Chapter 98

"Mum! Are you serious... I can't believe I'm now the CEO of myself... Thank you, mum!" Dean jumped out in happiness before a call came on his phone.
"Why is Jeffrey calling me at this time... What did he have to say" He paused, staring at his phone as he rang.
"Picked up... maybe he also had some good news for you" my mum advised but I headed straight to my room... while I was going to my room, I saw Jennifer coming out of her room but we couldn't greet each other because she didn't see me.
"Hey man... how are you... it's been a while..." Dean exclaimed, jumping into his bed like a newborn kid.
"Yeah... Are you busy" Jeffrey asked.
"No! Just got back from work... What is the problem? Are you in trouble" Dean sit up because, with the way Jeffrey asked coldly, everything seems not fine
"Not really but can we see... I'm outside your house..." Dean stood up and looked through the window, he saw Jeffrey sitting on a chair outside with his phone in his ear.
He hangs up telling him as he heads down to meet him.
"Hey man... Must you come all the way here... you can talk to me, I'll drive in seconds..." He sat close to me and I pretended that everything was not fine.
"Man! I'm just coming from a meeting right now... and it was a success though... Can we take a walk" I stood up and gave him a canned beer as we walked straight to my vehicle.
"Whose vehicle is this?" he asked staring at me and opening the beer.
"It's mine... my dad gave it to me..." I smiled and opened the vehicle with my key.
"Everything is just quick for you... I know when I saw you last, you hired a vehicle and now, you have your own... Congrats man" I smiled at him and started the engine.
"How's your business today... I hope there is no problem!" I asked and at the same time drove to my destination.
"Today is a joy-filled day... I just got home and my mom handed the company to me... Man! I'm just so excited..." He smiled and I felt the joy burning in his body.
"That's good news but don't worry... there is a lot of good news and bad news that I have to tell you" I turned to him but his mood changed anyways.
"You are making me scared but please start with the bad news..." He drank beer while staring at me while I was driving.
"Bad news?" I murmured... " don't worry... when we get to our destination... I'll tell you all of it and that's the reason I came to your place..." I smiled at him but he refused to smile and rather wore a frown.
"C'mon... Are you saying anything... did I say something wrong" Dean was so serious that I even had to hit him but he refused to stare at me.
"Why is your so-called destination taking so long... I'm burning in here" He brought his hands outside the window and felt the breeze from outside.
"Here we are!" I found a way to park in a convenient space.
"Chinese restaurant! You know how crowded this place used to turn up and I thought we are here to discuss so why choose somewhere like this" Dean complained but I didn't reply to him. Rather, I walked into the restaurant.
"Hey man... bring us two bottles..." we sat in front of the man attending to the customer...
"You know when elders used to make a deal, Here is the kind of place they choose... you know why?" I stared at him and he shook his head.
"Because they like a conversation when both parties drink while discussing and that's what I want us to learn... we might be in such situations" The attendee brought the drink for us as he flipped it.
"C'mon... I know about these and they don't choose this kind of spot... c'mon... I can't even hear you because of the people around" Dean turned around while pointing his hands at the crowd.
"Anyway... why are we here... you have good news for me right" Dean sipped in a glass while having a taste of it.
"it's old" He confirmed that this place was made for people that age.
"Oh... yeah..." I dipped a piece of ice into my beer.
"you know why we're here... there is some news I want to tell you... " Dean kept staring at me like a dummy, I had to snap my fingers for him to look away.
"See... I went to this company later today... and I saw that they are lacking behind... so... I volunteered to buy the company... don't yell... please... the company is currently on a renovation right now and I've made the payment... I'm currently dealing with perfumes and photography...So... it's a huge success for me" I drank the beer and stared at Dean but he was wild open in shocked
"Seriously! Damn... Are you for real... That means you are rich...Wow! I'm so happy for you" Dean drew his mouth closer to mine as if he was about to kiss me but I snapped him back to reality.
"Yeah! It's funny right... but soon! I'll become rich... I guess... tomorrow, I'll still move to that company and change the brand name and also launch a new product to the market... I'll do my best" I couldn't control my joy as I ordered another bottle of beer.
"I'm so happy for you!" Dean hit me on my shoulder.
"Come..." I requested as he brought his ears closer to me.
I kept whispering to him and made sure that no one could hear us but his mood changed.
"I don't think I can do it... for now... I have a lot of things going on right now" Dean grumbles with a swollen face.
"Don't worry... I'll take care of it... just be there when I need you okay" I stood up and was about to leave but Dean held my hand...
"You said there is also bad news... What's it" He drew me closer and dragged me to sit back.
"C'mon... let's go...there is no bad news and besides, I got stuff to take care of... Don't worry..." I forced myself and forced him up.
"let's go" I held his hands as if I was helping him but it was him helping me since I'm almost drunk with just two bottles.
"Are you sure... you can drive?" Dean asked, stretching his hand but I gave him knocks and head straight to the steering.
"I'm not drunk okay... I'm just happy... by the way... I have something to tell you... " Dean joined me as I entered the vehicle.
"Yeah! I'm all yours" he was staring at me.
"Nevermind... I'll call you!" I look at him and later on start the vehicle.
"I don't like being in suspense..." Dean provokes as he stares at me but later on frowns his face.
"Ok fine... Do you know Mrs. Jane... she's back and please... don't get offended... she's a free woman now... just let her be... and I that the only promise I need from you... please... if you truly love my friends... let her be because they are currently working with her now" Dean turned to me and was about to raise his voice but as soon as he heard my friends... he froze.
"Oops... when did she come back and when did she become a free man... why am I just hearing this..." Dean lowered his voice.
"I'm begging you right now... she apologized to your mum and she forgave her so please do your part to forgive her" I apologize while driving him home.
"Fine... But honestly, I just feel not important because if I was, my mum could have told me before forgiving her... you know what that lady did to us right" Dean was still boiled up but I'm glad he didn't pour his anger on me.
"Calm yourself down okay...And don't do anything stupid when you got home" I stopped the vehicle right in front of their house and waves him goodbye.
"Fine... I won't..."He walks out of me with anger.
Unfortunately, Dean's mum was still in the sitting room watching the news.
"Dean, where are you coming from!" She turned her neck while glancing at him...
Dean wasn't in the mood to say anything to avoid yelling at his mum... he tried not answering her and was heading straight to his room
"My son! Am I not talking to you... where are you coming from..." The word kept hurting her since Dean was playing on deaf ears.
"Mum! I and Jeffrey went for a drink" he replied rudely without looking at his mum.
"Why are you so rude tonight... Did something happen on your way?" Dean's mum stood up and walked straight to me.
"Mum! I heard Jane is in town and you set her release... Why didn't you tell me" Dean tried hard to control himself not to tell her but he couldn't hide it anymore?
"Is that why you're angry at me... I guess Jeffrey told you... Let sit..." She tried persuading him to sit but I refused, trying to force myself to my room.
"Mum... I don't feel like talking to you right now... Please... I just want to rest my head... tomorrow is another big deal for me" Dean tried to pass through his mum but she refused to leave by the way.
"Ok...But if you are worried... Jane is not our enemy now... we should learn to spread love... like I said... I've changed... and I'm sorry if I'm setting her release to offend you" She commented and headed straight back to the sitting room where she rests for the night.

"Damn... it's Monday morning...Lord grant us this day. our daily bread" Jeffrey woke up smiling like the morning sun as he rushed to the bathroom.
He placed the MacLean toothpaste on this toothbrush as he brushed his teeth hard... After brushing, he shines his teeth in the mirror...
"Today is a bright day" He exclaimed and at the same time, took a shower...
After taking his shower, he brought out his cell phone and called his girl but unfortunately, she didn't even wait for it to ring before she picked up.
"Hey... morning sunshine" I can feel that her day is already bright as she called my name.
"How are you... I hope you slept well... " I commented, shining my brilliant teeth but too bad, she didn't see it.
"I'm all great... The night was also great... We discuss because your friend told you are you happy lately so I want to ask what is making you happy" She stood up from her bed while putting on a bedroom slipper and walks to the bathroom
"It's you, honey.... the minutes I think about you, the joy that arose in my heart" I started dressing up as I was ready to visit my own company.
"You must be kidding right... anyway... you don't want to tell me, fine... I won't ask you again... by the way... I'm running late for work... and before I forget... my mum asked of you... but don't worry, I told her you are doing just great" She keeps shining her teeth in the mirror after finishing brushing up
" Aww... that is so sweet and by the way... we are having a date tonight... I mean couples date just like the previous one.. don't worry.... tonight will be more interesting, compared to the last one... I'm expecting you... and also... I'll tell you what makes me happy" I was about to end the call but her voice made me stop.
"Aww... you just called me and fixed a date already... Wow! But anyway, I'll be there... even if my schedule is occupied" She smiled and did the same with me... before ending the call.
