Chapter 30
Tina's POV:
I didn't think Heather would dare to come to the party, I was so mad at this bitch, I hated this damn woman. If killing wasn't a crime, I would have killed her a long time ago.
On a happy note, I heard that this woman met a brown bear on the road and is now in a coma. She better just die and leave my Edwyn alone.
I thought so pleasantly and was ready to check on the woman's condition, only to be pulled out by a strange handsome man just as I stepped into the hotel lobby.
This man was tall and tall, and although I only liked Edwyn, I couldn't help but be moved by the other man's superior appearance and develop a slight crush on him.
I thought he was pulling me out because he had developed a crush on me, as I had, and that such rude behavior was actually charming, but I still preferred Edwyn, who I grew up with.
The man pulled me to the beach behind the hotel, which is a secluded place, I was thinking how to refuse him, when I looked up at him I found his eyes fierce and frightening, there was no hint of ambiguity in it, I could not help but be a little stunned, and a little scared.
He suddenly grabbed me by the neck and threatened me, and the words that came out contained this huge amount of information. My brain was confused but I understood one thing, this man was here for Heather.
This knowledge gave me a stronger emotion of jealousy and anger in fear, and I stared back at the man defiantly, who was not afraid of me at all, and even increased the force in his hands and began to threaten me with my life.
My throat was about to be strangled by him. Listening to his cold and familiar tone, I finally recognized his identity. But I still couldn't believe it. How did Aemon the stinker become like this?
I thought he must have said that to threaten me and was so angry that I wanted to send those indecent videos of Heather right away, but when I picked up my phone, I received a picture from an unknown number that turned out to be a picture of my father in bed with a strange woman.
I stared incredulously at the pictures on my phone, finally realizing that what Aemon said was true, and my fear of Aemon deepened as I felt anger at my father's cheating. This was a mysterious and scary man, and with him on Heather's side, there was no way I could deal with that bitch.
I returned to the hotel lost in thought, and the girl who came along to see the party suddenly pulled me in, saying that Edwyn might be confessing early. The fire of jealousy burned inside me, and I was so angry that I wanted to kill someone, but I couldn't do anything now because of Aemon's threat.
After a moment's hesitation, I decided to go check it out. When I arrived at the door, they were all quiet for a moment, Edwyn's best friend looking away sheepishly, and Bria glaring at me with a mischievous look in her eyes.
I knew why she was glaring at me like that; my smooth school life had been completely interrupted since Heather had come to school, and it seemed like everyone was out to fight me for her.
I glared disdainfully back at Bria, but didn't immediately barge in, knowing that would make Edwyn hate me even more. But I would never let them get happy, and even if they ended up together, I would still ruin their relationship.
I cursed in my mind that they could never be together, and with my ear pressed against the door panel I began to eavesdrop. They seemed to be arguing, and my curse took effect, but the next thing I knew, Edwyn was rejected.
Edwyn seems to be a different person, he lost his original gentlemanly demeanor and turned into a drunken man on the street with a humble courtship. heather's tone of voice in rejecting him was so firm that I thought there was no way they could be together. I had achieved my goal, but I was too happy to be jealous and still mad with envy.
Edwyn's affection was originally the most precious thing in my heart, but now Heather has rejected it without hesitation, making me feel that this affection is actually cheaper than a coin on the side of the road.
"Let go of me, Edwyn!" suddenly came Heather's shout from inside, and I stared in shock, completely surprised that Edwyn would force himself on Heather, something he used to loathe.
Edwyn's love is too humble and embarrassing, but I can't even get that kind of love. Edwyn seems to have sobered up a bit because of Bria's intrusion, and Heather takes the opportunity to run away from him and hide behind Bria.
"Bastard, go to hell!" Bria cursed angrily and stepped forward to slap Edwyn, a still trembling Heather stepped forward to pull her ready to leave.
"Hey, you fucking bitch, don't you dare hit him!" I rushed up to teach Bria a lesson, but Edwyn stepped forward and pulled me back.
"Don't go after it, I deserve to be beaten, I'm such an asshole!" Edwyn said bitterly, her eyes still looking at Heather's back as she left.
Edwyn's face gradually showed the red marks of the beating, but he just stood frozen in place as people around us looked at us sympathetically.
Yes, they were not only sympathizing with Edwyn, but also with me.
"Get out, all of you!" I roared at the men.
I shooed those who were watching out, and after closing the door, I went back to Edwyn again, wanting to stroke his wounded face.
"You go out too, Tina, I want some peace and quiet." Edwyn's voice was hoarse as he half leaned against the bed, his whole being radiating dishevelment.
It was all because of Heather, and because she came along, all of our lives were changed. I developed an even stronger resentment towards that bitch.
I had to leave the room in order to keep Edwyn from resenting me. Now it is almost dark, the way back will pass through a forest, because of the appearance of brown bears, although the party was cancelled, and people do not dare to go back at such times.
You can see that everyone is very excited, they don't care whether Edwyn's confession is successful or not, they just want to take this opportunity to have some fun. As a result, because Edwyn's confession failed, they could only put their fun thoughts away.
I was so upset. Why should this party only be for Heather? Why should so many of us have to suppress our happiness because of her? Thinking about it, I borrowed the venue of Edwyn's confession to hold a party, after all, it is a happy thing that they are not together.
In the evening, everyone was having a barbecue and dancing and partying on the beach, and Bria and Heather didn't go back, I saw them dining at the hotel restaurant.
While I was confirming the dishes with the chef, I saw Bria and Heather just finishing their meal and getting ready to leave. I couldn't help but stare at them for a few more moments when suddenly, Bria collided with the waitress and spilled soup all over her.
After a bit of hand-wringing, Bria and Heather spoke a bit, after which Bria hurriedly ran for the elevator while Heather turned and headed out of the restaurant and toward the beach behind the hotel.
"Ma'am? What do you think of this dish." I heard the chef call out to me, and only after Heather's back disappeared did I finally retrieve my eyes.
I looked at the menu in the direction of the chef's finger, but my mind was not on it. I don't know if it was because of the wine, but a crazy thought kept screaming in my head.
Heather's POV:
Thanks to Bria's arrival, I might not have been able to break free from Edwyn, but I didn't expect to see so many people outside the door, Tina among them, and I was trembling with fear that she might be angry with me for Edwyn's confession and send the video out.
Thankfully, Tina didn't do that, she just wanted to stand up for Edwyn. To avoid further escalation of the conflict, I hastily pulled Bria out of the place.
I always seem to run into a lot of trouble, and if it weren't for Bria and Aemon helping me, I'd probably be in hell by now. But I should be more independent and brave, after all, no one will always be by my side.
After leaving the hotel, Bria told me that Aemon was injured. I was even more desperate to find him, but we searched the entire beach without finding him, and his car was gone.
"He's not going home, is he?" Bria frowned and said, "Men are no good."
"Maybe he had something urgent to do." I couldn't help but defend Aemon, but I also felt a little lost and sad inside.
Because it was already dark, we had to stay here for the night. If it wasn't for Aemon, I would never have come to the beach party, and my mind has been very restless since I came here.
In the evening, Tina and the others were partying by the beach, and Bria and I dined in the hotel restaurant to avoid them. After the meal, Bria and I made an appointment to go for a walk along the beach.
Bria seems to love the ocean, but she hasn't had a good time this whole day in order to keep me company. And I'd like to go out again to look for Aemon.
But when we finished our meal, Bria accidentally collided with the waitress, and she asked me to wait on the beach while she went back to her room to change her clothes.
The beach in front was full of people, including Tina and Edwyn's friends. I didn't want to go over there and get into trouble, so I went to the less crowded beach behind the hotel.
I stood on the white sandy beach far from the ocean and sent a message to Bria telling her where I was. There was no light here, only the silvery white moon illuminating it. The moonlight spilled over the sea, making the surging waters appear deeper and luridly choppy in their silence.
But it is very quiet here, you can only hear the sound of the sea breeze blowing through your ears, which can calm your restless heart instantly.
Suddenly, I was acutely aware of a line of sight staring at me in the darkness.
