"What's wrong with you man... I noticed something from you...Since yesterday you have been acting strange... Man... talk to us... aren't we here to help you... Damn... still can't believe that you don't trust us!" Wayne scolded him while he was eating but he suddenly lost his appetite and stopped eating.
"Yeah! Man... We're friends now... You don't have to be scared of us... remember... You all help me in gaining my place back in this company... if it weren't for you... I could have lost my job" Dean advised but immediately he got tired of eating and put the food into a trash bag.
"Dean... I also... have a question for you... but don't worry... let's talk to Golden first!" Wayne stood up and stretched his arm while staring at the atmosphere through the window.
"It's not that I'm not in the mood to say what I have in mind but the thought keeps running through my head and I feel maybe I should just get a rest... I'll tell you about it... but..." he paused as his phone vibrated, he checked it... but it was him that vibrated. " Jeffrey is not here... and this is something I must wait for all of us to be together... It's hard... I'm not in the mood" He rests his head feeling relaxed and frustrated.
"Dean! I have something to talk to you about... You owned this company right... how come you don't have funds for yourself... c'mon... this company must have been with you for about 10 years if I'm not mistaken but when you had the problem of 10 million dollars, you couldn't handle it yourself... I'm shocked..." Wayne was still staring at the atmosphere, but he didn't turn around while talking to Dean
"Yeah... such questions have also been bothering me... c'mon... look at the company... damn... big... but yet.... you still have a problem with 10 million dollars... What's wrong with the accountant in this company Dean? Did someone flee with your money?" Golden sits upright and with the look on Dean, he doesn't seem fine.
"Hmm" Dean crossed his legs while feeling comfortable but didn't know what to say.
"I guess you have me watching you... " Dean commented, still with his leg crossed... he kept on thinking about what to say as he slowly brought out a glass from his drawer and cleaned it with his tie.
"Why should we do something like that... c'mon... it's shocking and we are just curious... or do you think we went ahead and asked how much you make weekly... C'mon... we can't do that okay..." Golden came back to himself as he now has the zeal to talk.
"Anyway, there is nothing to hide... I'll be frank with you guys but let's keep this a secret..." Dean commented and we both nodded our heads in reply.
"What about Jeffrey... should we also keep it a secret from him?" Wayne asked after nodding his head in reply.
"I think it's best if he doesn't know... you know... I told him to work with me but he refused... I don't know the reason though or maybe it's because of what I did to him in the first place... but that's changed now... and he knows it... so we should keep him out of this... for our sake and my sake pls" Dean concluded sand same time, Golden handed him a bottle of water to release himself.
"The truth is... I run this company but the shares go into my mum's account and..." While he was explaining, Wayne yelled, making him pause his statement.
"What? Mum! Why she... and she hasn't even come to this company once... damn" Wayne yelled but he stopped as he saw Dean's face change.
"I'm not done yet! and remember... let's keep this a secret, please... So...my mum collects all the shares and sometimes, I'm left with a little penny... That's the reason why I don't have money to pay the bill" his mood suddenly changed as he explained with tears gathered in his eyes.
" I understand.... but have you talked to her about why she keeps doing that? She might help you...And explain the reason why she's doing all of this..." Wayne advised as he walked close to Dean and touched him by his shoulder and shortly sat beside him.
"Hmm... " Dean consoles himself as he breathes in... " I have talked to her but she didn't give me any valuable reply... What she kept saying was that... she'll hand over the company to me soon... and that's the moment I've been waiting for till now" Dean cleaned up the little drop that just came down from his eyes.
"I understand what you are going through... but don't you think it's time to be a man? C'mon... talk to your mum! She must do something... she's your mother for Christ's sake..." Golden yelled at him making him feel inspired and was about to call his mum but Wayne stopped him.
"Wait... Don't rush it... When you asked your mother for help regarding the 10million dollars, what did she say?" Wayne held his hands as he was about to call his mother.
"Hmm...She said she won't have any money with her... I got a man though because she was the one who borrowed that money and didn't tell me and I have to clean her mess just for the sake of the company... I didn't believe her though but the other day at the hospital... it's like she said she's doing a foundation elsewhere... I don't even know... anymore..." Dean rubbed his head in frustration but Wayne calmed him down by placing his hands on his back.
"I can see... you may not have a proper family background but dean.... don't give up... you can change all of that... Now pick up your phone and call your mother... she must have an answer to all your questions!" Golden penetrates him to call his mum again and immediately, Dean starts dialing her number.
"Isn't that too rash... C'mon... this isn't something you'll have to talk about on a phone call... it's something... you have to discuss it with her...." Wayne's advice and as Dean was about to end the call, his mum picked...
"Mum! Where are you! There is something I need to talk to you urgently... please where are you" Dean talks panicking but his mum didn't say anything... while Wayne stood up back in frustration.
"Hi..." She responded.
"Who's that? What are you doing with my mum's phone... Did something happen to my mother? Talk to me... " Dean yelled in confusion after hearing the voice of his mother and obviously, it wasn't his mother.
"It's me... Jennifer! Don't you know my voice..." The other person responded on the cell phone and at the same time smiled after seeing Dean panicking.
"Oops... Jennifer! Sorry... I can't notice your voice by just saying hi... Where is my mother and why have you with her phone" Dean's voice remained calm as he put down his ass beside Wayne.
"Hmm... I haven't seen her... Since you drop me... I haven't seen her... but her phone was right in the sitting room... even if she wants to go out, she normally wears her favorite slippers but the slippers are here" Jennifer commented as if she was about to cry and feel pity for her.
"Don't worry... she's fine...hope you have eaten?" Dean asked and didn't even feel bothered about the shocking story.
"Yes, I've... so what's that problem that you wanted to tell your mum about! I can keep it for you... and also, I will tell her when she's back..." Jennifer commented as she tried to force words out of my mouth.
"You don't need to worry about yourself... it's not something I can tell you... it's between me and my mum... highly confidential... don't get mad, okay... I love you...." Dean smiled while yelling as he screamed and ended the call.
"Damn... she's not at home!" He complained after ending the call.
"It's not nice to talk about this on cell phone...I thought you said... you are sleeping home tonight... why don't you wait till then... I guess... it'll be nice saying this word to word." Wayne tapped him as he stood up and was about to leave but Golden stopped him from leaving.
"Wait, please... I have something to say! please come back..." Gold dragged Wayne, making him sit and he stood up and locked the door.
"I thought you said... you can't talk... why the sudden change of mind! " Wayne attacks him immediately but Gold smiles at him.
"Do you want me to change my mind now?" they all laughed except Gold... thinking it was funny.
"Please... call Jeffrey and put the phone on speaker!" He pointed his hands at Dean and immediately, he started calling his number.
At first, Jeffrey didn't pick up the cell phone but Dean dialed it again and he picked up.
"Yes... what's it... I'm kind of busy...." Jeffrey scolded immediately as he picked up the call without even hearing what they have to offer.
"We know you're busy but can't you just give us 10 minutes of your time! It won't do you any harm" Wayne was the one who replied... because he knows that if someone else replies, he might turn down their request but since it was Wayne... he'll never turn down his request.
"No problem... What's going on! Wait... is the cell phone on speaker? How come Wayne talked to me and it was Dean that called me!" Jeffrey became shocked as he thought of it.
"Yeah! It was on speaker... I need to say something and I want all of you to hear this..." Golden commented while Dean stood up and walked straight to the door.
"You could have said this is important... I shouldn't have yelled like that! I'm sorry" He apologized and also stared at Dean's mum at the dining table.
"Sorry for what! We are the ones disturbing you... we apologize... " Dean commented and deep down inside me... I smiled.
"Please... what I want to say right now is sensitive... please... I know I've fucked up... but please... find a heart to forgive me...I'm sorry" Golden commented as Dean and Wayne stared at him in confusion.
"Why are you apologizing for something we haven't heard... you don't have to apologize...tell us and we'll find a way to fix things... you know... why two or more people have gathered to solve a problem... we definitely will... so talk to us" Jeffrey on the other side take the next move as he advises him before he starts explaining...
"Hmm... I'm sorry!" Golden inhaled.
"When both of you were on a trip... only me and Wayne were around... I messed up and I couldn't find a way to turn back time and fixed things... There is this lady... I fell in love with... at first sight...I don't know what comes over me though... but... I think she doesn't have this feeling for me... " He breathes in again.
" I don't know if it was because I've been in prison and that's the reason I can't talk to a woman anymore... I head straight to her office and I don't know what took over me... I'm so ashamed of myself right now... I went there and I tried having sex with her in her office... I'm sorry..." Tears rolled down his eyes as he said the word.
"At first... I thought she had the same feelings for me because she lets me touch her but as I was about to kiss her... things turned bad for me... I got attacked and now... I can't even look at this lady in her eyes... I'm sorry... That lady is your secretary Dean" he raised his head with eyes full of tears while facing Dean.
"I said... it... oh! So that's why she has been giving us this attitude... you could have said this..." Wayne yelled so loud making Golden feel embarrassed but he stopped the moment Dean looked at him.
