"Rachel? I don't get it... and I don't believe you... She's rich and she has all the money! So why would she want to collect 6 million dollars for me? it's like you think we are joking here... stop accusing the innocent lady and talk about yourself so that we can negotiate with you..."Dean yelled at him as Jeffrey raised her head upwards while staring at him and at the same time, using his shoulder to clean the tears gathered in his eyes.
"Please... you weren't the one who asked me these questions, why don't you pave the way for me and Jennifer to talk... maybe you can stand where the inspector is standing... yeah... it'll be better this way... I can't be in a room when my opinion is invalid to you... so please leave" Jeffrey replied with boldness while pointing at the inspector with his head...
Dean provoked and was about to hit him but Jennifer stopped him and whispered to him to excuse them, it'll be better to gain a point. immediately, Dean left kicking the chair with his leg in anger.
"Better...You are a rich but nothing big man" Jeffrey yelled while throwing his saliva on the floor as Dean kicked the chair.
"I promised you... you'll rot in jail even if your point is valid" Dean yelled back at him in anger and slammed the door with force.
"It's okay... Jeffrey what is going on... I choose to trust you when your mother is sick, so why don't you trust me right now" Jennifer sat comfortably with her whispering voice while staring at the glasses.
"Hmm... it's nothing... Do you know Rachel... I'm guessing you'll know her... because she is the architect of this kidnapping... it sounds hard to believe because she has everything but she is more than a devil" He kept on hitting his two-finger as he replied with confidence.
"Yeah... I know her, I thought she was having an affair with Dean so back then, I was jealous..." She whispered again to him as the conversation went smoothly.
"Oh! You knew her so I guess you already know the reason we Carried this operation... honestly... it was never my idea" He clapped his hand looking towards the glass but unfortunately, he can't see the inspector and Dean.
"I still don't understand...Can you please make me understand" She continued to use her low tune whispering before she got a call from an unknown number? Jeffrey looks at the phone and smiles while using non-verbal means of communication to tell her to pick up.
"Hello... Please who" She picked up the call and was expecting a voice but the other person was quiet before she asked.
"Yeah... I was the one who sent you the video in respect of one of the kidnappers... I know you are doing great to catch him... and please, stay with your husband always... Jeffrey is dangerous" The other person responded while ending the call... Jennifer looked at the number and was shocked because the voice of the recording is quite different from her current voice.
"Yeah! It happens like that... different voice right" Jeffrey continued to smile as he kept nodding his head.
"It's alright... please tell me everything that you need to know concerning this case" The inspector and Dean kept staring at them from the window with their hands folded together.
"Hmm... I can tell you exactly what happened but I need a condition" Jeffrey drew his face closer while staring at Jennifer and Dean was about to interrupt their conversation but the inspector held him Captive.
"What condition..." She whispers looking in the inspector's direction but can't see them.
"I want to guarantee my safety and the same as my mum... as soon as all of this is over... I can leave this country in peace without seeing your face and that arrogant CEO... if you can do this for me... I promise to repay you, one way or the other" He talks with confidence while shining his teeth with a gazing smile on his face.
"Hmm... I can't promise you but I'll try my best to see what I can do... so can you please tell me all you know... I'll try my best to work things out for you" She commented and paused because a guard entered the room and offered them glasses of water.
"Fine... it all started the day I met you and Dean on the fountain... I was jealous because I'm in love with you but that was then and not anymore... So when I saw you guys, I felt my heart beating as fast as it usually beats but I controlled myself out of your sight...So..." Jennifer interrupted him while he was explaining.
"So... what makes the love for me die in you?" She interrupted and this speech made Dean angrier as he was tempted to get into the room.
"Fuck... What sort of question is this right now? Is it simple... I'm not rich, good handsome looking and even caring compared to that rich CEO... since the first day I saw you at the market when you were so kind to the CEO but to him, you were disgusting... I tried my best to get close to you but you never replied to my chat with you... I know I'm not funny but I was better than Dean in that aspect... I was shocked to see you working in the same company as me and the same office... I tried to use this advantage to get close to you but nothing works out between us... so... I figured it out that you are not meant for me but for the CEO" While Jeffrey was explaining... This looks like a romantic experiment right here in prison as the inspector stares at Dean but Dean was too shy at the moment.
"Yeah! That's the problem... I fell in love with Dean at the market and I figured it out he's the one for me and now we are together by God's grace but you were always cruel to me... every day I work with you, you always shout at me... so you expect me to fall in love with you?" She yelled out and Dean smiled while staring at them.
"That's not the reason we are here... let's get back to business" Jeffrey commented looking sideways, " I thought I was the only one spying at you guys but Rachel was also spying at you guys... she knows every move Dean makes because she was so in love with him but Dean never gives her a face back... The moment Dean steps out of his house, a spy accompanies Dean with a camera and she sees everything he does... So she uses me as I bait... the plan wasn't for Dean to bail you in ransom.... but the..." Jennifer yelled at him again as he was explaining.
"Then what the plan then" She yelled at him, making him feel uncomfortably explaining what was going on.
"If you do this one more time, I swear... I'll stop explaining" Jeffrey yelled back at her as he was already boiling In anger.
"I'm sorry" She whispers back to him.
"The plan was for me to elope with you to a different country... she always got the paperwork and this was never my intention of doing this until Dean stopped me from the company... So I decided to pay him back...So...as we succeeded in kidnapping you... my mother got sick and there's nowhere I can get the money from... and that was the reason I asked Dean to pay those amounts...and after that... I decide to let go of you and that is why I return you to him." His voice lowered, feeling guilty for everything he has done.
"Please continue".
" Wait... but one million dollars is different from 6 million dollars" She recalled and asked surprisedly and was shocked to see Jeffrey smile the moment she asked.
"My mum's bills are three million dollars and the reason why I ask for one million dollars is that you were already suspecting me... so I had to play a show for you not to suspect me... I'm sorry" He commented putting his head downwards.
"It's alright... continue" She commented.
"Rachel got mad at me for destroying her plan so she asked for her share of the money... I was shocked to see her ask even though she's rich already... I told her I'll give her her share when I finally settle my mum's bills but she refused... I tried persuading her but all of them were in vain... I was planning to leave this country with my mum but nowhere am I shocked in my mess... she gave me a day to send her 70% of the money since the idea was from her but the money is not up to 70% anymore and that why she exposed me" Jennifer was short in words while he was explaining.
" so?" She asked not knowing what to say...
