Final Chapter: It's Payback Time

Katherine turned to Sophia who has been quiet since. "Sophy, what is wrong with you?' Katherine asked. " Nothing," Sophia responded. "This face of yours doesn't say nothing. C'mon, what is wrong?" Katherine persuaded. "Nothing," Sophia insisted and went to the bedroom when Katherine won't stop trying to ask her what was wrong. Katherine shrugged off thinking she is experiencing mood swing or she is at it with Jake again. "Those two will never stop being tom and Jerry," Katherine smiled and continued what she was doing.

Jake came around to Sophia's place later in the day. He was surprised to see Katherine at home. "How are you? I thought you relocated already," Jake said. Katherine laughed. "I was just having so much fun that I almost forgot home," she said. "Okay. Welcome back home, Mrs Ol..... Oh Katherine," Jake replied with a smile. Katherine laughed, "I doubt if you will ever change," she retorted. "Where is my sweetheart?" Jake asked. "She has been inside since. She didn't even talk to me. I wonder if you guys are at your tom and jerry quarrels again," Katherine said. "No we are not. It might be mood swing. I'll go talk to her," Jake went to the room.

When Jake got to the room, he met Sophia crying. He sat beside her and took her hand in his palm. He squeezed it gently in an assuring manner. "What is wrong?" Jake questioned in a low voice, almost like a whisper. "Promise me you'll still love me. Promise me you won't leave me," Sophia said with more tears streaming down her cheeks. "I promise. My love for you is till infinity," Jake assured wiping her tears. "I don't know how it happened. I tried so much not to make it happen but it just got out of my control. We are still enjoying our courtship and I shouldn't ruin it with this but it just got out of my control. I'm really sorry," Sophia sobbed. "My love, what is it? Talk to me," Jake persuaded. "I'm..... I'm pregnant," Sophia said and buried her face in Jake's chest. She held him tightly as if letting go will mean him running away.

Jake smiled and patted her back. "Finally," he said. Sophia let go of him and looked at him confused. Jake smiled broadly and kissed her. "Thank you," Jake said and hugged her tightly again. Sophia was too surprised to know how to react. "What finally?" she asked when she found her voice again. "Your pregnancy was premeditated by me. That's why your morning pills are mostly missing," Jake smiled proudly as if he had won a lottery of some sort. Sophia hit him with all her strength. "You should have told me. I was just worried for no reason," she frowned. "I should have told you? You will never have agreed. I know you and how strong-headed you are," Jake said smiling. "Don't smile at me, wicked boy," Sophia frowned. "How come you look so cute when you frown?" Jake teased her. Sophia frowned more and muttered, "Wicked boy" "You calling me wicked boy sound like the most sweet and heartwarming endearing name you've ever called me," Jake smiled. Sophia was just frowning the more Jake teased her.

Katherine wore a knee-length gown which was turtleneck and has a long sleeve. She wore a silver three-inch heels to match her gown. "How do I look?" she swirled in front of Mr Olsen who was buttoning his shirt. "It seems everything you put on was made specifically for you. You look stunning," Mr Olsen complimented. Katherine smiled. She was sitting waiting for Mr Olsen to finish dressing up when her phone rang. She rolled her eyes when she saw the caller. "We are coming. You don't expect us to fly, right?" she said as soon as she picked the call. "It's taking too long as if you've decided not to come again," Gina said. "We are coming. Even if your brother had decided not to come, I would have dragged him down there with his trousers," Katherine said. Gina laughed. "Finally, there is someone who is capable of bullying him," she said happily. "I heard you Gina," Mr Olsen said as the phone was on loud speaker. "Sis Kat, I love you. Bye," Gina said and ended the call. "Let's go," Mr Olsen said when he was done. "You need to stop bullying Gina," Katherine said on their way to the car. "I didn't bully her," Mr Olsen said.

They soon got to the Olsens Mansion. Gina was waiting outside the main house when they alighted from the car. "Sister Kat," Gina hugged Katherine warmly. "How are you? You look so big now," Katherine replied. "Won't you greet me too?" Mr Olsen questioned. "Hello Mr Olsen," Gina bowed to her brother. Katherine smiled and poked Gina's waist. She laughed. "Go in. I want to tell her something," Mr Olsen said to Gina. "You can tell her while I'm here. I'll cover my ears," Gina used her palm to block her ears. "Tell your daughter to leave now before you guys accuse me of bullying again," Mr Olsen said to Katherine. Katherine motioned to Gina to leave. "I'm leaving because she asked me to," Gina said as she went inside.

"Is Mr Olsen nervous?" Katherine questioned looking down at her hand which Mr Olsen held firmly. "No. Why will I? I just want to tell you I love you so much," Mr Olsen said. Katherine laughed. "It's normal that you are nervous, big boy. That is why I am here so be rest assured," she said. "Okay. Let's go in before Gina comes out to drag us herself," Mr Olsen said.

"Good afternoon mom. Good afternoon dad," Mr Olsen hugged both of his parents. Old Mrs Olsen was overwhelmed as she held her son in her embrace again after eleven years. "Son," he voice was cracked with tears. "Mom, I'm sorry. I'm sorry, dad," Mr Olsen said as his mother hugged him tightly with tears of joy. "Dylan my son, I can't believe I got to call you my son with you smiling at me again," Old Mr Olsen said. Even he couldn't stop his tears from flowing. "I promise to be the son I couldn't be all these years," Mr Olsen assured. Katherine and Gina had a smile on their face. "Thank you," Gina said to Katherine.

Old Mrs Olsen left her son for a while and hugged Katherine. Katherine hugged her back. "Thank you for giving my son's life a meaning. I wonder how much I'd be longing for a day like this if you hadn't come to his life. Thank you so much," Old Mrs Olsen said. "Mom, all I ever want is to see you happy always," Katherine said. Old Mrs Olsen let go of her and held her hands with a smile on her face.

After lunch, Katherine whispered to Gina that she wanted to sleep. "Tell him," Gina said. Katherine rolled her eyes and turned to Mr Olsen. "What are you girls up to?" Mr Olsen questioned. "I'm feeling sleepy," Katherine mumbled. "Come on," Mr Olsen held her up. He led her to his room in the mansion. Katherine pulled off her shoe and bumped into the bed. "Don't wake me up, okay?" Katherine mumbled. She was expecting him to respond but when he didn't she sat up in bed to see him staring at her with tears in his eyes. "Dylan, what is the matter? Why are you crying?" Katherine wiped his tears. "Thank you for coming to my life. I would have never realised life is this beautiful if it weren't for you. Words cannot convey my emotions. Thank you Katherine. I love you now and till forever," Mr Olsen hugged Katherine.

Mr Olsen proposing to Katherine at the company's anniversary became the talk of the town. The public began to anticipate their wedding.

Jessie, Gina, Sophia and Katherine were discussing Katherine's wedding dress when the guys came in. "How are you feeling?" Jake hugged Sophia gently, "And my son?" he whispered. "I'm craving pineapple," Sophia replied. "You should have ordered it if you can't find any in the house," Jake responded. "I want you to get it. No, not me but your son wants you to get it," Sophia made an innocent face. "God! Is this what men whose wives are pregnant go through?" Jake thought aloud. The others faced the two of them – Sophia and
Jake. "What?" Jake asked when the others won't stop staring at him. "Is sis Sophia pregnant?" Gina asked, "If yes, then I can't wait to bully two kids at the same time," she grinned mischievously. "Two kids? Sophia isn't pregnant with twins," Jake said. Gina laughed, "The second kid is sister Kat's child," she said. "How did you know?" Mr Olsen questioned Gina.

Gina smiled slyly. "I accidentally walked on you both discussing her pregnancy," she said. "It's funny that two best friends didn't tell the other about their fiancée's pregnancy," Jessie laughed. "I was going to announce it today," Jake and Mr Olsen said at the same time. "Wow! See as they chorused their response. Best friend spirit!," Jessie jested. "The females are best friends too and neither is aware of the other's pregnancy," Gina said and faced the ladies with squinted eyes as if looking at them that way will provide a response to her statement. "He made me keep it a secret so as not to ruin his surprise," Katherine said. Sophia just nodded. "Thank you big bros for giving me two kids I look for to bullying. It's close to payback time," Gina said excitedly while the males especially Jake tried to talk her out of bullying his child.
