Cartel
Dante.

I grunted and swiftly bent down, causing Nathan's fist to swing over my head.

Before he could balance himself, I tried to kick him in the abdomen, but he swiftly grabbed my leg.

He twisted my leg and I was about to loose balance, but I flipped in the air and used my other leg to kick him at the side.

He immediately let go of my leg and I landed on the floor.

The two of us stopped as I felt a third presence and a fourth in the room and I looked in the direction of the door to see Killian and a guard who was usually at the estate's gate.

i raised my eyebrow up a bit, staring at them inquisitively.

"What happened?" I asked.

"We were able to retrieve the family that went missing at a Rogue camp nearby." Killian replied and I nodded.

Then why was that guard here? That couldn't be all that they wanted to say.

"Okay?" I stared at them.

"Ummm...... he just told me that he found two Rogues lying outside the estate's gate unconscious," Killian explained and I smiled, glancing at Nathan.

Well, what can I say? Those spelled Kyanite stones work like charm.

"That's good to hear. Throw them into the dungeon. I'll be coming to speak to them later," I instructd and they nodded. They were about to step out of the room when I stopped them.

"Wait."

They both stopped walking and they turned around to face me.

"I want you to be checking the perimeters around the pack from today. We're going to be seeing more of those unconscious Rogues lying around," I said with a wicked smile and they nodded before walking out of the room.

"I told you it would be totally worth it," I said, facing Nathan with a smile.

"And all we had to give was a vial of wolf blood and some money," I added and Nathan sighed, rolling his eyes.

"It's cool until you are coming back to the pack and you suddenly loose consciousness," Nathan said and I nodded, knowing he was partly right.

"It's supposed to knock out any wolf with bad intentions towards the pack, why would I have bad intentions towards the pack?" I asked.

"You can never know," he quickly replied and i chuckled, rolling my eyes.

I looked up as I heard my phone begin to ring and I walked to the table where I placed it.

I looked at the screen and I saw that it was Viktor calling me.

I bent down and I oicked up the phone, acceoting the phone and holding it to my ear.

"Viktor, what's the matter?" I asked since it was weekend.

"Mr. Xander sent me the contact of those who will be supplying the equipments for the estate's Gym," Viktor replied.

"Okay?" I asked, wondering why he was calling me on a Saturday about something like this.

"Starnex is currently talking with those who would supply the construction materials so we are supposed to meet with the Chartel Health and Fitness company in one hour time," Viktor explained and I sighed in frustration.

"Wait, did you say Chartel?!" I asked and I faced Nathan who seemed to have realied what i just did.

"Yes, Cartel," Viktor affirmed.

Cartel was Landon's family brand. His father owned an fitness company and a sport equipment brand.

"Alright, text me the details of the meeting and you can meet up with us at the Cedar estate so we can go together," I said before cutting the call and dropping the phone on the table.

"Does that mean we will be working with Landon on the project?" Nathan asked and I shrugged.

"He has his own Gym so it's possible he might not involve in his father's business," I said and Nathan chuckled.

"That's what you think, or that's what you wish?" Nathan asked with a teasing smile and I shook my head with a loud sigh.

"Let's just get ready."

***

"Alright," I said and ended the call with Viktor as we drove down the road that lead to the estate's gate. He said that he was waiting outside the gate already.

Soon, we reached the gate and I looked outside to see Viktor talking to a guard.

The gate was opened and as we drove out, Nathan stopped the car next to Viktor and the guard who seemed to have been arguing.

"He's with us," Nathan said, rolling down the window at his side.

"I didn't know," the guard replied apologetically and Viktor hissed in annoyance before opening the door at the back and climbing into the car.

Nathan rolled the window back up and he continued driving away.

"How have you not been caught yet?" Viktor asked and I looked over my shoulder, looking at him inquisitively.

"How has the government not known what is really happening in this estate?" Viktor asked.

"We act as carefull as we can," I shrugged.

"So, where are we meeting them?" I asked.

"We're having lunch with Mr. Chartel at Red Lily," Viktor replied and I nodded, knowing the restaurant he just mentioned.

Ten minutes later, we arrived at the restaurant and the car came to a slow halt in the parking lot.

I opened the door and climbed down with an internal sigh.

Viktor and Nathan climbed down too and I faced Viktor.

"Mr. Chartel texted me and he's inside already," Viktor replied the question that was on my mind and I nodded before walking into the restaurant.

I looked around and spotted Landon's dad sitting at a table, but he wasn't the only one there.

Nathan walked up to my side and he chucled.

"Well, this isn't awkward at all," Nathan said as I looked at Landon who was sitting next to Mr. Chartel.

He just confessed his feeling to me two days ago at a dinner where I politely turned him down. This is definitely going to be awkward.
