"What are you talking about?"


"Yes, I didn't want to mention it before but I've met your Mate before in the compound of the Petrova sisters," I said and everyone began to murmur loudly again.


"Apart from Alyssa being super rude to me, I know that members of this pack are not supposed to practice in magic or go to witches for help without the permission of Pack leaders!" I shouted loudly.


"So tell me, did she inform you that she was going to pay a visit to the Petrova sisters?" I asked, staring at Jack for a long time. I looked away from him as he didn't say a word and I faced Elder Logan too.


"But she told me!" Someone shouted and I looked in the direction of where the pack leaders were seated to see the Beta standing up.


Wasn't he her father? I scoffed.


Jack looked at me and with his arms crossed over his chest with a 'what-now?' kind of expression.


"She told me about it before going and I permitted her to do that," he said and he began to walk forward.


"Oh ok can you tell us what she help she needed from the Petrova sisters?" I asked.


He remained silent for a while, and I knew that he was thinking of a lie he could come up with.


"Answer me. What is that big problem that could have made her choose magic as a last resort?" I asked.


"She..she..." He said softly and I chuckled.


"She went there so she could find a cure to the mental sickness of her sister, Natasha!" He suddenly shouted, pointing at the lady tied to the stake.


So her name was Natasha.


"Mental sickness?!" I asked him surprise.


"Yes, I didn't want to mention it but you forced me to," he said.


"For about 6 months now Natasha has been having mental episodes where she'll suddenly start crying to herself, speaking to people who aren't there or lashing out. You can ask the servant at my house," he said and I was surprised to hear that, but I felt the emotion from Nastaha and knew that it was a lie.


"He's lying!" Natasha suddenly shouted with a broken voice. I hated the feeling of hurt that I felt to hear her weak voice.


"I am emotionally and mentally well and that is not the reason why Alyssa has been visiting the Petrova sisters," she continued and people began to murmur again.


"I am really getting confused now."


"There's really a problem with this family."


"Natasha was always outstanding when she was in high school."


"The Beta can't lie to us."


"That's right, remember the issue with the prison guard."


"The reason why Alyssa has been going to the Petrova sisters is because of the dark magic she always uses to steal my powers on full moons," Natasha shouted.


"What powers? You are both Werewolves, so why would she try to take your power?" Beta Rufus asked.


Yes I also thought that that didn't sound right.


"Yeah right. Everyone knows that I have special powers. I can turn into a wolf whenever I want and I don't have to turn on full moons!" Natasha yelled.


Wait what?! She could turn into a wolf whenever she wants?! I look that everyone and none of them said anything to oppose it so it was probably true.


What?!


"I could also read the minds of others and several other things, but before I could even master those abilities and improve them Alyssa ran to the Petrova sisters and she started stripping me of my powers!" Alyssa yelled and I was so surprised to hear that she could also read minds.


"And those powers are the exact reason why you have mental issues. Your sister tried to help you and instead, you trying to kill her!" Rufus yelled back at her.


"I AM MENTALLY WELL, but that is not all Alyssa has done," Natasha said and she faced Jack.


"Alyssa is not your mate. All she has done is to redirect the mate bond you are supposed to be feeling for me to herself," Natasha said and I exclaimed, "What?"


"You may have never known, but I am glad that I broke the bond between us," Natasha added and she nodded in the direction of a dagger lying on the floor.


I walked to the dagger and I picked it up, examining it closely.


It was a Silver Oak Dagger. I suddenly remembered when Jack passed out for a second there. Before that time I looked at Natasha, but I didn't feel anything, it was then that I felt that she was my mate.


"You liar! Alyssa is my mate and you're just bitter about it!" Jack shouted at Natasha.


"Bitter? Why would I be when I have..." I realised that Natasha was going to say something about me being her mate so I quickly rushed forward.


"I'm certain that Natasha is innocent, and you cannot burn her or do any harm to her," I quickly said interrupting Natasha and standing between her and Jack.


"Really why are you doing this Dante?" Jack asked and I wasn't sure of what to say.


"Why are you suddenly helping her and how can you be so sure that she is innocent?" Jack asked.


"I know that you are being sceptical right now but I am certain that she's innocent of the crime she's been accused of," I said and Jack sighed.


"Dante, this is not right. You are interfering in the activities of my pack, and you do not even have any proof to back up what you are saying," Jack said.


I sighed internally and I looked over my shoulder to face Natasha who was still tied to the stake.


I faced Jack again and I nodded, "and I will get you the proof," I said.


"I will get you the proof that she is innocent of all the crimes she's being accused of within 7 days."
