DAMIEN POV

Drake finally allow me to take over when we got to my room. My wound heals quickly and dress in another shirt and trousers. I went to my beta and made sure he was fine. He shouldn't have intervene. I left for my office when I was sure he is fine.
When I got there i go through the paperwork left for me to check. After a few hours my gamma burst into my office I wanted to get mad at him but decided against it, there must be a reason for him to come in that way.
"We noticed your sister and the Luna isn't anywhere close to the pack. Seem they went shopping in the human world." He said as if it was a big deal."
"So, they went shopping? Is anything the problem?" I asked still concentrating on what i was doing.
"Rogues will be attacking a nearby pack close to that place," He said.
" What!" I screamed in shock. I quickly called Sofia but she wasn't picking up my calls. I tried again and again but she didn't pick up. I hope nothing is wrong. My wolf was damn restless. "I must not lose my mate again because of you." My wolf growled.
(FLASHBACK)
You have a meeting in City Y today, don't tell me you forgot about it," Daren my Beta reminded me.
" I am sorry I was busy with some things I forgot about it.
We got a tip that some humans were doing some research with the help of some great scientists which they can use in destroying us.
Since the death of our King, we haven't been friends with the humans. When the King died I was nineteen years old when the King was killed that was also the day I felt a connection with my mate. But not long I felt a strong pain in my heart signifying I just lost my mate. I was so devastated that I didn't leave my room for days. Thanks to my beta for making me stand up to my feet again. This will be a story for another by day.
After the incident with the help of a witch, we were able to cast a spell so that the human wouldn't be able to find us. Except we bring them here.
Surprised who gave us tip? Well there are wolves living here. They try to get informations so we know the next move of our enemies. They use the opportunity of living to study.
I was walking out of the restaurant after the meeting when a sweet vanilla scent hit my nose making my wolf getting agitated suddenly he made me walk to the direction of the sweet scent. But, why was this happening? The last time I felt this way was when I first had a connection with my mate not focusing on where my leg was taking me to someone hit me and I felt something hot pour on my stomach which made me hiss in pain. But that wasn't what made me shocked it was the fact that Drake my wolf was screaming mate in my head. What the heck I thought my mate was dead and the moon goddess only bless you with one mate all your life.
"Oh my God, are you okay? For fuck sake watch where you are going miss" Daren screamed at the girl making her fall to the ground. I went close to her but she keeps moving back still looking down. I was kind of surprised why she did that. I stretched my hands to caress her face but flinched covering her face away from me which kind of made my wolf feel bad.
"I am sorry I wasn't being watchful please forgive me, it won't repeat itself," she said with tears in her eyes he voice is angelic.
Before I could control Drake he took over and hugged her and say the word I thought I would never say.

But she stared at me confused, Wait, she isn't human is she. Drake asked me but I couldn't give him a reply.
"You meant what you just said?" Daren also asked
"Excuse me, but I don't understand you, I am not a possession so you can't own me, man, please I am sorry for not watching my steps," she said moving back. That was when it was done to me that my new mate is a human.
"Who are you?" I asked annoyed.
"Hello, you were the one who embraced me and now you ask who I am?" She asked. She thought I didn't hear her but I did loud and clear. I was still in shock.
"Well I will be on my way then," she said trying to walk away. But Drake immediately grabbed her hands and ask her if she felt anything?
"I didn't mister and please let me go," She said almost crying but Drake wasn't going to let her go he told me to take her home and let me take control. I pulled her and threw her over my shoulder, I knew she won't want to go with me but I have no choice since Drake won't allow his mate to leave. Once loose one he won't want to lose another again.
"What the heck? where are you taking me to?" She asked again but I ignored her. I quickly mind linked my driver to come here. When it pulled up I dropped her off and told her to get in the car but she didn't listen. I saw her hands move to her side. I sniff it and smell steel. She must have a pocket knife with her. Humans. Then I hold her hands and told her she was too slow. I told her to get in the car again but she still ignored me.
So I had no other choice than to pick her up and shove her inside the car roughly. I hate it when someone disrespects me.
Daren also got into the car and the car was locked, so she doesn't do anything stupid.
"What's your name", I asked resting my head on the car seat, I waited for a few seconds but didn't get any reply. It pissed me off.
"When I asked you a question, you reply I won't tolerate any disrespect from you," I growled she has been testing my patience.
"Take it easy with her Alpha she is new to these things," Daren's mind linked me but I didn't listen to him.
"What is your name?" I asked her again.
"My name is Selena," She said fearfully just what I want. I nodded and didn't say anything again. Not long I saw her dozing off. I used this opportunity to study her. She is very beautiful. She has long lashes plump pink lips, a paled skin. But something changed my mood she looks skinny and what is with the way she dresses we are in the summer period. Judging from the way she looks she is going to be a high school student.
When we got home I didn't want to wake her up so I lifted her but stopped when she opened her eyes.
"Leave me alone, I can walk myself," she said pouting her lip and trying to push me out of the way. But I didn't move a bit.
"If I were you I won't do that," I growled at her which kind of terrified her. I carried her and walk inside.
When I dropped her in the room I went straight to my office mind linking Sophia to go take care of her and should feed her, especially since she's too skinny for my liking.
NEXT DAY
I was having a call with another Alpha from a pack, he has been complaining about me not doing my job. They have been complaining of rogue attacks and want me to come to help them fight. Then I saw Sophia come with my so-called mate. It still doesn't seat with me that my mate is a human.
I told Sophia to leave.
And started questioning her seems she doesn't even know a single thing about wolves which kind of pissed me off. After a series of me scaring her and making her know she is too weak to be my mate.
That same day I was surprised to be called out by my Beta to come to see what happened to my gamma. I was shocked to see him bleeding. When I asked him he explained what happened. Before I knew it Drake took over and rushed towards the woods following her smell but there was a heavy downpour which made it very hard for me to find her. After walking in the wood for some time after the rain stopped. I heard someone whimper and immediately knows it was her. I forgot to change back from my wolf when she saw me she screamed so loud that she fainted.
I breathe in and carried her back to the pack.
I rushed her to My gamma's mate clinic and mind-linked Sophia that her new friend was in the clinic. I left for my office immediately.
ONE MONTH LATER
Getting back from my traveling I mind link Sophia and made her know I was back. I know she is going to tell her. I couldn't wait to meet her and see how much she improved. Andrew always updates me on every single thing that happened every day. I was so disappointed when I saw that she hasn't improved to my liking, I got mad and made her feel so lowly of herself.
Her bringing my mate made me angry but I was able to control my anger I lost it when she said. I should reject her. Drake got mad, he once lost a mate he couldn't allow that the second time so he took over by turning into my wolf form he bounce on top of her and was about to mark her. I tried to control him but couldn't he can't mark in his wolf form she could die. I was happy when Daren Wolf came and push us off her. It made Derek so mad that he fought with his best friend and Beta.
When Derek gets mad he kills I tried all my possible best to control him and take over but couldn't I was scared he was going to kill his Beta today. But, my gamma and sister rushed into the scene trying bro stop us. But Derek pounce on Andrew but stopped when we heard a scream from my mate.
"I am sorry please stop," which kind of brought Derek back to his sense. He turned to his mate and went close to her to my surprise I was expecting to move back but she didn't she was still standing there. Derek sniffed in her hair and that kind of calmed him down a bit.

PRESENT
I tried to mind link Sophia but I wasn't able to. Then I told the Gamma to call her, he did and she picked up immediately. Which kind of pissed me off was she avoiding my calls intentionally. When she said they were on their way here.
Derek couldn't just wait for his mate to come meet him. He took over and kept running in the woods to where he knows his mate is gonna pass by. Not long we heard a growl Derek sniffed in the air and smelt Zoe and our mate running towards the smell I saw a car turn over and Zoe fighting off five rogues from touching our mate.
Derek growled louder and run toward them angrily killing them mercilessly.
I mind linked Sophia and ask her where Selena was she quickly changed and ran towards to car I followed her and my breath stopped. There lie my mate with blood trickling down her face. I tried to wake my mate up but she wasn't responding, I continues calling her but she wasn't responding. Andrew's mind linked me and ask where I was I told him. He arrived there with a car immediately. So we quickly rushed her to the clinic.
