TWENTY-SIX
By the time Yalda emerged from her room, she had showered and changed into more presentable clothes; an indication that she intended to go out. Alexander knew her all too well to know that she never completely got dressed unless she was going out, he arched a brow as she came to join him on the dining table.
“What?”. She asked him quietly as she settled down.
She could tell he was scrutinizing her and she didn’t like it.
“Going out?”. He asked her.
She nodded.
“I’m heading back to my apartment after breakfast”. She replied.
He crossed one leg over another as he leaned back into is seat.
“You’re heading back to your apartment because…..?”. He asked her.
She cleared her throat quietly. Couldn’t he understand that she was a grown woman who could do whatever she wanted without having to offer an explanation? Nonetheless, she decided to tell him her reason; she didn’t care what he would say. He had crossed the line the other day.
“Jaxon’s coming over”. She told him. “Of course, it would be weird to have him visit me here at your penthouse. Obviously”.
He didn’t seem surprised or upset or anything at all, it seemed he had expected this already.
“How are you feeling now?”. He asked her, completing disregarding the topic.
She shrugged.
“I’m good, just a dull headache”. She replied.
He nodded.
“Have your breakfast, take your meds, and Carl will drop you off at your apartment”. He said simply.
She arched a brow slightly. Was he really not going to say anything about the fact that Jaxon was going to pay her a visit in her apartment? He had said he didn’t want her seeing other men, right? So wasn’t he supposed to be bothered about Jaxon? Or perhaps he wasn’t as possessive of her as she thought he was, perhaps he didn’t really give much of a fuck about her.
The thought seared her but she refused the acknowledge the pain. She shoved the thought aside so it wouldn’t hurt her anymore than it already had.
“I might still make it to the office today after all”. He said as he glanced at his wristwatch.
She merely nodded. Her mood was suddenly unpleasant; everything about him upset her, from his judgement, to his silence, and his haughtiness, they made her so mad.
“It’s a shame I won’t be having you around till Monday”. He was saying as he reached for his fork to shovel some spaghetti.
Did it really matter to him that she wouldn’t be around? It wasn’t like he couldn’t fuck any woman he wanted.
“What does it matter? You’ll be having Maya Blackwood around”. She replied quietly.
His hand stilled at once and his gaze snapped to hers. She refused to chicken away from his glare, she held his gaze almost defiantly till a faint smirk curved his lips.
“I swear to God, Yalda, you test me every day, every fucking day”. He said to her. “And if you hadn’t been in a hospital just a few hours ago, I’d have you spread out on this table while fucking some sense into you. Or perhaps I’d have you on your knees while fucking some respect into your mouth”.
His words went straight to her core. She lowered her gaze from his as she clenched her thighs to stop herself from squirming in her seat.
“For the last time, Yalda, it’s no business of your whom I choose to fuck”. He told her. “Be very mindful of what you say to me”.
Her chest heaved heavily and she blinked quickly to clear the hints of tears that had begun pricking the back of her eyes. She knew she had triggered this; she had brought this upon herself, but she would never accept it, never. She suddenly wasn’t in the mood to have breakfast; she pushed her seat back and stood up.
“I’ll get my things and head out now”. She said quietly.
He shook his head.
“Sit down and have breakfast before you leave”. He ordered without so much as looking at her.
She stood there breathing heavily as she considered her options; she could choose to ignore him and walk away, that would mean her risking evoking his wrath. Or she could simply sit down and have breakfast like his compliant whore. Her throat had clenched so much she was beginning to find it difficult to breathe.
“I’m not hungry”. She said quietly.
He set his fork down and it was only then that his gaze flickered up to meet hers.
“Don’t make me say it again”. He warned.
Her lips parted and a shuddering breath left her as an all too familiar chill ran down her spine as something else ran down the pit of her stomach to the area between her legs. A part of her wanted to do as he asked, but the other wanted to test him, wanted to find out what he would do, wanted him to do something.
“I don’t want to”. She said almost breathlessly.
That was all it took for him to push his seat back and rise to his feet. It happened like a blur; one moment he was standing there, and the next, he had grabbed her and his fingers were wrapped around her throat in a way that wasn’t uncomfortable but firm enough to put her in her place.
Her body trembled as pleasure and fear rang all over.
“You wont learn to do as you’re told, will you?”. He asked her, his voice low, deep and predatory.
Yet another shuddering breath left her but she said nothing this time, she held her tongue.
“Answer me”. He ordered as he backed her against the table so the edge dug into the back of her thighs.
What was she to tell him? How was she to reply? She tried nonetheless.
“I…will”. She replied quietly.
He nodded.
“You will, because I have a lot to teach you”. He said, his words thick with meaning.
Her body trembled even more and her breath faltered as she stared up at him with darkened lustful eyes. She was squirming so much now and he noticed, it caused his lips to curve in a dark smirk.
“You like this, don’t you, Yalda?”. He asked as he leaned in so his face was close to hers, so very close; so close that his breath caressed her lips.
She tried to nod but couldn’t because his fingers tightened around her throat. She swallowed the lump that had formed in her throat before forcing herself to speak.
“I do”. She replied quietly.
He dragged his thumb over her lips and she parted them knowing that was exactly what he wanted. He pushed his thumb into her mouth and she latched her lips around it and sucked as though it was another part of him.
