"I really have to go quickly," he said and he stretched the folder out to Nathan. Nathan raised his eyebrows and refused to take it.

"I'm pressed. I quickly got this here first because of Mr. Xander," Viktor explained quickly and Nathan took the folder from him.

I watched as Viktor ran out of the door in haste and I stared at the door suspiciously before shrugging and facing Nathan.

"So do you think he's going to pick us?" I asked Nathan and he rolled his eyes.

"Not bloody likely." Nathan replied and leaned into the couch he was sitting on with an heavy sigh.

"Fair enough," I squeezed my mouth and nodded, tapping my fingers on the desk. I took a look at the desk and saw that there were some new files there that I probably needed to attend to, but I was feeling really tired.

My hand reached for my neck and I twisted my neck to both sides. Next time I have to use that silver herb powder, I'll make sure that I have a gas mask or something. It's really bad not to be able to heal quickly and even feel so tired.

I looked up and faces Nathan who was leaning into the couch and closing his eyes.

"So do you want us to stay till work closes or do you want to go back?" I asked and Nathan immediately sat up, opening his eyes.

"I think we really need that nap," he said with a nod and he stood up on his feet.

"Yeah, let's go," I walked out of my desk and I pushed my chair back in before walking towards Nathan and nodding. He walked to the door and opened it and I walked after him out of the office. Nathan opened the elevator and we both walked in.

I leaned on the wall of the elevator and thought about the encounter I just had with Xander. He was truly really annoying, I thought and stood straight up again to face Nathan.

"Why do you think Viktor has been in this company for so long?" I asked him and he looked like my question confused him and caught him of guard. Yeah, I also didn't really know why I asked, but I was suddenly feeling a strange suspicion and I don't know where it's coming from.

"Ummm. Because he's effective and diligent with his job," Nathan replied and the elevator opened. He nodded and walked out of the elevator, and I walked after him.

"Is thay Viktor and Xander?" I asked, looking out the transparent doors at Mr. Viktor standing next to Xander's car and talking to him. They were standing really close to each other and staring at each other as Viktor talked to him.

"Yes, what are they talking about?" Nathan asked, equally surprised to see the both of them.

I watched as Xander nodded before getting into his car and driving away.

I have to find out what that was about.

I was about to walk forward and confront Viktor when I felt my phone vibrate in my pocket and then ring out.

I reached into my pocket and looked at the caller id to see that it was Killian.

Why was he calling me?

"It's Killian," I told Nathan and accepted the call.

"Killian, what's it?" I asked.

"The guards just caught three Vampires around the border," Killian replied and I looked at Nathan who also looked suprised as he must have heard with his wolf hearing.

"What? When? What did they want?" I asked quickly and immediately began to walk out of the building.

"Two of them were killed during confrontation, but we were able to capture one of them alive," Killian replied and as I attempted to open the door, Viktor opened it and walked in.

I looked up at him and remembered that I wanted to ask him about what he was discussing with Xander, but this was far more important.

I walked past him and hurried to my car. I stretched out my hands and Nathan reached into his pocket, taking out the car key and handing it to me.

"So, what did he say?" I asked as I opened the car and climbed into the driver's seat.

I inserted the key and quickly started the engine before shutting the door.

"He wouldn't say anything until he sees you," Killian replied and I slowly drove out of the compound onto the main road.

"Well, I'm gonna make sure he regrets that," I said and pulled the gear, driving at full speed.

"It's been long since the Vampires caused trouble, I wonder what it is this time," Nathan said and I nodded in support.

Well, there weren't many Vampire Clans in Los Angeles and I knew all the existing Clans so I tried to think of that any of them might want.

The Lusting Fangs Clan was out of the question as we had no trouble with them because of Kiara, but we also didn't have any sort of confliction with the other Clans.

I slowed down the car as we got to the entrance of the Black Cedar Estate. The Black Cedar's home was this private estate at the edge of the city built by my father. It was registered under the government, but it was a private estate and no one knows that it is actually a pack full of werewolves.

One security guards at the gate came forward and he looked into the car through the window before regarding me with a nod and signalling to his partners to open the gate.

The gate slowly opened as it was open widely enough, I drove in slowly before increasing the speed again and drifting to the road on the left that led to the main pack mansion.

"I'll make sure that I get it out of that Vampire in the most gruesome way possible," I replied and looked up to see that we were nearing the main pack mansion.

"I am going to make him wish that he wasn't the one who survived."15
