Chapter 62
Bria's POV:
Run, idiot, that's a shark! I pulled Noah and turned around and swam away quickly.
It was so scary, I saw a row of sharp, dense teeth in the shark's mouth, and my two sharp teeth were no match for his.
Noah also looked like he was in no hurry at all and asked me, "But can't you eat sharks?"
I had to drag him along to swim away, and the shark was getting closer and closer to us. Now I couldn't care less about saving face and told him straight out, "I was lying to you, if you don't swim faster, we'll all get chewed up by him!"
Ah! Noah looked at me in surprise, and then suddenly pulled me to swim forward quickly.
His speed was much faster than mine, and I could barely keep up with him, but he pulled me tightly so I wouldn't lose him.
But this is an adult white shark, much faster than us, the distance between us is getting closer and closer, the shark has almost bitten my tail. He was chasing after my tail, his mouth opening and closing, and I was about to cry from him.
Noah, come on, faster, he's going to bite my tail off! I said with a sobbing voice.
Because of my cries, Noah's speed slowed for a moment and the shark caught up with me completely. Half of my tail was in his mouth, but Noah's body was still out there.
If he let go of me now, he still had a chance to escape, and the shark might let him go for a while because he was eating me.
But after Noah turned his body to see what was in front of him, his eyes widened while pulling me outward with force.
He pulled me out in time, but because of the reaction force he took my place, the shark's teeth were about to fall, and he let go of my hand.
I stared in horror as my eyes caught a glimpse of a steel fork flying from a distance and then plunging into the white shark's mouth, which was stuck in his mouth.
Bria, pull Noah out! Mom's voice came from a short distance away.
I didn't have time to see where she was, but immediately followed her instructions and retook Noah's hand and pulled him out of the white shark's mouth.
A little later, or a little fatter Noah, and he wouldn't have made it out.
I pulled Noah toward Mom and ran, my hand clutching Noah tightly, tears rolling down from the corners of my eyes.
Mom took us home, and even though Noah said on the way that I had squeezed his hand, I didn't let go of him, and I ignored him even when he talked to me.
When we got home, Mom looked at me with a grim face, looking like she was going to teach me a lesson.
Wait, mom, before you lecture me, please give me some time. I said looking at my mom.
What? Mom frowned at me.
I turned around and slapped Noah hard, "I told you that you can't betray me again, why did you let go of my hand? You traitor!"
Oh my God, Bria what are you doing? Mom exclaimed, pulling me hard and reprimanding, "If Noah hadn't saved you, you would have been the one who just got eaten into the shark's mouth!"
I looked at Noah with fierce eyes and said stubbornly, "I don't care, he can't betray me anyway!"
He wasn't betraying you, he was saving you. Mom told me patiently.
Noah covered his face and did not say anything, nor did he cry, but just looked at me aggressively.
I don't know if the tears ran out of my eyes because my eyes were so wide and I threw myself into my mom's arms and cried out loud.
I heard my mom explain to Noah, "Don't be mad, Noah, she's just so scared of losing you."
I thought Mom was right, but I wouldn't admit it because I was still angry.
I'm not angry. Noah said, patting me carefully on the back and asking, "I'm sorry, Bria, can you forgive me one more time? I promise never to betray you again."
Then don't let go of my hand. I said squinting at him, my vision becoming a little blurry from the tears.
Okay, I won't let go. Noah gripped my hand hard.
Mom and Noah coaxed me together, and when I stopped crying, Mom's anger subsided.
Bria, it was really dangerous today, thank God you're okay.
You're in shock, so mom won't punish you for this, but you have to tell me honestly, how did Noah get here? Did you get him here? You went to the palace again ......
No, I didn't go, I didn't get him here. I interrupted my mother and said.
I found him myself, Dad killed Mom and I escaped. Noah said downcast.
What? Why did he kill Mellie? Mom asked in shock.
Because he was going to experiment on mermaids and my mom tried to stop him. Noah cried again.
Okay, Mom, you don't have to ask him. I looked at my mom unhappily.
Okay, you guys play together for a while and I'll go out and find you food. Mom said, and left the house again.
Don't be sad, come play with me for a while. I pulled Noah with me to play with the toys my mom used to bring me.
It was no fun to play with the toys alone, but now that I had Noah with me, I found the toys that had become obsolete so interesting.
I thought Noah could stay with me all the time, but not long after, my mom came back in a hurry, without anything in her hand.
Bria, pack your things, we have to get out of here as soon as possible. Mom said.
Oh, okay, I don't have anything to take with me, just take Noah with me. I stood up pulling Noah tightly.
Mom stopped her busy movement and looked at us with difficulty, she sighed and said to me, "We can't take Noah away, his dad is looking for him and we'll be found."
No, mom, I can't abandon Noah, I said, excited and about to cry again.
Noah stared at us blankly, his eyes round with pity, looking like he was about to be abandoned.
Listen, Bria, his father won't hurt him. Mom persuaded me, "We still have the task of finding the princess, we can't be found by Clemm."
I don't want to, then you can leave me here too. I said gamely, actually shaking with fear inside.
Mom might really choose to abandon me, sometimes I think the princess is more important in her heart than me.
Don't you talk nonsense, mommy will never abandon you. Mom said with a frown.
I cried out again, pulling Mom's with one hand and Noah with the other, "Mom, please, take Noah with you!"
Mom looked at me hesitantly, and suddenly, Noah broke my hand again and said, "You guys go, I'm not going."
Noah? I looked at him in surprise, "Are you going to betray me again?"
Come on, Bria, say goodbye to your friend. Mom said.
With my hand still up, I said to Noah, "One more chance, pull me and I'll take you or I'll never play with a traitor again."
Noah looked at my hand and never put his up, and I was pulled away by my mother.
My mother took me to land, and we mingled and lived in the city for many years, with my mother occasionally visiting the sea.
He told me Noah was safe, that he was Clemm's only son after all, and told me Noah was only there so I could leave safely.
But I still couldn't forgive him because I was still angry, and when my anger subsided, I couldn't resist going down to the sea to look for him.
This boy is so pathetic, although he is now the prince of the sea, but he has no freedom, his father forbids him to leave the bottom of the sea.
I often sneak some interesting things to him, he is not afraid of is a trap, I put anything in front of him he will pick up and take away.
I did this for several years, and on my eighteenth birthday, I put myself in front of him.
I held out my hand to him and said, "Let's give you one last chance, and this time hold on tight."
