Chapter 22
Heather's POV:
I only had time to close my eyes before I fell into the demon hole. How I wished God would come to my rescue, but no matter how sincere my heart was, I was still pulled into the pool by Tina.
"Poof!" That was the last sound I heard. The intimidating pool of water completely submerged me, my five senses were sealed, and my soul and body were imprisoned.
A sharp pain arose in my brain and I didn't know what to do because I couldn't even open my eyes. I was struggling unconsciously in the water, desperate and in pain.
When I was about to give up, my haphazardly waving hand was suddenly grabbed and my heart was beating fast. By this time my consciousness had blurred, I could not distinguish between reality and dream, and thought I had been caught by a sea monster and began to struggle violently.
The sea monster wrapped itself around my hand, and the thought of it dragging me deeper into the sea made me struggle even more.
"Heather! Heather! Catch me!" I heard a shout from a great distance, a voice that was somewhat familiar, reassuringly familiar.
But he was too far away from me, and I was in darkness before my eyes to determine the direction of the source of the voice.
"Hold on to me, don't let go, Heather!" the voice kept calling my name.
It told me not to let go, was it telling me to catch the sea monster? How is this possible!
This must be a trick of the sea monster, I struggled again. There was another "poof" in my ears, and my waist was wrapped around the sea monster, and I struggled like crazy.
Perhaps because I was struggling too hard, causing my body to jerk uncontrollably, but my waist was still being held tightly.
After a while, the sea monster wrapped around my waist and lifted upward, and the darkness before my eyes finally disappeared.
The moment I left the water, my legs hurt as if they were about to break, and the bones inside seemed to be changing in some way. Then, my ears perked up and many noisy sounds came pouring in.
I opened my eyes slowly and my vision became clearer than before. I saw Aemon's face. His black beard was wetly plastered to his temples, revealing his hard, handsome features.
"Aemon?" I looked at him weakly, "What are you doing here?"
"They're live-streaming you in the pool." Aemon said with a grim look on his face, "Who pushed you under the water?"
My body was still trembling in small increments, and when I heard Aemon's question, I subconsciously went to look for those who had just been there.
There were a lot of people standing in the swimming pool, and it seemed a little crowded with people who had come to see what was going on. The girls who had pushed me had already left, and only Tina remained.
She was glaring at me reluctantly when I met her gaze. I scrambled to withdraw my gaze and belatedly realized that I was being held by Aemon, and felt my face flush. I immediately tried to get off of Aemon, but my mind was dizzy and my body fell back limply.
Aemon followed my line of sight and looked at Tina. After noticing my movement, his hands on the side of his waist and thighs seemed to tighten.
"Hey, don't move around, you're all wet." Aemon said as he lowered his head and looked at me. He was so close to me that his burning breath spilled onto my face, and his voice was low and slow, like a magnet.
Although this physical reaction was somewhat inappropriate, I have to admit that my heart was beating fast and my skin was hot from the sweep of his breath. I didn't even dare to look into his eyes, but I couldn't resist the temptation to raise my head.
This distance allowed our breaths to entwine and I got a good look at Aemon's eyes. His eyes were really dark, like the thickest night, so dark they could swallow a person up. When he looked at me intently like that, it seemed like I was going to trap away.
"Tina was the one who pushed you under, wasn't she?"
Aemon's lips opened and closed in front of my eyes, and I reacted for a moment before I realized what he was saying, while remembering his last sentence, he had just said, "Your body is all wet ......"
I slowly looked down and felt the blood rush to my cheeks. I wore a white dress today, and the fabric became transparent after it was stained with water, and even the color of my underwear could be seen, which I think is why Aemon was holding me.
God, this is so humiliating!
I was as ashamed as if I had exposed my naked body to the public. Now whether I got off Aemon or let him continue to hold me, it was an ordeal for me, and I could only bury my head hard.
"Don't be shy, Heather. this is a swimming pool, no one will laugh at you even if you wear a bikini, and ......" Aemon reassured me in a joking tone, and after a pause, he continued with a smile. "And you've got a great body."
The second half of the sentence his voice was lowered, as if he was deliberately compelling, and his voice was interspersed with laughter.
"Okay, now I'm going to help you teach that woman a lesson, and I'll get you out of here." Aemon curbed his laughter and his voice became much more serious, and only then did I dare to look up and peek at him.
My eyes were still caught by him, he still had a little smile left at the corner of his mouth and looked at me with a very ...... unsure why, I think that look is best described as 'doting'.
The noisy chatter around me gradually stopped, and they all stared at Aemon, wondering what he was up to. I immediately felt a little nervous, Tina repeatedly looking for bullying me, my body seems to have resisted her, when close to her will shiver, she is more frightening than the sea.
"Don't go over there, Aemon, I want to get out of here." I gripped the fabric of Aemon's chest nervously, trembling uneasily.
Aemon stopped, I could feel his gaze landing on the top of my head, but didn't dare to look up again, so I had to plead in a low voice again, "Please, Aemon, take me out of here."
"Don't be afraid." Aemon's body temperature must be very high, he just went into the water to save me, and now his clothes are almost dry, and the temperature of the palm of his hand around me is also very high.
Strangely enough, the warmth of his palm seemed to seep into my skin and melt into my bloodstream, forming a warm current that ran through my body. This warmth dispersed my cold, I seemed less scared and my body stopped shivering.
Aemon did come to a stop in front of Tina, and I tilted my head toward Aemon's chest to avoid eye contact with Tina. But even so, I could feel Tina's poisonous glare.
That look seemed to do substantial damage, making me a little restless again.
"Ugly woman, put away your disgusting eyes!" Aemon's low voice rang out above my head, "Or else, be careful I'll gouge out your eyes."
I looked up at him in surprise. Aemon had never expressed his dislike for Tina so clearly, and he was probably the only person in school who dared to do that to Tina.
Tina also looked shocked, and I saw an exaggerated and comical expression on her face with my afterglow, and then I saw her raise her arms in anger.
"Watch out!" My heart pounded and I lifted my arms and wrapped them tightly around Aemon's neck.
My worries were superfluous, Aemon easily dodged Tina's attack even though she was holding me. tina's arm swung in the air, gritting her teeth in exasperation.
"How do you feel now?" Aemon ignored her and looked down and asked me.
I froze for a moment, understood what he meant, and was a bit overwhelmed: "I, I'm fine, just put me down."
Aemon carefully put me down, I stood with my hands clutching my chest, Aemon took off his black jacket and draped it over my shoulders, "Put on my clothes first and wait here for a while."
This dress of Aemon's was wide, and I lifted my hands onto Aemon's dress, just enough to cover the obviously colored underwear and panties. After setting me aside, Aemon walked back up to Tina and stared at her with oppressive intensity.
"Did you put Heather in the pool?" Aemon is a head taller than Tina, dropping his eyelids to question Tina's look looks very very imposing, the swimming pool is obviously much quieter.
Even though Aemon didn't look at me like that, I could see the danger hidden in its gaze, like a wild wolf ready to attack. Perhaps because their eyes were so similar, I suddenly thought of the big black wolf in the cedar forest.
I stared at them nervously and suddenly felt that Aemon had changed. Even though he still had a scruffy beard, I felt that he exuded a charming aura.
"I just wanted to see if she was lying, didn't she tell her teacher she had a phobia of the deep sea?" Tina looked at Aemon warily, but her tone was much weaker.
Aemon raised an eyebrow and looked at her with an expressionless face, "So did you get the results?"
"Of course, isn't she not dead? I think she's just lying ......" Tina said dismissively, but her voice trailed off, perhaps because Aemon's face was so gloomy.
"You mean Heather is not lying until she's dying, and your intention is to kill her, right?" Aemon questioned in a cold voice, his tone icy.
"Yes, I just want her dead! So what?" Tina eyebrows raised her hand to push Aemon, her face fierce, "F**u your shit! Get away from me!"
Aemon stood firmly in place, like a big mountain, completely unshaken. tina may not be convinced and went to push Aemon, but this time Aemon grabbed her wrist first.
"Bastard, let go of me! Do you know who my mother is?!" Tina struggled hard, threatening Aemon in a stern voice as she curled her fingers with her other hand to grab his face.
Then, a surprising scene appeared, Aemon pulled Tina's arm and threw, Tina was directly thrown into the air, and parabolic fall into the pool.
Everyone in the pool, including me, looked at the scene in shock, and those who had previously looked at Aemon with disdain now cast a frightened look at him.
Could anyone really be that strong? I guess they're all wondering that, because I'm wondering it too.
Tina can obviously swim, but perhaps because of the different ways to enter the water, she is in the water at this time wretched fluttering. And no one at the pool dared to go to the rescue, or they have not yet returned to their senses.
I deeply experienced the fear of being in the water, and do not want to really make a mess, or decided to persuade Aemon to pull her up.
Before I could walk over to her, Tina seemed to calm down. She emerged from the water, wiped her face, and gasped violently.
I breathed a sigh of relief, but a sound of entering the water came to my ears.
Aemon actually jumped again!
