I Love You But It's Late

"How did you know someone was in my room yesterday?" Mr Olsen asked Katherine who has her head bowed before him. "I heard sounds," Katherine replied simply. "You know you can't fool me," Mr Olsen said. "I wasn't planning to fool you," Katherine said. "I think this will make you realise something," Mr Olsen turned on the projector he had set already. "Look," he told Katherine who turned to look at the screen. Katherine knew she was busted. "Sir, I can explain. What actually happen is that.......," Katherine was saying but Mr Olsen interrupted her. "You invaded my privacy again," Mr Olsen said. "You caused it," Katherine said. "How?" Mr Olsen asked.

"You distanced yourself from me. You are always in that room of yours. You treated me like a stranger. I became curious as to why you are always in the room and that was when I saw your true colour. You are a cheat. A liar. Every word you ever said to me were lies. None was true. I've finally known you are now a bisexual or even a gay. You said you won't give up on me until I love you back. But look at you, what did you do? You betrayed me. You lied to me. You are a cheat!" Katherine said with all her inbuilt emotion. Mr Olsen walked to face Katherine with his hand in his pocket. "How am I a cheat? You never accepted my proposal. Moreover, you told me never to bring up topics about getting intimate with you in the office. So, how did I cause it? How am I a cheat?" Mr Olsen questioned

Katherine stared at Mr Olsen with teary eyes. She bite her lower lip trying to fight back her tears. "I love you but I guess it's too late," Katherine said and walked out of the office with tears trickling down her eyes. Her heart ached as she walked tears-blindly to the private elevator. When she got to the elevator, she sat on the floor and allowed her tears to flow freely.

Mr Olsen was still dazed about Katherine's confession. He came back to reality and went after Katherine but she wasn't on the hallway. He dialed her number and heard it ringing in the elevator. He rushed toward the elevator and opened the door. He found Katherine sitting on the floor. "Katherine," he called and tried to touch her but Katherine adjusted away from him. "Please let me be," Katherine said. "What that guy said was a lie. I'm not a gay neither am I a bisexual. You can ask Jake or Jessie," Mr Olsen said. "Please let me be," Katherine said and stood up. She used all her might to push Mr Olsen out of the elevator and pressed the last floor button.

"She loves me back but she doesn't want me," Mr Olsen said as soon as Jake picked his call. "Who loves you?" Jake asked. "Katherine. She loves me and I love her but she doesn't want me," Mr Olsen said. Jake was surprised. He never suspected that Mr Olsen might have feeling for Katherine. He knew Mr Olsen changed a little because of a female, he just wasn't aware of who the female was and he didn't investigate it also. "How? How is that possible? I thought you don't like having anything to do with females," Jake said. "That was valid until I met Katherine. I don't even know how it happened. I just love her," Mr Olsen said. "Where is she now?" Jake asked. "She left," Mr Olsen responded. "Left for where?" Jake asked. "I don't know. I'm afraid she will go and get drunk," Mr Olsen said. "Don't worry. I will let you know of her whereabouts in the next five minutes. Then, we can discuss what to do. Let's just know where she is first," Jake said and ended the call.

Mr Olsen called Katherine endlessly but she didn't pick his calls. "Please just pick the call," Mr Olsen said pacing his office. Suddenly a thought struck him, he called Sophia's office. "Sophia, to my office now," Mr Olsen said. It was Henry who picked the call. "Okay sir," Henry responded. He faced Sophia. "Did you offend the CEO?" Henry asked. "No. Why?" Sophia answered. "Mr Olsen said you should report to his office immediately. He also sounded urgent," Henry said. "Okay. I'll be back soon," Sophia left the office wondering why Mr Olsen needed her attention urgently. "Did Katherine tell him I was also aware of her plan to sneak into his bedroom after she was busted?" Sophia pondered.

"Did you report Sophia for any offense?" Harry questioned Henry. "I didn't. You guys know we resolve any issues within ourselves," Henry responded. "Yes but I'm still confused as to why the CEO will call Sophia urgently," Drey said. "Don't be stressed. I know he won't do the worst. Sophia has always been a diligent worker. Even if the matter comes to worse, we will talk on her behalf," Henry said. "You are thinking too much. I'm pretty sure she was called because Katherine has caused trouble," Miranda said. "Miranda," everyone called at once. "Why will you say so?" William asked. "The last time we were together, Katherine told us that she is planning a big trouble for herself," Miranda said. "Are you implying that the big trouble has been executed?" Henry questioned. "Maybe or perhaps, she was found out before its execution," Miranda said. "Whichever. I just pray Sophia will be fine," Drey prayed.

Sophia knocked on the door when she got to Mr Olsen's office. The door opened automatically. When she stepped in, she looked around for Katherine but didn't find her so she concluded that she might have left after being busted. "But didn't she tell me Mr Olsen can't sack her?" Sophia wondered. "Good afternoon sir," Sophia bowed. "Where does Katherine go to whenever she is sad or angry?" Mr Olsen's question left Sophia staring. "I'm taking to you!" Mr Olsen barked. "I'm sorry sir. I can't disclose that to you. It's her private life," Sophia said. "You will have to blame yourself if she hurts herself if you don't answer me soonest," Mr Olsen said. "What happened to Kat?" Sophia became alarmed. "Just answer the damn question and call Jake to ask him," Mr Olsen said. "She goes to a bar. She goes to the beach. She talks to someone but I doubt this will be because she talks to me only about her true feelings," Sophia said. "Does that mean you are aware?" Mr Olsen asked. "Aware of what?" Sophia asked. "Nevermind. See you later," Mr Olsen said and rushed out of the office dialing a number on his phone.

"I knew it! I knew she has been busted," Sophia said and left the office for hers so as to call Jake and Katherine to know what was happening. "Did you offend him?" her colleagues asked immediately Sophia got to her office. "No. He just asked the most weird question I've never imagined he did ask," Sophia responded. "Did he ask you out?" Miranda blurted. "Geez! You are watching too much romantic movies these days," Sophia said and went to her desk. She dialled Katherine's number but she didn't pick up. She then dialed Jake's number. Jake's number was busy. "What is going on?" Sophia had began to perspire.
