Chapter 28

After Jennifer has been hijacked without Dean noticing, he feels reluctant since Jennifer is having fun selecting what she wants.
About a few minutes later, Dean got worried and started looking for Jennifer but unfortunately, he couldn't find her anywhere.
"Jenni... Where are you..." He shouts while walking around the store with his two eyes searching for Jennifer.
"Jenni... please see Jennifer... my wife... the lady I walked in with when I came in... please do you see her," I asked intensively and at the same time, breathing heavily in fear.
"Hmm... I'm sorry sir but I didn't notice because of the people that come in and go at the same time, I'm sorry sir... but you can check around, she's probably somewhere" The lady commented, staring at me while trying hard to make me smile but I'm scared already.
"Ok... no problem... Thanks...please if you see any lady, please tell her to wait for me here" I replied and left the receptionist immediately...
I look around again but there is no sign of her or anything she was holding...
I rushed outside and looked around but didn't see her... This began to be petrified and I even have to check different stores but she is nowhere to be found...
I head back inside the boutique, panicking as I rush to the receptionist again.
"Please, did you see anyone..." Breathing heavily as I hold my hand on her table.
"No... no one yet... I'm sorry sir... but I can't answer you anymore" She replied as she felt reluctant and start filling up her files
I looked anxious as I folded my hands and my eyes in the sky... I looked up and I saw that there was a CCTV camera planted all over the boutique...
"Hey madam... where is the control room... I need to take note of the cameras and know where my wife went to" I asked, staring at her, at the same time, panting but she was playing me deaf ears.
"Hello, ma'am...Is this how you treat your customers... Are you mad? I told you I came here with my wife but now I can't find her anywhere... I need to know who is in charge of this camera" I hit the deck hard in anger as she became shocked and stared at me.
"Sir... please... I don't know you and I don't know if you came in here... please kindly step away and let me do my job"Her lowly tune continues to make me angry...
"Are you mad? Do you think I'll just come up here and make up stories... What's wrong with all these people... I said my wife is missing from this shop... I was here standing and let her select her choice.... the next thing I can't find her anymore" Dean yelled again while staring at her and was ready to pour the anger on her.
"Oh... you are here... why didn't you follow her... but... I'm sorry, I didn't see her" She replied and I thought it was a lead but she provoked me the most.
"Are you...." I raised my fist and tried slapping her hard before a voice interrupted me from behind.
"Hello sir, please what is the matter... I see that you were disturbing our receptionist and Currently she will be attending to a lot of customers... can you kindly tell me what's going on" A man with a black senator native interrupts as he folds his hand and talks with a low voice.
"Hello... Mr. black man... This your receptionist is very stupid... I said I want to see who is in charge of the CCTV and she keeps sending me away... I came here with my wife and not long after, she went missing... imagine...wait... did you just say you saw me disturbing... Does that mean..." I yelled as I dropped my hand slowly and the voice came over low.
"Yes sir... please follow me and we'll discuss on the way" I followed him and we took the lift upstairs.
"Do you hear what I said earlier... I came here with my wife but I couldn't find her now" I questioned again but he was putting on deaf ears... This continues to make me scared and I simply shut my mouth as we reach the destination.
"Sir... You said your wife went missing and..." The black man was about to complete his statement before Dean interrupted him again.
"Are you mad... I said I didn't see my wife again... oh... do you mean what I've been talking about since, you didn't hear anything... Mr. man... if you ask me such a question again, I swear on my name, I'll remove your teeth... Now show me the CCTV and I'll locate my wife myself and stop asking me silly questions" I yelled and pushed him out of the way while trying to press the computer but the black man held my hand.
"I'm sorry sir... let me go forward-backward since the events are just current... don't worry sir, we'll find her for you" The black man pressed his computer while Dean was staring at him from behind.
"Mr. man... focus and concentrate on what you are doing"
"Sorry sir" The black man replied as he became quiet while focusing on the computer.
"Slow down... yeah... this is us entering... move further... yeah... still moving... yeah... I wait here... pause... please..yes... I just left her right in this spot... calm...Wait... Wait... she's making a call here... wait..." Dean talked intensively as he was touching the screen of the desktop while the black man was operating.
"Wait... wait... yes... she's going outside... continue... Damn... what happened... why does it stop here... what happening" I yelled as the tape stopped playing...
"I'm sorry sir... I don't have access to the outside camera but..." He was explaining with a calm voice but I didn't let him complete his statement.
"But what... Are you sick or what... this is my wife here... How do I have access to the outside camera or is it money you want... talk... name your price... any amount" I yelled and at the same time interrupted him while bringing out some cash in my wallet.
"Sir... it's not about money... this is my job... I'll" He was explaining again as Dean interrupted him again.
"Are you mad... then what is it about... talk..." I yelled again but immediately, he yelled back at me and I got provoked and slapped him hard.
"Sir... please let me talk...I said I'll need to take you to another control room so that you can get access to the camera outside the boutique... I'm sorry sir... you have to follow me" He explained and I felt relief... he stood up and I followed him and still saw the money I gave him on the table.
"You should have said such a thing since... is something wrong with you or not" I provoked but followed him as we entered the next room close to him.
"Why do you people not just use one room for the watch...it's just like a waste of room" Dean advised and entered the room slowly.
"It's for safety sir... Nelly... please help me check the CCTV outside the boutique...the man here is looking for his wife... so I have to check it for him but we found out that his wife went out... he just wanted to confirm the direction or where she went to" The black man pointed at Nelly as I entered while he walks away.
"Sir... please come over... I'll need you to identify your wife... you know many people used to come and go every time, so it is not easy for me" He dragged me close to him as I remained silent and watched the CCTV.
"Please go a little backward... yes... calm... she just came out... yes... damn... what just happened? please rewind... I want to be clear of something? What just happened..." I yelled again and grabbed the man on his neck so hard that I lost my temper.
"Sir...please calm down... please sir" He begged and Dean left him immediately.
"I saw when this lady was hijacked but I am sorry for not informing the security... I'm sorry sir" The man bent his head and begged but I was already in pain so everything seemed late to me.
"You are sorry... Because of your careless mistake, I'm about to lose my wife... Are you mad or something..." I slapped him but his head was still bent down.
"First time taking my woman here but now look at what happened... Fucking boutique... I hate this place... fuck you all... and you... I bet you... you'll lose your job... if you think I'm playing... wait till tomorrow" I provoked and pointed my finger at him while thinking of what to do... sometimes, I slammed the desk hard that my hand was about to bleed.
"Sir... please don't do this... sir... please don't do this... I'm sorry sir... I'm sorry sir... sir... please don't do this" He held my leg tightly and I tried removing him but he held me so tight that made me angrier...
"Let go of me... you idiot..." I kicked him hard and left the office in anger as I slammed the door with force.
" damn... what should I do now... where do I start from... oops... I'm tired of this fucking place and everything around my life right now... what should I do Gosh..." Dean murmured to himself as he held his head while walking downstairs the boutique.
"Fuck... you... girl... fuck... you... I hate this place... here is hell" He yelled at the receptionist, pointing his middle finger at her as he left the boutique.
"Damn... I'm off to the station men... Dean... stay strong... nothing will happen to Jennifer... yes... stay strong... I believe in you... but... what will I tell the inspectors... hmm, anyways... I must do something..." I murmured while staring at my vehicle but couldn't open it...
I kept having the reflection of Jennifer by my side every minute... I kept thinking of how she made me laugh before coming here... Things were just falling in place until now... Damn...
"Jenni... hang in there... I promise I must save you wherever you are... stay strong... girl... I believe in you... you can do this..." I slowly opened my car and sat in my driver's seat... it was as if the road was tearing apart right in my eyes but there was nothing I could do... so I drove up to the nearest station.
"Hello, sir... I'm here to report a case... My wife is missing..." I rushed to the station and explained to the first man present.
"Sir... I've heard you but please calm down... I know how you must have felt now... please calm down before I ask you further questions" The man saw Dean panting and he had to console him before he attended to him.
"Fine... I'm sorry sir..." I breathed in and out several times and got myself a little.
"I'm sorry sir... but my wife went missing a couple of hours ago... I have been searching for her but I got a lead that she was hijacked by some group of men but I didn't see their faces because their faces were covered... So... sir... I need help" I explained but the man seemed not to be listening and loved copying his notes.
"I didn't ask you to explain sir... please put down everything you know and leave...And when you leave... don't come back yet until you get a call from us" The man replied, still copying his note and I felt tempted to pour my anger into him but I decided to copy mine now.
As I dropped the report and tried to leave, my phone started ringing... At first, I ignored it... but the person kept calling.
"Hello, sir... This is the crime advocate calling... I have held your wife captive and if you are to keep her alive, you need the sum of 6 Million dollars, in cash...don't ask me any questions... I'll call you in the next five minutes to make up your mind" The thick heavy voice ended the call... and the first thing Dean thought was to turn back to the station since he was still there.
