Chapter 40

"I'm sorry... Mum! I don't know what came over me... I'm sorry mum... I promised... I'll never try something like this in my life... I'm a sorry mum!" I continued to cry as my tears dropped on my mum's shoulder as she hugged me while kneeling.
Jeffrey continues to cry as she uses her right hand consoling him not to cry anymore... The pain he feels seeing his mother visiting him in the station is unbearable and hard to control his Inner feelings.
"Son! The world is not over yet... So don't cry... you are not a kid anymore... the fact that you are here doesn't mean you are dead... since you are alive, you should be grateful for that... and don't worry... I'll definitely be seeing you and make you feel at home" She whispers to my ear as my tears continue to soak her close.
"Mum! You won't understand...Mum!"My mum brought out a napkin cleaning my tears while she went back to her chair.
"Don't worry... I don't need to understand but I know whatever you did, you did it for the right reason" She noted sitting on her chair while plastering a smile on her face which made Jeffrey awaken from the sadness.
"So... what happens... Jeffrey... don't tell me you can't tell me... because I'll beat you up right here" She laughed and was happy to see that Jeffrey has regained himself by chuckling.
"Mum! The thing... I'm tired of explaining today... my mouth has been running since I came here and what I need right now is rest..."Jeffrey was still smiling and happy seeing the smile on his mother's face... His inner voice keeps whispering to him to spend the entire day with his mum by his side but Jeffrey is tired and needs rest.
"Don't tell me that... don't worry...talk to me... I'll talk to the guard and I'll talk to that rich man to sort something out for you... don't worry... I'm a mother, I can give them sweet love but before I did that... please tell me exactly the truth on what's going on and why they took you...Someone came to me when I'm in the hospital saying, my son is involved in a kidnapping case but I know you don't do anything like that...I find it hard to believe until I hear from you... the lady even said it's announced on television..." She whispers to him as she places her hand, holding Jeffrey's hand while Jeffrey blinks with pain coming out from her mouth.
"Mum! What the lady says is true but I'm set up... it's finally over and I can accept my fate here in prison" Grief Rose in Jeffrey's heart as his hand trembled and goosebumps rose over him.
"I understand... but what happened..." His mother asked, still with painted tears in Jeffrey's eyes.
"What took them so long?" Dean yelled while waiting for them outside the station with Jennifer standing next to him.
"Why do you have to shout... Can't you talk gently or are you pissed we help his mother to see his son... You know... mother and son love is greater and this may be the last time they see each other so they have to spend the entire time together... let be patient and wait for her" Jennifer walks in front of Dean as she stares at him in the eyes, making Dean shy to stare back.
*Mum! There is this lady I'm in love with but she doesn't love me... so... we decided to kidnap her and elope from this country with you but unfortunately, you got sick and there is no way I can get the money from but to ask for ransom with the girl. After the ransom was paid, I delivered the girl back to where she belongs in this world and decided never to play a role in her life again... So the lady that set me up requested 70% but half of the money is your bill in the hospital... He asked me to pay but I don't have the 70% anymore and that's why he exposed me to the world. I'm a sorry mum! I don't know it will end this way" Tears continued to roll down his eyes as he was glaring at his mum's palm.
"You don't have to elope with a lady to fall in love with you... you know get it... love isn't by force but with the heart when both of you have the same feelings...back then... when I married your dad... I would say, he's the best man I have met in my life..." She sniffs cleaning the little drops from her eyes. " He was so nice to me and we travel around the world, enjoying our fun... he's so loving and passionate but I never knew all of what he did for me, he also did that to other ladies... you see...You don't have to rush to the conclusion... I was too desperate back then and now, I'm single but I'm glad I have you...maybe someday... your dad will regret all of that" She stood up after cleaning her tears as she stared toward the window while smiling.
"You see... that's how to love to start... so lovely and kind but we only pray it's last forever" she smiled while watching Jennifer and Dean as they had fun together before walking back to her seat.
"Fuck" Jeffrey murmured to himself while shaking his head as his mum called their name.
"Yeah! Also... I'm not blaming you because you did the right thing for your mother's sake...but please don't do something like this again... by the way, do you know where I can see that lady that set you up and beat him up" She smiled, showing Jeffrey her tiny muscles.
"Mum!. You know you are getting old... you don't need to do that" Jeffrey laughed out in silence.
"Com. on.. during my youth days... nobody messed with me and till now... nobody tried to step their foot in my house... And that is how you should stand... fight for what is yours but not the lady you are talking about...Do you have any idea where the lady is... don't worry... I won't make any trouble" She brings her sleeve down while staring at her son.
"Mum! I have no idea... she'll probably be out of the country right now... but don't worry... let me suffer for what I did... I won't die here... I promised..." He smiled back to his mum while winking his eye on her.
"No... problem... now... that... you have given me your words... I think it's getting late and I have been keeping those young couples waiting... so in respect of that... I think I have to go now...but don't worry... I'll try and do something for you" she stammered, thinking of what to say as she stood up in pain for leaving her son in the station.
"I'm sorry... my son... I'll come back for you... promised..." Jeffrey stood up as his mum back her, walking slowly, and was about to leave the room
"Mum!" Jeffrey rushed to her and hugged her as his mum hugged him tightly and was not willing to let go before tears rolled down both of their eyes.
"Bye mum" It was hard for Jeffrey to let go of his mum while crying heavily as his mum left the room.
Jeffrey felt pain as his leg became thick as his mum left him in the station... he felt pain as tears rolled down his eyes like a baby... He couldn't control his tears but let them out. He kept thinking about how to continue in this station with no friends and no one to talk to... At this moment, he realized the love from Madam shoe's daughter and his mother.
"Hello sir... your mum is gone so what are you still doing... I've been waiting for you" The inspector rush to me but I didn't even hear a word he say, just standing like a statue
"Jeffrey... let's go to your room... your mum is gone" The inspector yelled at me after tapping me in my ankle.
"Fuck...Do you have to shout that way... what wrong" I was about covering my two ears but my hands were handcuffed.
"You should have answered me the first time I called you... let's go" He commented as I followed him out of the visitor room.
"Sorry... I didn't know, you called my name..." I followed him as I saw many prisoners locked in a cell while striving to come out.
"Is this how they behave here... why the noise?" I asked the inspector but he laughed silently and didn't answer me... I followed him until he opened the door...
I looked inside, and I was glad, I'm alone... I look closely, the cell is messy and smelling everywhere but on the other hand... I was happy I'm alone here...I entered the cell smiling as the inspector whispered to me..." Don't worry...just stay here for a while... I will work something out for you" The inspector whimpered and left me alone.
Shortly, I heard the sound of a cracked neck twice as I became terrified and looked back slowly...I couldn't see anyone... I became relieved until the huge man stood up while talking toward me.
I became terrified because I'm sure I didn't see anyone here so where did this man come from... oh... it was dark.
"Have you been here?" I'm trembling as I walk gradually backward but no escape for me.
"(neck sight)( Finger sight)" The enormous man ambles close to me while I urinate on myself in anxiety.
