down. Jake is actually a sweet guy. Jake, you too listen, Sophia is an angel in human form," Katherine said in a bid to introduce the two of them in the most sweet way she can think of. The duo sneered at each other. "Okay, fine. If you decide to be at each other's throats, you can but for now, let it stop 'cause of my celebration," Katherine said giving up on uniting the two. She had tried all the possible way she knew of.

Jake drove the ladies to a restaurant where they had late dinner. They ended up spending almost an hour persuading Sophia to go with them. The dinner was almost to an end when Jake's phone rang. "It's late already," Mr Olsen said immediately Jake answered the call. "One of the ladies was a pain in the ass but I'll soon be home," Jake replied not even trying to hide the qualification he gave Sophia. Katherine chortled while Sophia glared. "Females are always that. They are pain in the body," Mr Olsen said with obvious disdain for females. " Yeah. Talk to you later," Jake said. "Call me when you get home," the call ended.

"Look at our sweet Jake," Sophia scoffed. "I know angel in human forms to be dear but you are the complete opposite," Jake responded. Katherine watched them with an amused look. It's been long she watched Sophia exchange words with someone who is just like her. "I shouldn't be having this conversation and you shouldn't be too. Your priority should be going to the School of Walk so that you can learn tips on how to stop bumping into people," Sophia said. "I have never heard of such school but since you are aware of it, you must be an ex-student then. How about I enroll through you?" Jake said. "Even if the school exists, I can't be a guardian to you," Sophia replied. Till the end of the dinner, Jake and Sophia were at each other's throats.

Sophia rolled on the bed. Sophia and Katherine yawned almost at the same time. "Good morning sweetheart," Katherine and Sophia said together. "How was your night?" Katherine questioned. "It was perfect with you by my side," Sophia replied getting up from bed. Katherine's smiling face changed to a sad expression after Sophia's reply. Sophia's reply brought back memories of Ren which she was trying hard to bury. It was like opening an almost cured wound and adding salt to it.

Talking of Ren, he is in his house preparing his breakfast. He ate his breakfast and sat in the sitting room. He took his IPad, connected his IPod and plugged it to his ear. He played music while surfing the Internet. Coincidentally, when he saw Katherine's picture, the song which was playing faraway on the day he asked her out began to play from his IPod. The song was 'Because of You' by Tatiana Manaois. Remembering how happy he and Katherine were that day, be became sober.

He thought of calling her but he knew she would end up the call as soon as she knows he is the one speaking. He has tried all means possible but the more he tried to get closer, the farther she moves away. He decided to drown in his sobriety.

Katherine and Sophia spent most of the day preparing for the next day work. Sophia insisted that they were something similar but Katherine kicked against it. "I'm not asking you to wear the same colour as mine; I just want a look alike dress which is different in colour," Sophia said articulating with her hands. "I'm not in support. We should dress differently," Katherine said. "It's fine. I know you love seeing me in tears. My tears brings certain feeling of fulfilment," Sophia said getting all emotion as she sat on the bed. "Okay. I support. We will wear the same type of attire," Katherine finally gave in. "Really?" Sophia's face lit up. "Yes Sophy," Katherine smiled. Sophia ran up to hug Katherine. "You are the best," Sophia kissed her cheeks.

Jake, in his house, woke up later than usual. He had stressed himself so much last night. Sophia had been a great pain in his ass. He stood from bed. After showering, he felt better. He put on a round neck polo shirt and a jeans trousers.

He went to the kitchen, wore the apron and prepared tea. When the tea was done, he put enough slices of bread in a plate and took the jam with him from the fridge to the dining room. After breakfast, Jake started working on his laptop. He can be very playful and look ever unserious but he is a successful businessman. His two best friends - Jessie and Dee - always wonder how he managed himself.

Later in the day, Jake received a call from Mr Olsen's parents. They pleaded him to come with their son, Dylan by all means. "We will come," Jake gave his words to them. He began to think on how to make Dee follow him then an idea hit him. He smiled as he took his phone to call Mr Olsen.

"Where are you driving me to?" Mr Olsen who was blindfolded asked. "It's a surprise," Jake replied. "I just pray this surprise of yours won't earn you my punches," Mr Olsen said. "Haaaa!" Jake exclaimed, "It's a friendly surprise," he said. "Hmmmm.... Or is it what I'm thinking?" Mr Olsen quoth. "What are you thinking?" Jake questioned stopping as the traffic light turned red. "Are we there already?" Mr Olsen asked when he felt the car stopped moving. "Traffic," Jake replied simply, "What are you thinking?" he asked. "You are kidnapping me," Mr Olsen said.

Jake burst into laughter. The laughter was so sonorous that he held his stomach. "I knew it. Why are you kidnapping me?" Mr Olsen asked. "I am not, okay?" Jake said amidst laughter. "You know, you have kidnapped Jessie before," Mr Olsen said. "It was to scare her. Mhen! She was terrified," Jake said still laughing. Mr Olsen just nodded. "It's funny that you think I'm kidnapping you and you didn't even make an attempt to remove the blindfold," Jake said with sneer. "Stupid, I trust you," Mr Olsen said. By then, the car has started moving again.

Jake had gone to Mr Olsen's house after Old Mr and Mrs Olsen's call. He knew Mr Olsen won't agree to follow him willingly so he came up with the idea of blindfolding him right from when he entered the car.

Finally, they got to Olsen's Family Mansion. "Why is the humidity here familiar?" Mr Olsen who was still blindfolded asked. "This place is familiar," Jake responded. "Where are we?" Mr Olsen asked now trying to remove the blindfold. "Dude, c'mon. I'll remove it soon. Just few steps and we will be there," Jake said stopping Mr Olsen. "Ok. Fine," Mr Olsen stopped.

On their way to the sitting room, the maids they met wanted to greet them but Jake quietened them by placing his index finger on his lips. The maids just bowed in respect. "The structure of this house is very familiar. Where are we, Jake?" Mr Olsen asked. "Few more steps and boom, you will know," Jake said. "Ok. It's been awhile we played sneaky games though," Mr Olsen said. "I've vowed never to play sneaky games with you again. The last time I felt my life out of me," Jake said. Mr Olsen laughed, "You were a coward," he said. "I'm not a coward," Jake defended himself instantly. "I said 'were' so it is all past," Mr Olsen said. Jake smiled, "Of course, it is all in the past," he said proudly. "A wise man once said: Once a coward, always a coward," Mr Olsen grinned mischievously. Jake punched his side.

When they got to the sitting room, Old Mr and Mrs Olsen were seated. Jake unfolded the blindfold from Mr Olsen's eyes. Opening his eyes to see his parents, Mr Olsen's countenance which was lively and friendly from his conversation with Jake turned cold and angry. He stared at Jake who grinned and put up his hand in surrender.
