Chapter 85

"Is something wrong with you right now... I'm trying to help a friend and you saw that... you are shouting.. Are you insane... " Dean scolded her and she became shy and was scared to look at him.
"I'm sorry sir..." she looks sideways. Deep down, she's pained and she wishes that the young man came to say this himself...
"I'm sorry... for yelling at you...But seriously... what's wrong... why did you hate that guy so much... I understand that he crossed the line but humans forgive but you don't look like the person that is willing to forgive him" Dean drew himself closer to her desk with his two hands on her table.
"Sir... I don't want to talk about him... please sir..." She begged him, still looking sideways.
"C'mon, talk to me... or is it because we are not close or because my friend also yelled at you! There is something you are not telling me... I'm free right now!" Dean continued to stare at her but she refused to return the look.
"Sir... I was wondering... Jeffrey came here with you and these guys the other day but now I can't see Jeffrey anywhere... for two days... Has he gotten a new job? Or are you two still Fighting... Pardon... " she turned to him while changing the subject and suddenly looked away.
"I was talking about something serious but you just changed the topic... all of a sudden... if you don't feel like talking to me... say it right away... I'll leave" Dean provoked but the secretary didn't say anything but remained quiet.
"Fine... I get it... you don't want to talk to me... I'm leaving... " Dean stood up while trying to leave her office... He was expecting the secretary to stop him but unfortunately, she didn't say anything...
"Seriously... is that how you behave... no wonder...my friend has to shout at you... you saw your CEO leaving and you couldn't stop him... fine... I agreed that you don't want to talk to me... now leave the office..." Dean turned his back while pointing his finger at her... suddenly she raised her head...
"Sir...But... why... sir..." She stammered as she looked at Dean and it was as if tears were about to come down her eyes.
"I said leave my office... what's wrong with you... bring the key over here..." Dean yelled at her and she stood up and walked slowly to Dean... as she was about to leave the office...she gave the key to Dean.
Dean became frustrated, he felt being disrespected and headed back to her seat where he shut down her laptop.
"Hi... where are you going?" Wayne saw her the moment she came out of her office but didn't get the full picture of her.
"I... I... " she stammered while cleaning up and was torn immediately.
"Were you crying? What's wrong?" Wayne rushed to her but she didn't say any word to him.
Wayne was about to go back to the office but as he saw the girl crying... he had to stay back and know what was happening.
He tried talking to the lady but she didn't give him a reply...
Wayne has to follow her to the restaurant where she usually takes her rest.
"You were crying and I know probably you are not in the mood to talk to anyone and even me... so I think I'm wasting my time here... but I choose to stay" Dean called the waiter to bring two bottles of water.
"I'm sorry but honestly I don't have the cash right now to feed you for a meal... but when you feel like talking to me... take the water and start talking... I'll be here..." Wayne opened the bottled water from the waiter while he opened it... and placed it in front of her.
Immediately, she drinks all the water... Wayne was shocked because he hadn't even opened his bottle but she was already down with one.
"Sorry... isn't it too rashy... why don't you take things easy" Wayne remove the bottled water from her hands... he stare at his own and was about to give it to her but he refused and hide his own
"I'm sorry... but things aren't well with me...Can you imagine... someone tried to have sex with me in my office and reported me to the CEO and the CEO kick me out of my office because I don't want to listen to him" She talks so fast that Wayne opens his mouth and couldn't get a word she said.
"I'm sorry...please go slow... I didn't get you and the only word I get is Sex and CEO" Wayne advised her to calm down and take things slow.
"someone reported me to the CEO as he tried to have sex with you and now the CEO kick me out of my office because I didn't want to listen to him." She commented slowly and Wayne was so dumbfounded as he kept staring at her.
Wayne was about to yell when she said Dean kicked her out but he looked around and found out that he was in a restaurant so he quickly maintained himself...
"That's rude... Just relax... don't worry... I and Dean are not on quite good terms and I don't know how to approach him but I'll try my best" Wayne kept on consoling her but suddenly she called on the waiter to offer them food.
"Oops... I told you I don't have cash... seriously... I'm broke and things are rough for me... " Wayne got scared as she ordered the food but she smiled at him.
"Don't worry... you'll have to wash the plate for them" she laughed and it seems funny but Wayne is already looking for the nearest exit.
"Seriously... why are you doing this to me now!" Wayne grumbled as the waiter placed the food on their table.
"I can't eat this... please take it away..." Wayne dragged the waiter, telling him to return the food.
"Don't worry... go... I'll be in charge of the bill" Mrs. Jane drove the waiter as she laughed.
"Why did you make me scared... you could have told me that you'll pay... I don't like being embarrassed..." Wayne opens the food and the first thing he does is to use his hands and collect the chicken.
"I'm sorry... I'm just trying to know the kind of man you are... " she smiled but the moment he saw Dean eating the chicken with his hand... she frowned...
"Stop it... we are in a public place... " The secretary scolded but Wayne kept eating his food until the secretary used her eyes and told him not to drop the chicken.
"Sorry" He dropped the chicken with force.
"Seriously... I didn't mean to spoil your mood right now... But... never mind..." I continued to eat my food but she stopped all of a sudden.
"Why are you keeping something from me...I thought we are friends now" Mrs. Jane stopped eating as he kept staring at Wayne.
"I'm just trying not to spoil your mood right now... Anyway... you ask for it... Our friend... named Golden feels ashamed of himself and he's scared now to look at you in the eyes... After that incident that very day... I noticed something happened but he didn't say a word to me... He confessed to us that he loves you and right now he can't look at you..." Wayne commented and she suddenly dropped her spoon and fork... ' I said it... I just ruined her day ' My inner thought whispered to me.
"I can see that he told you all that he loves me... I'm not mad at him... love someone isn't a crime but the problem is... why will he do such a thing in my office and besides, he should keep his love to himself... I don't feel anything for him" She folds her hand as the food waste and I feel ashamed to continue mine.
"Can I ask you for a favor?" Wayne asked as he covered his food with the stainless brought by the waiter.
"Yeah... Go ahead" she stretches her hand to me.
"According to you... we are friends now... so don't get upset... I'm not saying that you should fall in love with him but the favor I want from you is to say hi when the two of you passed each other... I'm not asking you to have feelings for him but I'm begging you... just try and say hello to him once in a while" Wayne requested while he wink his left eye at her.
"Honestly, I can't promise... But I'll try my best to" She placed her two hands right on the table...
"Can I also ask you a simple question?" She whispered while staring at Wayne.
"Yes... please" Wayne smiled at her... while he opened his food and continued to eat.
"Why is it that... the person we tend to love doesn't have feelings for us even if we tried our best to make the person have...he still sees us just as normal friends" Wayne was about to put food in his mouth but he suddenly paused and stared at her.
