"This is more than a surprise for us... c'mon... you got me unaware" Sabrina was still in joy as she sat down while Dean and Jennifer were still missing themself.
Jeffrey turned to Sabrina and both eye contacts met, Jeffrey didn't know what to do so he quickly called on the waiter to bring them food.
"C'mon man... aren't you guys tired..." Jeffrey shouted and Dean didn't even answer him but opened one of his eyes.
Both of them sit as the waiter comes.
"I can see that you two are best of friends and you even proposed to your lady the same day" The old waiter came to us as he was staring at us and at the same time opened the wine for us.
"Dad!" Jeffrey murmured as he stared at Dean.
"Let's eat up..." Dean requested as he started to eat up the food.
"C'mon... aren't we supposed to take a photograph... like we are engaged now?" Jennifer looked at me as she made the suggestion.
"No... I didn't like photographs so I didn't bring that along... Even Jeffrey here doesn't like it... because we talked about it and we agreed not to" I paused while eating as I answered her but as soon as I called Dean's name, he paused and looked at me.
"It's fine anyway... let's enjoy ourselves... Jennifer, it's fine..." She glanced at Jennifer and continued eating.
"There's something I want to say... you know I told you I'll tell you what makes me happy when I see you..." I pause as I sit comfortably and look at Sabrina but everyone is busy eating.
"There's this business I handled some days ago and it was a success... As I'm talking to you now... I have my company and it's... under renovation" They all pause with their mouth open while staring at me.
"I'm not joking guys... I now own perfume and a photography company... don't worry... very soon you'll see me nationwide but I'm not the owner of the company... I bought the entire place and I'm changing everything" They still couldn't believe that I'll say something like this as they were staring at me
"Fuck... do you think... I'll say something like this as a joke... anyway... let's forget about it..." Now all of them start to murmur but I couldn't hear any of them.
"We believe you but we just don't know how to say it..." Sabrina was still staring at me but I could feel her heartbeat singing out the songs of praise.
"How... come... I didn't know about this" Dean was shocked and upset because I couldn't tell him in the first place.
"Man... I'm sorry... I didn't tell you but I honestly don't want to tell anybody until it's settled... but I made a promise to my woman so I had to..." Jennifer was still staring at me... it was like she was short of words.
"It's fine... let's enjoy... I guess today is a good day for us all... not quite long... never mind" He was about to open a secret but he remembers that they all thought the company was his.
"Let's eat and by the way... my company is going to be controlled by me, my mum and dad... I did it this way... I want a family union also in the office" they all smiled at me except Jennifer.
"Jennifer... Are you happy that I finally had something tangible to do in life?" They all pause what they were doing and stare at her.
"Congratulations... I'm just speechless" Her head was bent down and was scared to look me in the eyes.
"C'mon... are you thinking of our experience... c'mon... you are better than that... and by the way..." she raised her head slowly upward and smiled at me.
"By the way... I know you ran away from home... don't ask me how I know about it... just know that I knew you before Dean... So... right now... we are heading to your place... Our wedding is this Saturday!" They all paused their food and looked at me.
"What? you fixed the date already..." Sabrina was so shocked and today is Wednesday.
"Can we talk outside..." Dean stood up while calling me and I followed him with a glass of wine in my hands.
"What are you doing man..." He whispered to me, making sure that the girl was not staring at them.
"I told you, I'll take care of things... you just have to be prepared for it..." I turned to him while smiling.
"isn't it too quick?" He rests his back in the vehicle, acting confused
"Quick? I'm not forcing you to get married... and besides, you Cherish your lady and remember you told me you wished to spend your life with her... c'mon... you mum has wished for you to marry this lady and same with my parent" I drank up the wine and gave Dean to drink also.
"I'm happy that I'm getting married but I'm just nervous..." Dean drinks up the remaining wine to make him feel better
"It's okay... I'm not done with the discussion yet... let's head back"
We head back to the ladies and join them while pouring wine into our glass.
"Here... back to business... Jennifer... we are heading straight to your family now... I know you want to move on without them knowing but family is family... you have to" This is the first time Sabrina has heard something like this, she was so confused that she had to stop eating.
"I know... but... I tried seeing them several times and..." I interrupted her before she completed her statement.
"Yeah! I know you still have this heartbeat but don't worry... I've researched for you... sorry... me and Dean... we headed there some weeks ago and they have reallocated... so we had to track down her new house... it was beautiful though... so are we good to go" her eyes swollen as she heard me and Dean... immediately, she jumped on Dean, while holding him tight.
Sabrina looked at me and smiled.
"Can we..." I stood up and they followed me... While we were about to leave, the old waiter ran to me.
"Sir... you haven't paid for today's reservation sir..." He whispers to my ear and I'm glad that nobody noticed.
"I'm sorry... please... follow me" he joined me in my vehicle as I opened the bolt and gave him some huge cash.
They all entered the vehicle and I started the engine as I drove directly to Jennifer's mum's palace.
"Hello... please... who's here..." We kept knocking at the door... until someone came out...
"My daughter... my daughter" she opened the door with speed but before she could reach us... Jennifer's knees were on the floor.
"I'm sorry... mum!" She cried out while hugging her mum but she begged her to stand up and entered the house...
" My daughter... I missed you... c'mon you are so beautiful" she kept hugging her as both of them sat together.
"I'm sorry... for all the names I've called you... I can see that you bring your friends but the problem now is... I don't have anything to offer you guys..." She was still holding her daughter tight.
"No ma'am... we are not here for anything... As you can see... there is a ring on your daughter's hands now" She looks at her hands and indeed there is a ring.
"Are you the one?" She asked joyfully.
"No... it's me, ma'am." Dean responded, smiling at her.
"Come... knee down..." Jennifer and Dean kneeled while she prayed for them.
"So my son... What do you do for a living" she stood up after blessing their marriage...
"I owned a company... Rashix company... ma'am" Dean was staring at her as his mouth shook and it seems it was his first time doing an interview.
"Okay... that's nice... do well to take care of my daughter..." She placed her hand on her daughter's shoulder.
"Jennifer... where have you been... c'mon... it's been a while" She turned to her daughter but she was too shy to face her mum.
"Mum! I've been staying... with... him" Jennifer stammered while looking sideways.
"Okay... I can see that you two have known each other for some time now... Don't worry... God will bless your marriage" The day is getting dark... so Jennifer's mum stood up and escorted the young man home...
After much celebration and requirements, we all left happy and headed straight to Sabrina's parents...
Although hers isn't a problem... Everything went smoothly before going to bed.
