Chapter 92

I was in motion while we were heading to the prison... if I didn't get there on time... I might not be able to accomplish my mission today.
Sabrina was scared seeing me for the first time, so serious and the same with my friends...
"Hey... we are here to see Mrs. Jane..." we walked up to one of the cops who was filling some files.
"Pardon!" She questions me after staring at us.
"Why are you pretending not to hear me now... we are here to see Mrs... Jane..." I almost yelled at her but was glad I didn't make use of the abusive words.
"I'm sorry sir... we just arrested her yesterday and only one person can see her... we are sorry!" She responded while dipping the file into her drawer.
"Are you insane... when did you publish this rule... bring your guideline now... I want to see it... what do you mean that only one of us can see her... do you know how many minutes drive it's taking us here... and you... you..." I yelled at her and at the same time pointed my finger at her.
"It's okay... you can go in" Sabrina tapped my back, begging me to lower my voice while Gold and Wayne headed back to the vehicle.
"Fine... where is she... And honey... don't think because you knew me better... you have to treat me like a mess... I'm not in your custody anymore so try to coordinate yourself..." I drew my face closer to her... while I whispered but she didn't reply to me.
"Follow me..." She requested and I followed her.
"Please wait here..." She pointed her hand toward a chair but as she was about to leave. I held her hand.
"I'm sorry if I yelled at you... I'm not in a good mood today... and I'll try not to do that again" I begged her but yet I'm not forgiven... She threw my hands away and walked into the prison.
"Oops... you came to see me... what a nice man!" She complimented me as she was about to make her sit.
"You never cared for me... but I'm doing that for you now... what did I tell you yesterday... Go hiding and I'll clear your name today... What happened? You're making this difficult for me" I made sure that no one was listening to us... even the guard behind her.
"I'm sorry... I was sold out by the woman who fed me... So what... is there any way to progress" She whispers back to me... The guard became more curious as he walked closer to us.
"Aigo... This is a difficult task now... I'm trying my best... I'll see if I can let you out but you don't have to put your hope in me... Hope you didn't get into a fight in there" I asked curiously because I knew what I passed through while I was in there.
"Damn... that place is more like hell... I got someone who gets me covered whenever I'm being attacked...Is that also what you passed through?" She asked but I only nodded my head without saying anything.
"Sorry for what I've caused in your life...My apologies" She placed her right hand in her heart while asking for forgiveness.
"I'm not here to forgive you... I'm thinking of how to remove you from this place... remember I took your money... and I don't like making promises... Now I made one" Jeffrey rubs his hands on his head in frustration...
"I'm sorry... you have suffered a lot because of me..." She drew her left hand and held me, telling me it was okay.
"It's okay right? after collecting your money... c'mon I'm not that type of person... I'll keep to my promise. don't worry... before the days run out, you'll be set free from this place" Jeffrey frowns at her while he keeps on rubbing his head with his hands.
' This woman hasn't called me... Damm... I guessed she has betrayed me again... and I can't refund this 3 million dollar... it'll go a long way in my life even for my friends... Oops... I need to think hard... ' my inner voice accompanied me while I was thinking how to rescue this woman...
My brain is so tight that I didn't have any idea... Jane kept talking to me but I wasn't even close to her.
"Jeffrey... what's wrong with you... do you know how long you have been talking to you..." Mrs. Jane yelled at me and it was what made me realize that someone was even close to me.
"I'm sorry... just lost... " exhaled out as I couldn't do anything.
"The cobs told me to round off....so..." she brings herself closer again...
"I'm sorry... I don't know what to do anymore and it feels like I can't help you... how am I going to return the 3million dollars to you or should I wait till after you're released... I don't honestly know what to do..." I pleaded for her forgiveness and the cops came standing at my back... making me feel uncomfortable.
"I'll be out soon... I believe" I can feel her heart heartbroken as tears roll down her eyes while they carry her away.
"Oops... I have made the biggest promise in my life... I'm so irritating" I'm heading back to my vehicle but saw that Sabrina was waiting for me.
"Hey... why is your face swollen... were you crying?" She asked me to give me napkins.
"You won't understand... but I wasn't crying... where are my friends..." I clean my face with the napkin and act as if everything was fine.
"They are in the vehicle..." she reply while we were going straight to them
"You can trust me... with what is going on because ever since you picked me up... things are not smooth with you but you tried to cover all of it even when you are not good at it..." She held my hands right as we were about to enter my car.
"I promise... I'll tell you everything but when I cool off....right now... I'm not bold enough" I pushed her hand away and walked to the driver's seat.
I look at the back seat... Gold and Wayne were there but they didn't say anything...
immediately as Sabrina entered the vehicle, I started the engine and was about to leave.
"I'm sorry... guys... there's something I need to do" I rushed down out of the vehicle while heading back to the prison.
Sabrina ran toward me and yelled at my friends to come too.
"Hey... madam... release Mrs. Jane... Haven't you gotten a call from Dean's mum? release her... there is somewhere I need to go... I'm in a hurry" I yelled at the cops but she was staring at me as if I was putting on a show.
"What's wrong with you... do I look like a dummy to you... release here... let me start going... please be fast..." I yelled again while my friends were staring at me and the cop also was just staring at me.
"Madam... what's wrong with you... do you think we came from our house to play with you... Are you insane or what....talk to us and let's leave the goddamn place" I was shocked to see that Sabrina who doesn't have an idea of what's going on... take my side as she shouts at the cop.
"We're sorry ma'am... but we didn't get a call from anybody and besides she was the one who asked her to lock her up" The cops concluded and a male cop was watching us from a distance.
"Dammit... Why did you make that story from... I was with her all through yesterday and I know when you arrested her and I know her reply... Do you mean I'll come here just to fool you?" I yelled again while walking around the prison in frustration and at the same time creating a scene.
"Jeffrey is okay... madam... sorry for the inconveniences... but my friends here are not in a good mood today... sorry for that but come to think of it... we won't come up here with a makeup story... you are not a kid to be fooled around... if you don't believe us... you can call her yourself..." Wayne walks up to her calmly as he whispers to Sabrina to calm Jeffrey down.
" I'm not in a position to call her and I'm not in a position to set her release... My colleague here was in charge of her case but she's not around right now... if you must make us attend to you... that means... you must wait for her to come" She also replied to Wayne and gold calmly while Sabrina took Jeffrey to a different place so he wouldn't hear our conversation.
"I understand you but what we are trying to say is that we are in a hurry and c'mon... we have created a scene here and I don't like it...Can you please make the call for us" Gold explains, then suddenly the man who has been watching us from distance came closer to us.
"Morning sir!" she salutes with her hands on her head and waits for him to say drop it before she does.
"Morning sir"
"Morning sir" Wayne and Gold greeted him...
Jeffrey was staring at us... immediately, he draws himself closer and promises Sabrina that he won't yell again.
"What happened? I have been watching you guys from a distance and you are disturbing the peace here" He was staring at us from head to toe and suddenly... Jeffrey jumps out of nowhere.
"Sorry for the disturbance... We apologize... the thing is that we have a meeting to attend and this lady in your custody is to come with us... Dean's mum and I discussed it last night and she asked me to go ahead... I'm explaining to your slave or whatever... she was looking at me like a dummy" Jeffrey provoked but didn't raise his voice... he just kept pointing at the lady.
"Sorry... None of my staff are slaves" The man responded and Jeffrey apologize.
"I know you somewhere... are you not the one that said... it was that lady that set you up... why are you helping her..." The man redirects the question to me.
"I don't want to help her either...But it's because of what we have to do today that makes me want to release her... please we're running out of time" Jeffrey checked his watch and complained that there is no time.
The man brought out his phone and dialed her number. Jeffrey holds his two hands together while prayings a secret prayer.
"Hello, ma'am... nice to hear your voice... this morning" The man smiled while making the phone call. It was as if he was happy this morning.
" I hope you are great... " She responded still using a beautiful tune...
"Yeah! There is a man here named... hmm..." He didn't know my name as all of us echoed it to him.
"Jeffrey... he said... you directed them to release Mrs. Jane... the woman who we captured yesterday" The phone was on loudspeaker... Jeffrey was so tense that his hands were joined together in prayer.
"Hmm... Jeffrey... " she breathed in and was silent for some minutes
"Hmm..." Things became suspicious as they all kept staring at Jeffrey.
"Yeah... I sent him... Don't worry... I'll see you when I come around" She replied and the way Jeffrey jumped into the prison got his friends worried.
"Set her things and release her immediately" the man ordered the cop and Dean kept on praising him...
"Jeffrey... was that all a show... you were not sent by the woman!" Wayne whispered to me but I was so happy that I had finally completed my mission.
"Yeah... I just wanted to try my luck... although we talked last night she didn't send me..." Jeffrey explained and saw the smile on Jane's face as she came out...
Jane was about to run to him but she stopped after noticing that Jeffrey was with his friends.
