Chapter 31

Heather's POV:
"Who? Who is there?" I saw a blurry dark figure standing not far away.
I stared nervously at the dark shadow, not even daring to blink. I should get out of here as soon as possible, but my feet seem to be fixed as if I can't move, a symptom that only occurs when I'm extremely scared.
The black shadow and I were frozen in the dimness, and as I thought it was perhaps just the black shadow of an object, the black shadow suddenly moved and slowly approached me.
I finally got a good look at her and it was Tina. I was so relieved, I just thought it was a beast. But immediately I got nervous again, Tina is a woman more terrible than a beast.
"Tina, what are you doing here?" I asked, looking at her warily.
"Of course I came here to see the view, only I didn't expect you to be here too, what a pollution of the good air here." Tina said meanly.
I didn't want to argue with her unnecessarily and prepared to leave, but she came forward and pulled me, "What are you running so fast for? Didn't you get Aemon to threaten me? Why do you have to act so pathetic?"
"What did you say?" I looked at her in shock, I didn't think Aemon had really gone to Tina, I thought he was just comforting me. But now the truth is that Aemon not only went to Tina, but also managed to threaten her.
No one had ever defended me like this, and I was overflowing with excited and sweet emotions, wanting to find Aemon and confess to him immediately. I couldn't help but raise the corners of my mouth when I thought about it.
"Finally showing your true colors, what are you proud of? You're a hypocritical woman who has to pretend to be pathetic to please men!" Tina angrily pushed me to the ground.
"You useless piece of shit! Coward! The trash that no one wants!" Tina seemed to be drunk and I could smell the strong odor of alcohol on her. She rode me, beating me and hurling insults at me as she did so.
"Get up, Tina, get up off of me!" I screamed and dodged her attacks, struggling underneath her.
The alcoholic was extraordinarily strong, and I couldn't resist her, so I could only protect my face with my hands. But this action seems to have angered her again, she forcefully peeled away my hand, with sharp nails on my face scratching.
I was desperately thinking that I was really a loser, I didn't even have the strength to resist a girl.
Touching the tears on my face, Tina smiled fiercely and said, "Men are fascinated by this face of yours, then I will ruin your face and see what you use to seduce men in the future!"
With that, she suddenly took out a dinner knife from behind her and slashed it at my face.
"Resist! Resist her!" A strange voice suddenly rang in my ears; it wasn't English, but I could understand what it expressed.
I didn't have time to think about it. Before the knife came over, I grabbed the sand in my hand and sprinkled it into Tina's eyes. She cried out and raised her hand to rub her eyes, and I took the opportunity to punch her in the jaw.
I was actually surprised when my body made these moves, I really didn't think I would have the courage to fight back against Tina, and I did it very well, as if I had rehearsed it many times, but it was really a command from my head.
I didn't dare to stay here anymore and turned around to leave, Tina rushed up like crazy, "Damn, you dare to hit me, I'll kill you bitch!"
With a 'poof' sound, I felt a sharp pain coming from my stomach. I slowly lowered my head and saw the cold, shiny knife stuck in my body, and blood immediately soaked through the fabric.
"I... I didn't mean to." Tina's voice was panicked as she looked at me in horror and jerked her hand loose.
Tina swallowed hard, started to fall backwards slowly, then quickly turned and ran away.
"Don't go, Tina, help me ......" I fell to the ground and weakly sent a plea to her for help. I was shouting as hard as I could, but the sound I made was inaudible even to me.
The blood loss was so fast that I felt my vision gradually becoming a little blurry. I looked at Tina's back as she left, and all that was left in my heart was despair.
Suddenly, Tina stopped in her tracks, stood in place for a moment, and then turned around and walked towards me again. I felt a sudden surge of surprise, thinking she was coming back to save me. I bit my tongue as hard as I could, using the brief tingling sensation on the tip to stay awake.
Tina approached me step by step, and I noticed that her hands were still trembling, and her eyes were still dilated with fright. On top of that, her breathing was a little heavy, and her eyes were a little evasive as she looked at me, as if she didn't dare to meet my eyes.
I suddenly felt a deeper pang of unease.
"What are you doing ......" I inquired wordlessly, not even having the strength to make a sound, I could feel the sand beneath me stained with blood.
"It's not my fault, Heather, you brought this on yourself!" Tina said emotionally, her words coming out fast, "You shouldn't have come here, you shouldn't have seduced Edwyn and Aemon, you ruined my life!"
Tina whispered excitedly in my ear, her fear fading away, leaving only a look of ruthless determination. She walked to the top of my head, then reached out to hold my armpits and dragged me toward the sea.
I finally understood her intentions. Not only was she not going to save me, but she wanted to throw me into the sea as a way to cover up her crime. In her rough dragging, more blood flowed from the wound, and I did not have the slightest strength to resist, but could only stare at her fiercely.
The sea water wet my legs, and for some reason, my legs started to hurt. But I don't seem to be afraid of the sea anymore, I'm more afraid of death than the sea.
Tina kept dragging me off the beach, her body completely submerged in the sea before she let go, she finally gave me a hard push and then walked backwards towards the shore.
Pushed by Tina and the waves, I floated forward some more before I started to sink. The last image I saw was a silvery white moon, and then my vision was flooded by the sea water coming from all directions.
I prayed desperately and painfully that Aemon would have been nice to have by my side.
Aemon's POV:
When I hurried back to Busa Forest, I saw Vito and Bonnie vigilantly guarding a woman. bonnie saw me and immediately spread a smile and greeted me, "hey Aemon, you're finally back, I missed you so much."
"Wait, don't come near me, I've found my Mate," I dodged out of her hug and Bonnie pounced, but couldn't be bothered to get angry about it.
She stared at me in shock and disbelief, "That's impossible, she's just a human."
"Feelings don't lie, I know she belongs to me, and I belong to her, and only her scent attracts me."
I saw Bonnie's face turn somber and made a point of reminding her seriously, "Bonnie, don't you try to hurt my girl or I'll make you pay for it, my wolf can sense her safety status."
"Well, this is not the time to talk about it." Vito stepped forward and pulled his daughter behind him.
"Aemon, you interrogate this mermaid, she won't talk until she sees our leader. If her purpose in breaking in here is to test us, then we must be ready to fight."
