Chapter 54

Heather's POV:
Bria and I were split up in the jail cell, and only the underwater creatures were allowed to visit us.
I was expecting Aemon to come to my rescue like a knight in a fairy tale, but after the golden scallop told me that Aemon and Noah were under siege, I just wanted them to leave safely and immediately.
So, I traded a piece of fish scale with the golden scallop and entrusted it to help me save Aemon. The golden scallop agreed to my commission and left, only to return to me again after the bottom of the sea was quiet again.
Aemon, how is he? I looked at it anxiously.
Not so good, he suffered a lot of injuries, but I can only heal mermaids. I sent him back to his territory, his people should heal him. The golden scallop said.
I was worried about Aemon's injuries, but couldn't do anything about it.
What about Noah? How is he doing? I asked the golden scallop.
He's hurt worse than Aemon, but Clemm has gotten the black scallops to treat him. He should be fine, right? He's Clemm's own son after all. The golden scallop said uncertainly.
Oh my god, you mustn't tell Bria, she'll be devastated. I said with a frown.
Okay, I won't say anything. Golden Scallop promised.
After the golden scallop left, I spent a long time in the jail again. There was no day or night in the water, and I don't know how long it was before Clemm suddenly moved me from the jail cell.
He looked so panicked that I realized it might be Aemon coming to rescue me, and I struggled desperately in his hands.
Clemm slapped me and grabbed my hair and threatened in a cold voice, "Bitch, behave yourself, do you want your friends and foster parents to bury you?"
I tilted my head up in response to his force and suddenly stared in shock as I saw Noah chaining Bria and my adoptive parents.
How could Noah be helping Clemm?
I looked closer again and found that Noah's eyes were a little lax and treated Bria with indifference.
I guess he must have been confused by Clemm or taken some kind of drug. I wasn't sure what was wrong with Noah and didn't dare to risk disobeying Clemm's order, so I had to follow him out of the jail.
But in fact we did not go far, Clemm took us to the closed space hidden on the prison, where it seems to be a control room.
Here I could see Aemon who had broken into the prison with his people, but I couldn't tell him where I was, my hands and feet were tied by Clemm.
Clemm opened the prison's mechanism, I could only tormentingly watch Aemon they broke in.
Luckily he was unharmed in the end, but half of his people were dead, and even if they found the place where they used to keep me, it was no use.
But I didn't expect Clemm, the abomination, to put a few mutated monsters there.
I finally met with Aemon, but there was a glass panel between us, and my mouth was sealed. Seeing Clemm trying to release the monsters, I could only struggle anxiously on the floor.
Gradually, the blood mist blurred the glass panel in front of me, and I used my face to wipe the glass, but I still couldn't see the battle below.
Listening to the wolf's miserable howl from below, I only felt a chill rise from the bottom of my heart, and despair invaded the bottom of my eyes.
Heather, you're so pathetic and stupid to use this pretty face to wipe the floor? Clemm laughed low twice and crouched down beside me.
He ripped the seal off my mouth and then pinched the tip of my jaw hard.
I stared hard at him, tears sliding uncontrollably from my eyes, "Clemm, I'm going to kill you! And then tear you up and throw you to the sharks!"
You can't threaten me in this state. Hand over the sea scales or I'll throw you down with those stinking dogs!
Then you can throw me down, I will not let you go even if I become a sea ghost. I said in a fierce voice.
Bitch, you're really stubborn! Clemm shook off my face with force and looked at me, "Then I'll trade you a deal, if you're willing to give me the sea scales, I'll help you fish out Aemon's body."
Even if there is only one bone left of him, I will give it back to you, how about this deal? Clemm showed a bright smile, as if she had given me a great favor.
Clemm must have said that on purpose, but I wavered. If Aemon was really dead, having a bone was better than nothing at all.
While I was still hesitating, there was a sudden loud bang from the glass panel underneath me, someone was banging on the glass!
Aemon! I shouted excitedly and my whole body fell to the ground as an even more violent banging sound came from the glass panel underneath me.
My heart was lifted and I stared nervously at the glass panel beneath me. clemm, on the other hand, frowned and looked warily at the banged glass panel.
Not dead yet? Clemm muttered with a gloomy face and hurriedly pressed a button, and all the blood stains on the glass plate suddenly disappeared.
Ah! I was terrified by what was stuck to my face, it was a bloody cheek, supposedly the face of a mutant mermaid.
After the shock I was left with nothing but despair, my heart fell from a high altitude in an instant, it wasn't Aemon who was knocking on the glass ......
No, it was Aemon!
I moved my eyes a little and finally saw Aemon hiding under that face.
He looked a bit of a mess, his clothes were torn down to a few strips of cloth, his bare skin was covered in dark red blood stains, but his eyes were dark and glowing, and he was thrusting his sword into the monster's head against the glass panel.
I know he's okay, he's going to be okay, because he's my hero.
The mutated mermaids all fell to the ground, with a number of wolf bodies among them. Except for Aemon, only Vito was still standing down there, and he had to hold her daughter because Bonnie had unfortunately had one of her legs bitten off.
How is it possible, these stinking dogs, that they are still alive. Clemm was so angry that his face was twisted and he was running out of tricks.
Aemon's expression was now like a ferocious beast, with red blood around his black pupils.
He was still banging on the glass panel and roared at Clemm, "Old bastard, give me back Heather!"
The glass panel, though thick, would sooner or later be shattered by Aemon, and Clemm was trembling with fear at Aemon's appearance, a look of horror spreading across his face.
Surrender, Clemm, you can't get away. I looked at him coldly.
Shut up, I still have you! Clemm drew a dagger to my neck and threatened Aemon, "Let me out of here or I'll let Heather die with me!"
His threat was effective, and Aemon stopped banging against the glass panel and stared nervously at Clemm.
You can't hurt Heather, and I'll tear you apart. Aemon said through clenched teeth.
I'd become Aemon's weak link, which wasn't something to be happy about, because I wanted to be his armor more than anything.
I had to find a way out of the mess I was in, I still had the sea scales didn't I?
But how to activate the power of the sea scale, I'm not quite sure yet, the first few times seemed to be when my life was in danger.
Now I can only gamble.
I glanced nervously down at Aemon and gave him a reassuring look.
I wasn't sure he'd understand what I meant, I just wanted him not to worry about me.
But I didn't have time to make sure Aemon understood. After I withdrew my eyes, I snapped back and bit Clemm's ear hard.
I used a lot of force, and my mouth filled with the sickening smell of blood, but I still didn't let go.
Clemm made a terrible howling sound in my ears, a sound that only made me feel good.
After the long training before, I could already quickly grasp the position of the sea scale in my body. It appeared in my hand just as I wanted to get it.
Clemm was completely enraged by me, and the dagger in her hand plunged viciously into my back.
