Chapter 59

Heather's POV:
By the way, how did it work out today, and why was that police commissioner so afraid of your father?
I suddenly remembered that I hadn't figured out the police department yet, and I didn't dare ask when Aemon's parents were around.
My father used to be an army general extraordinaire and led his team to win battles, so of course the police commissioner is afraid of him. Aemon said.
It's a good thing you didn't admit it today, they couldn't find any other evidence. My father came to bail us out again, and they had to let us go.
My God, and your father was in the human army, how did that happen? My eyes widened in surprise.
As long as he's careful he won't get caught. Aemon shrugged his shoulders and said, "My father has always been a very strict person, and he went into the human army to learn."
To learn their combat techniques as well as weaponry, and he didn't expect to end up as an admiral. Aemon said with a smile and an expression of a few moments of triumph.
Aemon, in this comparison, you are really inferior to your father. I deliberately joked.
Are you disliking me? Aemon sat up and looked at me with a serious frown, "But there is no more war, otherwise I would have gone, and I'm training every day ......"
Wait, Aemon, I'm kidding with you. I laughed and wrapped my arms around his neck, looking up to kiss his lips.
I let go of his lips and pressed them against his forehead and said, "I don't want you to go to war, then I won't see you, and I don't like war."
I thought you were questioning my abilities. Aemon said, "I'm no worse than my father."
No need to compare yourself to anyone, you don't need to be strong, just stay with me. I rubbed his forehead, "If your father has this connection, why did the police keep guarding you last time?"
I was talking about the case where the beast killed someone.
That time I told them I was going to solve the problem myself, and if I could pull it off, they couldn't force me to marry Bonnie anymore. Aemon said.
He paused for a moment and continued, "But I think he still helped me secretly, otherwise the police wouldn't have let me off easily."
So your father still listens to a soft heart. I said with a smile.
No, he was just worried that I had exposed our family's secret. Aemon shrugged his eyebrows, "He's a stubborn old man."
Hey, don't say that, you're a rebel. I nervously covered his mouth and glanced toward the door, "If I were your father, I'd be pissed at you."
So do you want to be my wife or father? Aemon looked at me with a smile and slipped his hand into my shirt.
Don't talk nonsense, be honest tonight. I grabbed his hand, "Werewolves have good hearing, don't they?"
Not so much, their rooms are on the first floor and my house is very well soundproofed. Aemon laughed pleasantly a few times, "But you should be tired today, let's just get some rest."
Aemon turned off the light and hugged me on the bed.
I did feel tired, but still couldn't sleep. Aemon's breathing became steady, and I quietly opened my eyes to survey his room.
Aemon's room was just like an ordinary boy's, but the furniture looked more upscale.
There were lots of hand-me-downs on the cupboards against the wall, a computer and several heavy books on the desk, and basketballs, baseball bats, and exercise equipment in the corner.
What's up? Want to talk some more? Aemon's voice rang in my ears again.
Why are you awake again? I said, surprised.
I want to sleep with you, actually I'm not sleepy yet either, we can talk again. Aemon said.
I turned to look at him, this time his eyes were fully open and they looked bright in the darkness.
Then let's talk some more. I rolled over and cuddled face to face with him.
Well, what do you want to talk about? Aemon gave me a kiss on the forehead.
Your family seems to be very rich, if my adoptive parents knew, they would be very happy. I said.
Mermaids should be richer, there are countless pearls at the bottom of the sea. Aemon said, "Do you want your adoptive parents to know?"
No, I don't want to see them anymore, I didn't have a happy childhood. I sounded a little downcast, an uncontrollable emotion.
Aemon hugged me tightly, "If only I could have met you earlier."
Well, let's not talk about that, go to sleep. I said.
Wait, Heather , I want to talk to you again about something else. Aemon shook my shoulder and said, "How about we think about where the wedding is going to be held?"
Hearing this topic, my mood immediately lifted, "Are we still going to have a wedding?"
Of course, all weddings will be held, and we want to make it the best. Aemon said, "Do you want to do it in the sea, or in the forest, or in the city?"
I'll have to think about that one. I said, "That's a difficult choice."
We could also have three weddings, and we're not short of money anyway. Aemon offered a suggestion.
That sounds like a good note. I said, "That way more people will know we're getting married."
Aemon and I talked about some other topics, all about our future, the ones where we could feel the happiness before we even started.
I forget when I fell asleep, I only remember that the corners of my mouth were up before I went to sleep.
