Chapter 18
Aemon's POV:
"Hey, you pieces of shit, can you get the hell out of here? I have to go home right now."
I wasn't planning on getting into a fight with these guys, but I didn't expect Heather to come. Those damn men were looking at her with that kind of look, and my wolf and I were furious.
The funny thing is that I was ready to make a move, and those from the team hesitated instead. They were so angry at my provocation that their features were twisted, but they hesitated to make a move.
"What a bunch of useless guys, get out of the way if you don't dare to do anything!" I stepped forward and pushed the man in front of me, ready to leave the place.
I'm not completely lying, my parents and I are going back to Busa Forest this week and I have to get rid of these people as soon as possible. If I don't do as I'm told, they'll keep coming after Heather.
"Heather, look, Aemon isn't as easy to bully as you think." I heard Edwyn say this to Heather.
"This hypocritical man must still hold a grudge against you for causing him to break his bones." Rick grumbled in my head. Suddenly, he raised his voice and issued a battle command, "Aemon, head to the left and give him an over-the-shoulder slam!"
After Rick's voice fell, Heather also shouted at me, "Aemon! Watch your back!"
At the same time Rick gave the command, my body already made the action and successfully avoided the attack behind me. I smoothly held the attacker's fist, took a half-step back with my right leg, and gave him an over-the-shoulder slam with the strength of my body.
The other three followed to attack me, and Rick had long ago predicted their battle trajectory, sending the best dodge and attack instructions in my head.
In a short while, these few losers were on the ground. I pulled out my handkerchief to wipe my hands stained with dirt, these humans do not know how long they have not bathed, covered with sticky sweat grease.
When I dropped my handkerchief and looked up, Heather and Edwyn were staring at me in surprise. I felt a sudden pang of nervousness, worried that they had seen who I was, and only kept a cold expression on my face.
"You guys, are you here to help me?" I looked at them indifferently.
Edwyn collected her surprised expression, looked at me uncomfortably, and explained, "Heather said someone was going to beat you up before she asked me to help, and I told her you weren't the one who would be bullied."
"Only a fool would stand and take a beating." I gave Edwyn a cold sweep and turned to Heather as I flashed a smile, "Thanks."
"It's okay, I wasn't much help." Heather whispered, biting her lip as she finished.
Her lips are pink, a little thick, and look softer and bouncier than jelly.
"No, you gave me the strength to fight back." I looked at her with a deep gaze.
"What?" Heather frowned slightly, looking at me blankly.
I suddenly didn't know how to explain, so I said, "It's nothing, I have to go, bye."
"Oh, okay." Heather responded with a lost voice, "Bye."
After saying goodbye to Heather, I quickly rushed back home. I thought my parents should be packed and waiting for me, but when I opened the door, I saw my father sitting on the couch watching TV and my mother busy in the kitchen.
"What's going on? Not going back to the forest?" I stood in the doorway with a bad feeling in my heart, probably because I smelled something else, "Who's here?"
"Can't you even smell your Mate?" Father's voice came over sarcastically.
"Why isn't Bonnie back with you?" My mother came out of the kitchen and looked behind me suspiciously, "Didn't she go looking for you?"
"What do you mean?" I looked at my mother with a frown, "You guys let Bonnie come to school to see me?"
"Yes, haven't you seen her?" The mother said worriedly, "Is the child lost?"
"Why didn't you guys tell me in advance?" I questioned my mother loudly, "She is a werewolf, a werewolf who lives in the forest for a long time, how dare you guys let her go out alone."
"Aemon, watch how you treat your mother!" My father barked in a deep voice and turned to point at me, "If you hadn't been unwilling to go back, Bonnie wouldn't have come to the city for you."
"You guys are so stubborn!" I gave them a stern look and turned to walk away quickly, my wolf sensing that Heather was in danger and the source of the danger was Bonnie.
"Gotta find a trail and get there fast, or Heather's screwed." Rick warned in my head, his tone rare serious and tense.
Reims had almost no trails, so I jumped on the roof and ran wildly above in my human form. Finally, I found Bonnie in a hidden alley, and she was completely unconcerned about revealing her identity, surprisingly lying there in the form of a wolf.
It was a reddish-brown she-wolf, which lurked in the darkness as if it was fused with the night. Only the brown eyes stared unblinkingly at the intersection.
Five hundred meters away, Heather was staring intently at the traffic light. When the green light came on, Bonnie stood up from the ground and shook the fur on her body, then leaned down and made a posture ready to attack, her eyes became sharp and ruthless.
"Bonnie!" I whispered her name, giving the order in a forceful manner, "No going out!"
Bonnie's body froze as my wolf squeezed her, otherwise she wouldn't have been so obedient. Bonnie's paws scraped harshly against the ground as Heather rode her bike past the alley, and surprisingly almost broke free.
I took one step closer to Bonnie and the smell of blood became stronger, coming from her body. I walked to Bonnie's side, who was completely immobile, and I went to the alleyway and glanced in the direction Heather had left.
Heather was far away and there was no smell of other wolves nearby. I returned to Bonnie and stared at her coldly; she hadn't yet taken human form. Even though I wasn't an Alpha yet, I was enough of a wolf to overpower her. When a wolf is suppressed, the suppression becomes less as soon as it takes human form.
Bonnie was already pinned to the ground, but still refused to take human form. She stared at me reluctantly with those brown eyes, a woman who was more stubborn than my parents, and I felt some headaches.
"You killed someone, Bonnie," I looked at her coldly, "The wolves will be exposed for your recklessness and you will become a sinner to the pack."
Bonnie blinked uneasily and seemed a little shaken.
"This is a human society with laws and rules, not our weak animal world, where killing people is held accountable, do you want to be sent to a lab for dissection by humans?" I continued.
Bonnie raised her chin slightly, her eyes contemptuous, she was not afraid of humans at all.
"Humans are scarier and more cruel than you think. They have armies, weapons, and advanced technology. If you defy your enemies, you will be defeated by them sooner or later." I said as I looked at Bonnie.
But Bonnie's attitude hasn't changed at all. I sighed, and that's why I don't like Bonnie. She's a stubborn and impulsive woman with little brains.
"Why are you sighing, Aemon, am I getting on your nerves?" Bonnie suddenly turned human and she stared at me with sultry eyes, wearing nothing.
"You've gotten me into a lot of trouble." I said seriously, "Let me take you back to the forest first."
"I'm not leaving here, I'm going to be your future Luna! Aemon, why didn't you come to me when you were in heat? Is it because of that bitch just now?" Bonnie asked in a heated tone, and if Rick hadn't held her down, she would have lunged at me.
"I have nothing to do with her, she's just a human." I said impatiently, "I don't belong to you either, Bonnie, I'm not your Mate, you know we don't have a sense of each other."
Bonnie looked at me hard, and after a moment, she stubbornly said, "But you and the others don't sense either, and I'm the best she-wolf in the pack for you."
I was silent for a moment and Bonnie asked incredulously, "Did you find Mate?"
"No, not yet." I said, dropping my eyelids.
I couldn't tell Bonnie that I had a special sense with Heather, I wasn't sure what it was yet, and Heather would become dangerous if Bonnie knew about it.
Bonnie breathed a sigh of relief as I raised my eyes and looked at her coldly, "But I'm not going to marry you either just because my parents think you're right for me. I don't like you, Bonnie, so don't waste your time on me."
"You're so cruel, Aemon!" Bonnie glared at me in shame, her chest heaving violently, "It's your parents' request, and you're going to defy them?"
"Don't use them to control me, no one can control me." I said.
"You come back with me first, the most important thing now is to deal with the trouble you've caused." I didn't want to argue with her again about this inconclusive matter.
