Our Ugly CEO Has Someone Who Loves Him

Katherine woke up later to realise it was almost close hour and she hadn't cleaned the office. She hastily cleaned the office and got out of the company before all doors were closed. "Why didn't Sophia come to get me?" she mumbled as she rushed downstairs. "Sophia can be an intelligent dummy, sometimes," she thought as she flagged down a taxi.

Mr Olsen froze seeing Piper. She was the last person he wanted to see. "I can't recall inviting anybody here," Mr Olsen said expressionless. "Dylan," Piper called trying to reach out to hold him. "Call me Mr Olsen," Mr Olsen angrily said and moved his body backwards unabling Piper to touch him. "Mr Olsen," Piper swallowed, " I want to have a word or two with you," she said. "Unless I gave you an appointment, I can't discuss with you," Mr Olsen said and slammed the door on Piper's face. He couldn't bear to stand there any longer. He would break down.

Piper was rooted to the ground with tears streaming down her cheeks. She couldn't believe Dylan won't want to see her. Eleven years was more than enough to forgive someone, right?, she thought. After a while, she left with the hope that she would go to see him at the company the following day.

Mr Olsen went back to his drink. He drank angrily and threw the bottle away. He drank and drank till he was wasted. He didn't even realise when he slept off.

He woke up the following morning feeling edgy and a heavy headache. He held his head and tried to get out of bed but it was difficult as his vision also began to blur. He lay in bed and waited for the effects of the alcohol to wear off a bit before getting up again. He cleaned up, had his breakfast and left for work.

Katherine got home to realise Sophia wasn't home. She dialed her number to know where she was. Sophia was laughing heartedly when she answered Katherine's call. "Hey Kat," she said. "Where are you?" Katherine questioned. "I'm out with a monkey," Sophia answered. "Stop calling me a monkey. I'm a handsome guy," Katherine heard Jake grumble. She laughed. "So, you have decided to make up with Jake?" she inquired. "Yes," Sophia said. "Now that you've made up, I guess you will be telling me what happened between you two before," Katherine said. "Well, that is if I can still talk when I get home 'cause Jake has turned me to a glutton. I'm eating anything and everything," Sophia said. "He didn't force it into your mouth, did he?" Katherine said. "He did directly. Why would he purchase mouth-watering things?" Sophia complained eyeing Jake. Katherine burst into laughter. Jake did too. "Bye. Talk to you later. Tell that monkey to ensure he brings you home. I can already imagine you crawling like a tortoise from over eating," Katherine said. "Kath....," Sophia wanted to scream but Katherine already ended the call.

Jake made a bareface at Sophia who was frowning. "You can deal with her at home," Jake said. "Yenyenyen, I know," Sophia said walking to the car. Jake wondered what the childish sound was about but shrugged it off knowing well that he is out with a psycho-angel. Sophia was about to enter the car when Jake held her and turned her to face him.

Sophia stood wondering what he was up to. Jake moved closer to her and raised his hand up to touch her hair. "Is he gonna kiss me again?" Sophia thought and looked waiting for what to expect. "You ate so much that your hair also ate with you," Jake said interrupting Sophia's thought as he removed food crumbs from her hair. Sophia felt disappointed. Seems she was expecting something else. "You caused it though," Sophia pushed Jake away and entered the car. Jake laughed and went to the driver's side.

He drove to Sophia's apartment. The silence in the car was a peaceful one unlike the last time they drove together. "Next month is valentine," Jake said. "I know," Sophia pouted. She is spending this year valentine alone again, or probably with Katherine. "Will you be my date for Val?" Jake enquired with a smile. "I got a date already," Sophia lied. Hearing her statement, Jake felt as though he has been stabbed in the heart but he masked it with a smile. "I should have known. Everyone wants you," Jake muttered. Sophia laughed and hit him playfully. "Don't be jealous, monkey. You can ask Kat. She is still single," Sophia winked. "I'm not jealous. After all, I'm not gonna have a drama queen as my valentine date. As for asking Kat to be my val, I don't want Ren troubling me. You know that dude isn't over Katherine," Jake said. Sophia nodded in agreement.

Sophia was forced to tell Katherine what made her distance herself from Jake before. Katherine was left mouth agape for a while. "I think he likes you. The idiot might not just be sure what it is," Katherine said. "Ha! Good night. I'm not ready for your relationship counselling tonight," Sophia went to bed. Katherine laughed at her.

The following day, at work, Katherine was so busy that she even missed lunch. She was preparing for her visit to Clane Limited. She was as nervous as a wet cat because that is Ren's company and it's been a while she last saw him. She comported and assured herself that she was going to be fine. Business should strictly not be mixed with feelings and relationships.

When lunch was over, she packed the files that need Mr Olsen's assessment and went to his office. When she got to his door post, she meet a lady knocking. "Good afternoon madam," Katherine smiled. "Afternoon. Is Dylan - I mean Mr Olsen in?" the lady enquired. "Yes. I will lead you," Katherine smiled and used her fingerprint to open the door. "Sir," Katherine called Mr Olsen who was engrossed in a file. Mr Olsen looked up and his expression changed immediately he set his eyes on Piper.

"What do you want?" Mr Olsen thundered. "I....," Katherine was about to answer but Mr Olsen held up his hand to her and said, "Not you." Piper sighed, " Dylan, we can talk things out. It's eleven years already," Piper said calmly. Katherine tried to connect dots from the lady's statement and Mr Olsen's reaction. She was able to conclude that Mr Olsen and her once dated eleven years ago. "There is nothing to talk out. Besides, I got myself a girlfriend who would be my wife-to-be soon," Mr Olsen said.

Katherine was surprised at this revelation. So their ugly CEO has someone who loves him. "Dylan, .....," Piper was interrupted. "To burst your bubbles and make you drop dead, if possible, my girlfriend foolishly led you to my office," Mr Oslen said angrily. Katherine was too shocked to react. Why would her boss use her to make some random lady jealous? The lady looked at Katherine. Katherine looked down. "And I'm so pissed I want to see nobody but her," Mr Olsen said. Katherine was left stunned by her boss's next action. He kissed her.
