Can I ask for a favor?

Sophia woke up very early the next morning. She prepared a light breakfast and packed it in a food flask. "We can't go now. The hospital has visiting time," Katherine said. "We will go and wait till the visiting time then we will enter," Sophia responded. "Alright. People in love are known to be irrational already," Katherine said wearing her footwear.

They soon got to the hospital. Sophia dialed Jake's number to tell him they have arrived at the hospital. They were allowed in even before the visiting time. As soon as they got in, Sophia lurched at Jake. Jake quickly raised his hand up to cover his face because he knew Sophia can be violent sometimes. Especially a time like this.

Sophia, instead of getting angry at Jake as she had envisioned, became emotional when she got closer to Jake. "Why didn't you tell? Why try to cover up your accident? Did you even think of how bad I would have felt if it was more serious than this? Did you?" Sophia questioned checking Jake out. "I'm sorry," Jake mumbled. "You are sorry. You are sorry. Look at you now," Sophia held Jake's hand and rubbed it gently, "Do you feel any pain anywhere?" she asked.

Jake looked at Sophia lovingly. "I'm happy that I met you," he said and gave her a quick kiss on the lips. "I prepared breakfast for you. Have you eaten? Even if you have, you will eat this also," Sophia said turning to get the food flask. "Please pass me the flask, Kat," Sophia said. "Hi Kat," Jake smiled at her. "You've finally realised Sophia didn't come alone," Katherine said sarcastically handling the flask over to Sophia. "I'm sorry. You know how babyish Sophia can be," Jake said glancing at Sophia. "Yeah," Katherine nodded.

Jake sat up to eat. He was halfway through with the breakfast when Mr Olsen came in with the breakfast he went to get for him. "Why did you make me get you a meal when you knew your whatever she is will bring for you," Mr Olsen said with a frown. "I'm his girlfriend, Mr Man," Sophia said. When she looked up to see who she was talking to, she almost weed in her pants. It was her boss! "Good morning sir," Sophia bowed. "Do I know you?" Mr Olsen was surprised at her change of tone.

"She works at your company," Jake said. "Oh? She is Katherine's friend?" Mr Olsen said more of a question than a statement. "Yes," Jake responded. "Talking about Katherine, where is she?" Mr Olsen questioned. "Who is asking of me?" Katherine responded as she got in when Mr Olsen mentioned her. She had left the ward to get the drink Jake wanted. Mr Olsen turned to face Katherine. "Oh? Here you are not looking bad," Mr Olsen said. Jake was perplexed that Mr Olsen complimented a female. "Is my boss trying to hit on me outside work?" Katherine laughed as she walked in to hand the drink over to Sophia.

"You are not my type of female so end the thought of me hitting on you," Mr Olsen said. "I will take that as a compliment I got from my gay boss," Katherine smiled. "I'm not a gay. Jake, do you see what you caused by befriending some random females?" Mr Olsen said and stormed out of the ward. "Bantering with your boss outside work is fun. Have more minor accidents Jake so days like this can come to be," Katherine said with mischiefs. "Sophia will kill both of us," Jake said and signalled to Katherine to look at the burning Sophia. "Ohh! Bye. Sorry. Take care of your darling Jake. I will be around in the hospital," Katherine said and left the ward.

"How dare she call me a gay? I'm not a gay. I don't just like females. They bring nothing but troubles and misfortune. She is one of them also," Mr Olsen grumpled as he walk out of the hospital to his car. He was feeling pissed off. When he got to his car, he began to question himself for feeling offended by what a nonetity like Katherine said to him. He got into his car and sat without igniting the engine. He was so busy with his phone that he didn't realise Katherine was at his car's window until she knocked on the window.

Jessie got ready to go visit Jake at the hospital. She was ready to go when Alvin stopped her. "Let's go together. You know, it's been a while I last saw Dylan. I've missed him even though he is the cold fella," Alvin said. "Okay. Just be fast. I don't want to miss Katherine and Sophia. I've missed them just like you miss Dee," Jessie responded. "Alright. Few minutes babe," Alvin went in to have a change of clothes.

"Wow! See who is here. Alvin! How are you doing? Been a while," Jake and Alvin exchanged pleasantries. The females did too. "Where is Katherine? I thought you both will be here," Jessie said. "Yeah. We are together. She stepped out a while ago," Sophia replied. "Alright. Meet my fiancé, Alvin. Alvin, meet Sophia.....," Jessie was introducing but Jake interrupted. "My girlfriend," Jake said. "Finally, I can believe you are not dating Dee," Alvin said. When Alvin mentioned not dating Dee, Sophia looked at Jake. "We used to mistake them for gays when neither of them will get a girlfriend," Jessie said. Jake looked barefaced. "Don't worry, such misunderstanding won't occur again now that I have you," Jake said and wrapped his hand around Sophia's waist.

"Where is Dee?" It was Alvin asking. "He left already," Jake replied. "He left? He promised to stay till I get here. Moreover, we have an unfinished business," Jessie frowned. "A certain Katherine we all but Alvin know called him a gay," Jake said. "He might be though. He just might not want to accept who he is," Alvin said. "Let's quit talking about Dee and talk about Mr Jake," Jessie talked. "What is there to discuss about me?" Jake enquired. "This," Jessie brought out a file from her bag. Instead of handling it to Jake, she gave it to Sophia. "That is Jake," Jessie said.

Sophia was going through the files while the others discussed. "Did you get contracted at JQ Construction?" Alvin asked. "No and I'm glad," Jale replied. "You are glad?" Alvin was surprised. "Yes. My counterpart said they didn't pay for the execution of the contract well. They gave him money just enough to purchase substandard materials. He had to use his own money to acquire more standard material," Jake said. "Oh? That is good then," Alvin said. "Jake," Sophia called. When Jake looked up at Sophia, there was tears in her eyes. "What the hell is contained in the file, Jessie?" Jake enquired as he grabbed the file from Sophia. Before he could open it to look through it, Sophia engulfed him in an embrace. "I love you," Sophia said still hugging him. Though confused and surprised, Jake hugged her back and looked questioning at Jessie. Even Alvin was confused.

Mr Olsen wound down the window. "Yes?" he said coldly. "Could you please do me a favor?" Katherine put on her innocent puppy look. "What favor?" Mr Olsen questioned. "On our way here, I sighted a Candy Store around the corner. Please drive me down there," Katherine requested. "Okay. Hop in," Mr Olsen said. Katherine was flabbergasted Mr Olsen accepted without much cogency. "Are you hopping in or not?" Mr Olsen questioned.
