SEVENTY-TWO

Relaxed. That was how Yalda felt when she woke up after sleeping for three hours, however, there was this nagging thought about Sasha that made her want to shower and wash away all the prints her hands had left of her. She was probably just being petty but she truly couldn't help herself.

She climbed out of bed determinedly and made her way to the bathroom. Her pale blue summer dress was quickly discarded as was everything she had on underneath before she stepped into the shower. Warm water went running down her body for the third time today, and it felt just as relaxing as the first two times.

There was something about just closing your eyes and letting the sound of running water drown out your thoughts while cleansing your body gently. Perhaps she shut her eyes for too long, perhaps she lost track of time, or perhaps it had only been a minute, but when she opened her eyes, the enclosure was all foggy.

She rubbed the water from her eyes before blinking a couple of times to clear her vision, she did that in time to watch the door slide open as Alexander made his way in to join her. Her gaze raked over his godlike body before she could stop herself, and her body heated up from the sight of him.

A shuddering breath left her as he came to stand wth her underneath the shower.

"You had a massage earlier, I think it's unwise to spend this long in the shower." He told her.

She watched the water wet his hair, his brows, his lashes, his skin. She watched him become even more handsome right before her very eyes.

"I...I lost track of time." She replied. She had no idea why she was suddenly stuttering. It wasn't like this was the first time he had joined her in a shower. She just happened to be a bit flustered today.

He stepped closer to her before reaching out and brushing a wet lock of hair from her face.

"What's on your mind?" She replied.

This was giving her a sense of déja vu but she just couldn't remember when a similar event had occurred. She shook her head.

"Nothing." She replied honestly.

"Are you sure about that?"

His fingers slid underneath her chin and he nudged her head up to face him as always.

"I am." She replied.

"How do you feel?" He asked her.

She shrugged.

"Relaxed." She replied.

He shook his head.

"I didn't mean physically." He said.

Of course, she should have known. She averted her gaze from his as she thought about what to say. She wants sure how she felt, she had tried her best not to think too much of it. The fact that they were here made her simply want to lock away her chaotic emotions and set them aside.

"Numb." She replied quietly, she almost thought he wouldn't hear her over the sound of the running water, but he did.
