How Can You Be Kicked Out Of Your House?
Jake got back home using the Japan's next flight. He got to his house around some minutes past eight. He knocked on the door as he was unable to open the door from outside. He felt relieved that Sophia was still around. "Who is there?" Sophia asked even though she ready knew it was Jake. "Baby, I'm sorry," Jake apologised. "How come you are back from Japan so fast? Common go back and spend the weekend there," Sophia said. "Sophy, please. I'm sorry. I won't make such a mistake again," Jake said. "Good night Jake. Have a wonderful night in Japan. I love you," Sophia said. Jake smiled knowing that Sophia will only be angry with him for sometime. "I love you too but open the door please," Jake said. "Go back and sleep in Japan," Sophia said. After her last conversation, no matter what Jake said, she didn't respond to him. Finally, Jake gave up trying and went to Mr Olsen's house.
"Dylan," Old Mrs Olsen was surprised to see her son. "It's Mr Olsen. Don't ever forget that," Mr Olsen said and dragged Katherine out of the chair. "At least, let her finish her meal," Old Mrs Olsen said after the retreating Mr Olsen. "Let him be. I hope Katherine will talk to him. Who knows he might change," Old Mr Olsen said. Gina just continue eating her meal. She knew she was in trouble for bringing Katherine to their parents. "Don't worry, I'm sure Katherine won't make him punish you," Old Mr Olsen assured. Although his son is distant from him, he still knows some basic things about him. His decision when dealing with business isn't easily influenced but his love life decision is easy to influence especially if he loves the lady so much.
"Gina brought you to those old people, right?" Mr Olsen asked. "The old people are your parents. You should show them regards," Katherine said. "Just answer the damn question. How I treat the so-called parents is none of your business," Mr Olsen spat. "I pleaded to her that she brings me here. Leave Gina out of these," Katherine said. "I know you are just trying to protect her," Mr Olsen said. Katherine made no response. They continued driving in silence.
"I'm sorry for being a little harsh. I apologise for acting irrationally," Mr Olsen apologised after a while. Katherine just nodded. She didn't need his apology so she couldn't think of a better way to respond rather than nodding. "I believe the past should be the past. We should stop digging into what has been buried that is why I don't enjoy talking about what happened eleven years ago," Mr Olsen said. "Thank you for the ride, sir," Katherine smiled as she alighted from the car. Mr Olsen had gotten to the front of her apartment. "No response to what I just said?" Mr Olsen asked. "I believe it was just my boss ranting about his life to me because he has no one to be with," Katherine responded. Mr Olsen didn't say anything. He just watched as Katherine go into her apartment.
Mr Olsen sat in the car wondering why he was so in love with Katherine for him to be apologising unnecessarily. He came to the conclusion that Katherine was different. She is always surprising. "Hmmm, I will make you love me back by all means. I know after Ren's betrayal it will be difficult for you to love again but I will never stop trying," Mr Olsen vowed.
Katherine got in. She freshened up and laid on the bed. She looked up into the ceiling think about what happened at the Olsens' mansion. She sighed and closed her eyes. "That is his life. It's none of my business," she kept telling herself. She suddenly remembered Mr Olsen's old picture Gina gave her. She stood from bed and rummage her bag. She found it with the hairpin she took from his room. "Hmmm. Beautiful hairpin shouldn't go unused," she placed the hairpin on the dressing table so that she will remember to use it. Looking at the picture, her guess about Mr Olsen being a handsome guy was correct. She was just staring at the smiling face of Mr Olsen that she lost track of time until her phone rang. She checked the caller and saw that it was Gina.
"Hi. Did you get home safely?" Gina asked. "Sure. Don't worry, I took care of you. He won't punish you for bringing me there," Katherine said. "Thank God. Another reason to love you more," Gina was excited. Katherine laughed. "You've only escaped this one. I can't always be there to shield you from his punishments," Katherine said. "Yes and that's a more reason I want you as my sister-in-law. You will be able to curb big bro's excessive punishment," Gina said. "Alright dear. Continue to dream about me becoming your sister-in-law," Katherine said. "I will continue to dream because I know someday, my dream will come true," Gina was confident. "I see that you've watched too much 'happily ever after' movies. Sweetheart, this is life," Katherine said. "Don't worry. Your story will make my 'happily ever after' movies increase by one," Gina said. "Alright. Alright. I don't want to spend the night arguing with you," Katherine said. Gina laughed. "Okay. Good night. I love you," Gina bade. "Good night. I love you more," Katherine responded.
Mr Olsen prepared dinner when he got home. He was enjoying his alone time when Jake texted him telling him to open the door. He was surprised to see Jake's text as the dude ought to be in Japan. Nonetheless, he opened the door automatically. "Hi. How are you? How come you are back from Japan? Didn't the deal go well?" Mr Olsen asked. "I'm done with the deal. The last piece of document will be sent to us," Jake said. "Ok. Did you come here to tell me this?" Mr Olsen wondered, "You could have just called or texted me. " I know I could but I was sent out of my house," Jake said. Mr Olsen laughed.
"Are you kidding me? How can you be kicked out your house? It's not as though you are paying any rent for you to be sent off by your landlord," Mr Olsen said. "Sophia didn't allow me in," Jake said. "Why? I'm pretty sure you made her angry. You will never cease offending her," Mr Olsen said. Jake glared at him. "Why the glare? It's not as though I made you offend her," Mr Olsen said and continued his meal. "You did. I told you we should both go to Japan to finish the deal on Monday but you were like: Oh Monday is too far. We can just go and finish off the deal and come back that same day," Jake complained. "Agreed that I said so but I can't remember forcing you to go. I only suggested it and you said you will go," Mr Olsen said. "Whatever! How do I make her forgive me now?" Jake wondered. "Why get so worked up about it? You know your ways with females," Mr Olsen said. "Yes, I do but Sophia is different. She can wish to stay angry for a week for no reason. No matter what I do, she won't respond to it until after the week she decided to be angry," Jake said. "That's what attention seekers do," Mr Olsen said. "I'm to be blamed though. We had plans for the weekend," Jake said. "When you knew that, why did you go to Japan? I might as well say her attitude serves you right," Mr Olsen said.
