Chapter 32

Aemon's POV:
"What's going on?" I panicked a little, "What's wrong with her?"
"There's no sense anymore, I only sense that Heather is injured, but I can't sense her at all now." Rick's voice was also a bit flustered.
"Vito, I'm in a bit of a hurry right now and I have to leave first." I turned to Vito and explained, "You guys keep an eye on her first, and decide when I come back." After saying that, I hurriedly left the interrogation room.
At that moment, my cell phone suddenly rang. It was Bria calling. She thought Heather had come looking for me, and only after getting a negative answer from me did Bria tell Heather that she might be missing.
Before calling me, Bria and the hotel guards had searched the beach several times but found nothing, and now the worst but most likely scenario was that Heather had fallen into the sea.
If humans fall into the sea for so long, how much hope of survival? I just felt some difficulty in breathing all of a sudden, and I was so panicked that I didn't know what to do.
"Calm down, Aemon, Heather is alive." Rick said in my head, "I just can't sense her anymore for now, but this sense is not broken, only you can save her now."
"You're right, I need to calm down." I gritted my teeth hard. When I was ready to leave again, I suddenly thought of Heather if she really fell into the sea, the mermaid familiar with the sea environment might find her faster than me.
Thinking about it, I had to turn back to the interrogation room and come to Zoie again, "Zoie, my Mate might have fallen into the sea, and I need you to help me go down to the sea to find her. As long as you can help me find her, I will promise to help you find the mermaid princess."
Zoie didn't seem shocked that I would come back for her as she smiled, "Of course it's no problem, finding someone in the sea is easy for mermaids."
"You knew I'd be back?" I frowned at her.
"Yes, I'm sorry I used my prophetic powers on you." Zoie said honestly.
"So can you predict if my Mate is safe?" I asked nervously.
Zoie shook her head, "I can only make predictions about what will happen to the predicted person in the future within a certain time frame when I see his eyes."
"Okay, then you come with me first to find someone." I sighed in disappointment and prepared to untie her bracelet.
Vito suddenly came over and squeezed my hand, he gave Zoie a wary look and lowered his voice and said, "Aemon, think carefully. We haven't confirmed the truth of what she said, are you really going to let her go?"
I pushed Vito's hand away, looked at him and said seriously, "Don't worry, I've thought it through. I'll explain to my father and I'll take responsibility for anything that happens."
Vito's face was a little embarrassed, but I didn't have time to over-explain right now. I pushed Vito away, took Zoie away from the tribe and set off towards the beach where Heather had disappeared.
When I returned to that beach again, I smelled the blood that belonged to Heather, and I smelled it and went to the beach behind the hotel and found Bria walking towards the sea.
I was about to call out to her when Zoie, who had been following me, beat me to it: "Hey, Bria! My boy."
Bria immediately turned around and looked at us in surprise when she heard the voice. Not only Bria was surprised, I was also surprised, if I heard correctly, just now Zoie said Bria is her child?
Bria came running towards us and she hugged Zoie first, "Mom, what are you doing here?"
"The future young chief of the werewolf tribe asked me to help him find the girl he loves." Zoie looked over at me, "He promised me to help him find someone, and he would help us find the princess."
It was then that Bria looked at me and stared incredulously, "You're actually a werewolf?"
"Aren't you a mermaid too?" I asked her back.
"Do you guys know each other?" Zoie raised an eyebrow, clearly surprised as well.
After Zoie's explanation, I realized that Bria was also a mermaid who came to land to look for the princess, so she was just trying to go down to the sea to find Heather.
A sea breeze blew by and I smelled the heavy smell of blood again, seemingly on this very beach. As I followed this smell to the walk to a sand pit, I also smelled another pungent odor.
-- is the smell of perfume on Tina.
"Where did Tina go?" I turned my head to look at Bria, who happened to be looking at me as well and blinked a little awkwardly when she met my gaze.
"Tina?" froze Bria and frowned, "I almost forgot about her, she never seemed to show up when we were looking for her."
"I smell Heather's blood in here." I said, pointing to the sandpit, "and smelled Tina's scent, she must know where Heather is."
"You mean Tina hurt Heather and then hid her?" Bria raised her voice and said, "And can you smell where Heather is?"
"I can't, my nose isn't that good." I said helplessly, "But I will find her."
"Okay." Bria shrugged her shoulders, "So, do we go find Tina now?"
"No, Heather has most likely been pushed overboard." I said with a wrinkled brow, "But my wolf tells me she's still alive and we need to find her as soon as possible."
Because werewolves can't keep breathing underwater for long, we finally decided that Bria and her mother would go into the sea to look for Heather, while I went to Tina to ask for the truth in case she had hidden Heather elsewhere.
Before leaving, Bria suddenly called me aside and she asked in a low voice, "My mom said you asked her to help you find the girl you love, so the girl you love is Heather, right?"
I don't know why, but I suddenly felt my cheeks burning a little, but I didn't want to lie, so I just answered in a low voice, "Hmm."
"Heather would be happy to know, as to why I can't tell you." Bria smiled, "But I can tell you that she turned down Edwyn's confession."
Without waiting for my reaction, Bria was already gone.
It was only after Bria and Zoie turned into mermaids and swam away that I finally understood what Bria meant and subconsciously lifted the corners of my mouth.
After leaving the beach, I walked quickly towards the hotel and then met Edwyn in front of the hotel who was still dealing with the guards, he looked a little bit not in good spirits.
Upon seeing me, Edwyn immediately ran towards me. He picked me up by the collar again and asked angrily, "Bastard, did you hide Heather? Where did you hide her?"
"Edwyn, I'm agitated right now, and you better let go of me right now." I looked Edwyn in the eye and warned in a deep voice.
Edwyn's face turned red because he was so excited. After hearing my warning, he hesitated and finally didn't let go.
"I'm not afraid of you, Aemon, I'm not afraid of you!" Edwyn said, teeth chattering with excitement.
I turned my head and let out a breath, then raised my hand and gave Edwyn a punch. edwyn's face was twisted for a moment, his mouth was spit out, and his whole body flew out from in front of me.
I reckon he's going to have a full body fracture this time, but he's asking for it.
When I arrived at Tina's room, the woman was sleeping spread out on the bed, not even taking off her shoes. The room smelled disgustingly of alcohol and Heather's blood.
I searched the entire room and finally found the bloodied sand in the sink cabinet. The sand was in a plastic pocket, and when I opened the bag, I smelled the heavy scent of blood mixed with Heather's scent.
Surely it was this woman who hurt Heather.
I was so angry I wanted to bite the woman to death, but before I did that I needed to know how Heather was doing. I picked up a basin of cold water and walked over to the bed and threw it on Tina.
Tina woke up with a jolt. She was all fierce and about to curse, but changed her expression to one of horror when she saw me and the plastic bag I was holding.
"Why are you here?" She asked in a shaky voice, her eyes flickering.
"Where did Heather go?" I looked at her with icy eyes, "You better not be lying or I'll make sure you spend the rest of your days in a hospital bed."
"You can't do this to me, my mother won't let you go." Tina said excitedly, the tone of her voice changing.
"Go ahead and tell your mother, and your father for cheating on her, too." I said faintly, casually picked up the fruit knife placed on the table.
"Speak up!" I snapped, raising my voice, "Don't waste my time."
Tina shook with fear and burst into tears. I stepped forward and put the knife to her neck, "Come on, what did you do to Heather? Where is she now?"
"I, I was drunk, I didn't mean to do it." Tina cried, her body stiffening and not daring to move, only daring to roll her eyes.
"I'm asking you for the last time, what did you do to her? Where is she now?" My hand holding the hilt of the sword pressed down, and a red mark appeared on Tina's white neck at once.
"Don't do it! I'm begging you, I'll tell you right now." Tina's nose ran down with tears, "I accidentally stabbed Heather and she jumped on me herself ......"
"And what did you do to her after that?" I asked through clenched teeth, resisting the urge to kill her.
"I didn't want to kill her, but I was too scared and I pushed Heather into the ocean." Tina said in a shaky voice, and after she finished she cried out loud, "Aemon, please let me go, I know I was wrong."
"You go talk to the police." I raised the phone I was recording in my hand at her, "You better pray Heather is okay, or I'll make sure you pay the same price."
