Lies!!!

Katherine stared at Piper for a while before clearing her throat. "Hi," Katherine said. "Hi! Is Jessie in?" Piper asked. "Yeah. Sure. Come in," Katherine opened the door wide enough to allow Piper pass through it. Katherine walked behind Piper as they both went into the house. "Hi," Piper greeted when she got to where Jessie and Sophia were. "Hello," Sophia smiled as she responded. "How are you?" Jessie also responded to Piper's greetings. "I'm sorry guys. I totally forgot to inform you I'll be having a company," Jessie said apologetically to Katherine and Sophia. "It's fine. We can all have fun together, right?" Sophia said beaming. She looked at Katherine for approval too but found her looking expressionless. 'Did they know each other?' Sophia wondered but decided not to say anything about it.

"Urrm, Jessie. I won't be staying too long. I just want to tell you something and leave," Piper said. "Oohh! No problem then. I'll make sure to make you my guest next time," Jessie said. Piper just nodded and smiled. "Are you comfortable saying it here or we should have some privacy? Don't worry about them. They will understand," Jessie said. "I prefer we have our privacy," Piper said. "Alright. Follow me. Babes, I'll be back before you know it. Don't have plenty of fun without me," Jessie said and led the way. "If it is about Dylan, you can say it here. Moreover, I have a question for you," Katherine said before the pair got to the door. Piper stopped on her track so as Jessie. "Kat, do you know her? Even if you do, I'm pretty sure she won't be comfortable talking about Dee where you are," Jessie said. "Why won't she be comfortable? Only if she wants to badmouth my boyfriend will she not say it here," Katherine said. "Your boyfriend? Who? Dylan? You are kidding, right?" Jessie was surprised. She knew Dylan is now in love but she never thought it was Katherine. "Or maybe Katherine is being mischievous," she thought.

Sophia looked at Jessie. "Aren't you aware?" she asked. "I only know Dylan is in love with a lady. I never thought it was Katherine," Jessie said. "Jessie, your guest is waiting," Katherine said looking over Piper. "Okay," Jessie said and led the way with Piper following her. When the pair left, Katherine faced Sophia sharply. "How did you know?" Katherine enquired. "My boyfriend is Dylan's best friend. I was summoned yesterday after you left the office so... You now know how I know," Sophia replied. "That means Dylan gave you the permission to stay at home without you even asking," Katherine frowned. "Yes. I couldn't tell you what really happened because I know how scary you can be," Sophia said giving her her puppy face. "Alright. I'll let it pass but next time, I won't," Katherine said. "I love you," Sophia hugged her.

They continued playing the Scrabble when Jessie and Piper returned to the room. "You done?" Katherine asked looking at the board as she formed her words. "I'm here to tell what I know about Dylan also I will like to answer your question," Piper answered. Katherine placed the last tile to form her word and looked up at Piper. "You can have your seat," she said. Jessie and Sophia hid a smile as they watched Katherine being bossy. Piper sat and looked expectantly. "Eleven years ago, what really happened between you and Dylan?" Katherine asked. "I will like to know too. The guys never told me anything because I wasn't around when it happened," Jessie chipped in.

_Piper walked into the office with two bottles in her hands happily. "Hey boo," she hugged and was pecked by Dylan who was in the midst of a meeting. "How are you? You are back so early. Anything for me?" Dylan asked. "Of course, I got you a drink. Also, my new chemical formation has been produced. I've brought a sample for you," Piper responded happily. Jake who was also in the meeting room cleared his throat. "We are in the middle of a meeting, Mr and Miss," he said. "Oh? I apologise. I was just carried away," Dylan smiled apologetically at the workers who were present at the meeting. "It's fine, boss," one of them said. "I will sit behind them," Piper said and went to sit beside Jake who was sitting not too close and not too far from the meeting. They began to engage in small talks in whispers._

_Dylan soon ended the meeting and came to sit with Jake and Piper. "Babe, I should have my drinks now," Dylan said gathering Piper in his embrace. "Okay but let me get the cups first," Piper said and made to stand but Dylan held her tight and close to himself. "Jake is a good boy. He loves to get it for us, right?" Dylan said and faced Jake. "This is unfair. I'm not getting any cup for you guys. How I wished Jessie was here, she would have talked sense into the two of you," Jake frowned. "You could have been able to talk sense also but you ran away from military," Dylan sticked out his tongue at Jake. Jake frowned and puffed his cheeks. "You look like a barbie when you do that," Dylan said still stepping on Jake's nerves. "Deeeeeeeeee," Jake clenched his fist. "It's okay, Jake. Dee, don't be an annoying ass. He didn't run away from military. He just took a break. I'm sure he will go back," Piper said, "Anyways, I will get my cups myself," she then forced herself out of Dylan's embrace._

_"Bro," Dylan called after Piper had left. "Some somebody shouldn't bro me," Jake said. "I was only trying to make you laugh," Dylan said feigning sadness. "Sorry. I've told you severally to stop making fun of me to make me laugh. It's not funny," Jake said. "I always don't want to too but each time you puff your cheeks, all I see is barbie," Dylan said. "You will never changed," Jake said and punched him playfully. "Alright guys," Piper entered the office with three cups. She handed two to the guys. "The first cheers will be to Dylan for successfully taking over the family's company," Piper said. She shook the bottle of drink and popped it open. As she opened it, she made it pour on Dylan. It was one of her crazy ways of celebrating. Unknown to her, it wasn't the bottle which contained the drink that she held so as she made the supposed drink pour on Dylan, it splashed on his face. "Oh my God! Help," it was Dylan's cries of pain and the the smell of the acid that made her realised it wasn't the drink she held. She had mistaken the drink and the acid she brought! Jake quickly rushed Dylan to the car. Off he went to the hospital._

"That was what happened. I tried fruitlessly to make him understand that it was accidental but he didn't even give me a chance to talk," Piper was wiping her tears already. Katherine sighed and patted her back. "Maybe he never even loved you. Maybe he has been finding a way to let go of you then boom, the accident occurred," Katherine said. "Lies! Lies! All lies! Everything she said is lies," Everyone turned to look at the door as they heard Mr Olsen's voice. He was standing at the door with Jake.
