Some Guy Is Here

Two weeks later

Katherine left home for work very early. She wanted to go and see Mr Olsen's bedroom in the office. She has always been curious as to how the bedroom looked like. She has strategised her plan so well that she believed it will be executed without any flaw. "Are you sure about this? What if the room has a secret camera?" Sophia said. "Don't worry. I will deal with that later but first, I have to see what is in that room," Katherine said. "Why are so curious to know about the room?" Sophia asked. "That is where he calls his office now," Katherine replied. "Did he say that himself?" Sophia questioned. "No but isn't it obvious? He stays there for almost a day everytime he comes to work," Katherine responded. "Let him be. He might be going through some phase that requires him to be alone most times," Sophia said. "Don't worry, I will find that out too," Katherine said. "I wish you well. Don't worry, if this puts you in trouble and your job on the line, I can always talk to Jake," Sophia said. 'Bother not for Mr Olsen can't sack me," Katherine said confidently.

The company was silent when Katherine got there. She sneaked in and avoided the security as she had planned. She used the exclusive elevator and in a minute, she was on her office floor. She used her fingerprint to open the office door. She locked the door as soon as she was in. "Stage one accomplished," she smiled. She walked slowly to the bedroom door. She tried opening it but it was locked. "How come?" Katherine wondered. She removed her earring and used the pointed edge to unlock the door as she has always done when she was young. She smiled realising that her knowledge of certain skills wasn't wasted. As soon as she was able to open the door, she had a smug smile on her face as she opened the door wider. She was marvelling at the setting of the bedroom when a door opened behind her.

She turned with a defense stance. Her defense stance cracked when she saw the person who opened the door. He looks so perfect. His skin was flawless. He has the most beautiful and well defined structure Katherine has ever seen. "Can I make a wish fairy god?" Katherine asked. The guy snapped his figure jerking Katherine. "Who are you?" the guy asked. "I should ask you," Katherine pounced on the guy but he was swift and accurate that she missed hitting him and landed on the floor. "I am Dylan's boyfriend. Get out of here now or else I will report you for privacy invasion," the guy said. "Dylan's boyfriend? That's a lie. He loves only me. He isn't a gay or a bisexual," Katherine tried to attack again but the guy was fast to defend himself. He held the telephone in the room up. "Should I call him?" he asked. Katherine glared at the guy not minding his beauty before leaving the room.

"So he is a liar. He has someone else he is in love with. No wonder, he doesn't want me around him anymore. He realised his queerness. He is a cheat," Katherine mumbled as she walked back to the main office, "I thought as much. I was wondering why he always go to the bedroom so it's because of that guy. That guy!" she was fuming. She felt as though she was betrayed. She went back to the bedroom door and knocked this time around. "Mister, are you leaving soon?" Katherine asked. "No. Even if I want to leave, it will be late in the night. A beauty like me shouldn't be going about in the sun," he replied. Katherine left him and went to her seat.

She began contemplating whether to call Mr Olsen and inform him of the stranger in the office or not. She knew by calling Mr Olsen, he will become aware of her plan. She decided to just let him be in as much as he didn't cause any harm. She got to work.

How time flies! Katherine didn't even realise time was fast-spent until she received a call from Sophia asking her if she would come down for lunch or not. She decided to go have lunch with Sophia and her colleagues. "Hi guys," Katherine smiled warmly as she greeted Sophia's colleagues. "Kat, how are you? It's been a while. I find it difficult to even believe we work under the same roof," Miranda hugged her. "Being the CEO's assistant is exhausting. One just keep jumping from one meeting to another," Katherine sat beside Miranda. "Don't worry, your hard work will pay off. Mr Olsen will increase your salary," Drey said. "Tsk. I'm not sure the CEO is generous enough to do that," Miranda said. "Mimi, all you see is the bad in people. Open your eyes and see the good deeds of people," Drey said. "You guys shouldn't argue. Let Katherine tell us how Mr Olsen is," Sophia said.

"Mr Olsen is not too nice neither is he too wicked. He is also unpredictable. You can never tell what he will do next. That's all about him," Katherine said. "You see? All you do is judging people around," Drey said to Miranda. "All you do is judging people," Miranda mimicked. "You guys haven't changed," Katherine laughed, "You still bicker each other. You guys will make a cute couple," she said. "Tsk. He is no match to be my boyfriend talk more of husband," Miranda spat. Drey laughed heartedly. "I reserve my comment for another time," he said.

When Katherine got back to the office, she knocked on the bedroom door. "Who is that who doesn't understands someone has to sleep?" the guy asked. "I'm sorry. I was just wondering that you didn't have lunch. What should I get you?" Katherine asked. "You plan to poison me, right? I knew it! I won't allow that. I'm not hungry," he responded. Katherine hissed and went back to her table. She was angry at herself for being nice to someone Mr Olsen loves who isn't her. She wasn't jealous, she told herself but she felt betrayed and dumped. She thought he should at least tell her he wasn't interested in her any more.

She angrily dialed Mr Olsen's number. She wondered why he didn't come to the office today. They have a meeting to attend by five p.m. Mr Olsen didn't pick up so she stopped calling him and was fuming in her chair. Moments later, Mr Olsen called back. "Hey Kat, what's up?" Mr Olsen asked in a light hearted mood. "You have a meeting by five p.m. and you are nowhere to be found in the office," Katherine almost yelled. "Are you having a bad day? Oh! I'm sorry. I know it's because you miss me," Mr Olsen said. "I don't miss you. I'm just wondering why you are not in office. You didn't call nor drop a message," Katherine said. "I dropped an email," Mr Olsen responded. Katherine checked her email and saw that Mr Olsen's mail was among the ones she still left unread. "I'm just seeing it," she mumbled. "Check it. I also talked about today's meeting in it," Mr Olsen said. "Ok," Katherine responded and opened the mail. "Have you had your lunch?" Mr Olsen asked. "Some guy is in your room here at the office," Katherine said and hung the call.
