Chapter 29

Aemon's POV:
"How is it you? Where's the doctor?" I asked faintly, straightening up and leaving Heather's face, but she was still pulling at my coat and I had to sit on the edge of the bed.
Perhaps my attitude angered Edwyn, who suddenly ran up to me, pulled me by the collar and questioned, "Bastard, what did you just try to do to Heather?"
I looked at him fearlessly and said in a cold voice, "Didn't you see everything? I'm not obligated to answer your questions."
"Damn, you bastard!" Edwyn raises her fist at me.
This was no deterrent to me, Edwyn couldn't even fight. I raised my hand and grabbed his arm, saying disdainfully, "Edwyn, you'd better go home and practice, useless guy!"
Edwyn defied me and attacked me, but I caught him with both hands. I was about to taunt him some more when the phone rang.
It was my father on the phone. He said Vito had caught the Fae in the Busa Forest and wanted me to get back immediately. But before that, I have to help Heather solve a problem.
"Take care of Heather , useless guy, or you don't deserve to like her." I shrugged off Edwyn and hurried out of the room.
As I walked to the hotel lobby, I ran into the person I was looking for - Tina.
With Tina's surprised eyes, I dragged her out of the hotel and to the less crowded beach in the back.
"Who are you?" Tina frowned at me with an expression that didn't look like fear, and I even saw a bit of teasing in those eyes.
I reached out and grabbed her by the neck and threatened in a cold voice, "Listen, if you ever threaten Heather with another video , I'll publish the pictures of your father, Professor Roy, dating his lover, and you'll definitely be famous at school by then."
Hearing my words, Tina's expression really panicked, I coldly snorted disdainfully and continued, "You should know that your father relied on your mother's financial power to achieve his current position, if your mother's family knew about this, would you still be their favored little princess? Your mother's family should care more about their reputation."
"Don't you dare!" Tina glared at me fiercely, her eyes red.
"If you're not afraid, you can go and try." I looked at her indifferently, "But I have to remind you that if you really dare to do so, you may not even be able to save your life when the time comes." Saying that, I increased the force of my fingers.
"Got it ...... I got it!" Tina said with difficulty.
Tina immediately covered her neck and coughed, and I was about to leave when her hoarse voice came back behind me, "You, you're Aemon?"
"If your eyes were fine, you would have seen it already." I said sarcastically, "Remember what I just said and delete all those videos and photos. If you think I'm scaring you, I can send you the evidence of your father's cheating."
Heather's POV:
The second before I lost consciousness, I thought I saw the big black wolf, but how did he appear here?
I don't know how long I was out, but when I opened my eyes, I was lying in a strange room, and the only person in the room was Edwyn.
"You're finally awake, Heather!" said Edwyn, lunging towards me excitedly, "How are you feeling now?"
"I'm fine, where's Aemon?" I tilted my head slightly and looked around the room "Is he hurt?"
I don't know if it was just me, but when I mentioned Aemon, Edwyn's face was so ugly that even her features were slightly distorted.
"You don't have to worry about him, not only is he fine, he has the strength to do it to me." Edwyn said indignantly, I had never seen him so angry.
"Why would he do that to you, I thought you guys had become friends, didn't you tell him to come pick me up?" I asked, puzzled.
"I asked him to pick you up, but I didn't expect him to be like that."
"What's going on? What kind of conflict did you have?"
"This bastard, while you were unconscious, actually stole a kiss from you!" Edwyn's voice trembled with anger.
"What did you say?" I looked at him in shock, "You're saying Aemon stole a kiss from me?"
Why did Aemon kiss me secretly? Does he like me too? I couldn't help thinking that I was in an unusually excited mood, and if Aemon was really here right now, I might not be able to resist asking him.
"It's okay, don't be afraid." Edwyn may have misunderstood my emotions and was still reassuring me, "Thanks to me coming in time, I didn't let him get away with it and he didn't kiss you."
"I think you may have misunderstood, Aemon may not have that kind of intention, after all, I'm just an ordinary girl, there is no attraction anymore." I said with some loss.
Edwyn's answer didn't make me happy; in fact, I've kissed Aemon many times in my dreams. If he really kissed me, it would be a dream come true and I would probably fly with joy.
Hearing my answer, Edwyn suddenly became excited, and as he squeezed my shoulder, he said, "No, Heather, you have no idea how attractive you are, I was attracted to you the first time I saw you."
"But because of my cowardice, I have been afraid to admit my feelings, and that's why I tolerated Tina bullying you, which is something I regret very much. Another thing I regret is that I didn't go to see your match live, but when I saw the video of your match, I finally dared to face my love for you." Edwyn said fondly.
Finally, he asked, "Tina, will you be my girlfriend?"
I had predicted this day, and strangely enough, I was not sure if Aemon liked me, yet I could see Edwyn's heart for me long before he could even see it himself.
"I'm sorry, Edwyn, I can't give you a response." I looked at Edwyn apologetically.
Previously I agonized over how to be polite when I thought about refusing Edwyn's words, but when the moment actually came, I only had this short sentence.
Edwyn looked at me in dismay and asked, "Why?"
"Because I already have someone I like." I said.
"Who is that guy?" Edwyn asked with a pale face, "Do I really not have a chance? Does he like you? Like you more than I do?"
I pursed my lips helplessly and said with a frown, "Edwyn, I can't tell you who he is, but I'm not saying yes to you even if he doesn't like me."
Edwyn still looked at me uncomprehendingly, her brow furrowed, and the atmosphere in the room became somewhat depressing.
"I'm going out for a minute." I said to Edwyn, ready to get out of here.
"Wait! I got it!" Edwyn suddenly grabbed me and asked me excitedly, "You're going to Aemon right? It's him you like?"
Edwyn's hand was too hard and I frowned at him, "Edwyn, let go of me first, my hand is going to be twisted by you."
"No, you tell me, are you going to get him?" Edwyn's grip tightened, his eyes were red, and I thought I smelled some alcohol on him.
"Heather, I've got a big confession for you at the beach. Don't turn me down just yet, come with me and see it, will you?" Edwyn pleaded.
I shook my head helplessly, "Edwyn, you don't know me at all, you don't even know that I'm afraid of the sea."
Edwyn froze, but her hand didn't let go, "Why didn't you tell me earlier?"
"Because in my eyes, you're just a classmate who's still friendly to me." I frowned and said, "I don't have to tell that to my classmates, so just let go of me."
"I thought we were at least friends, but you just think of me as a classmate?" Edwyn looked at me incredulously.
"We can't be friends with Tina on your side." I looked at Edwyn and said faintly.
"Heather, if you're doing this because of Tina, I can stop hanging out with her in the future." Edwyn's eyes were red, "Just promise me you'll try with me, okay? I'll be good to you."
"No, you don't have to." I felt a little helpless, "Let's talk about it when you're a little more sober."
"No, Heather, don't you go!" Edwyn pulled me hard and I crashed into his arms, where he immediately held me tight, his lips grinding eagerly against my neck.
"Let go of me, Edwyn!" the sweat on my body stood up and I struggled in terror.
