GUARDIAN ANGEL

"Mum, why the hell are you doing this?" Damien was hurt when he heard what his mum said.

"So we don't lose our generation you idiot, you are the last grey wolf. The pack is becoming weak since you haven't been doing your duties,"

"Mum! You don't want me to be with my mate, but you still mourn over yours?"

"Damien, that's exactly what I am preventing, your mate is too weak, what if something happened to her in the future? You would already be in love with her and won't be able to withhold the bond. Damien, I could withstand my bond with your dad because I am a witch."

"I also lost my mate mum! I was also in pain. The goddess blessed me with Selena for a reason." Damien screamed, wanting her to know that she wasn't the only one in grief.

"Goddess, Goddess, Goddess! What don't you just get it? Where was she when the werewolves needed her the most, almost all the werewolves lost their mate that day. And you still think there was a reason why she brought Selena to you?" She gave a very terrifying wicked laugh since Damien was used to her laugh. It didn't bother him a bit.

"She only blessed you with a second chance mate to ruin you all, you want me to start explaining every single detail to you," she yelled.

"Mum,"
"You are still young Damien, a lot is going on out there. Werewolves are planning on taking your position, rogues are out there planning to take you down. How about the vampires? What are you going to say about them, Hun? The humans are also there, what about other creatures you don't even know about. Who are making plans to eliminate you."

"You know about the vampires wanting to take over and you let them break through the boundary you created?"

"I just told you I have my reasons for doing so," Fiona bellowed, holding her forehead and going to sit on a chair in her room.

"Then let me know the reason, since this is my pack now, I need to know what…"
"I let them through because I wanted to know what their plan is," She retorted calmly now, stopping Damien from completing what he wanted to say.

"And what the hell is their plan?"
"Your mate," she answered smiling. She was relieved when she find out it was just about his mate.

"You don't seem too concerned about it because things will go according to your plan, if she is no more here right?"
"Damien…"
"Mum, I don't care whatever your explanation is, I won't reject my mate.
Damien said and left his mum, he went straight to his room. He was damn scared of losing his mate again.

Getting to his room, he met his mate sleeping in the arms of his sister who was so lost in thought that she didn't notice her brother was inside the room. She must have been so tired, she went through a lot the previous day, she couldn't sleep much, and it's morning already.

"Sophia," He called when he got close to her, bringing her back from her thoughts.

"When did you get here?... Never mind, Does mum accept Selena being your mate?" She asked softly so as not to wake Selena.

Damien gave a deep breath which kind of scared Sophie. He only does that when he is confused and couldn't give a satisfying answer.

"I am scared mum is going to do something to her If she doesn't like her. We both know she doesn't believe in mate bonds anymore ever since dad's demise."

"I am as disturbed as you right now, I don't want to harm mum, but if she does anything funny to Selena I don't think I can keep that promise." Sophia was shocked by how soft Damien was becoming and how he now cares for Selena. He now even shows his emotion and tells her how he feels. She never thought this day would ever come after the demise of his mate.

"Do you think you can win her?"They heard a low, chilly, voice say behind them, Making both of them shocked.
"Melissa, what the hell! How did you get into my room?" Damien solicited.

"Why don't you take her to the human world," She said again, not replying to Damien's question.

"What? She is not a human and won't be able to live there anymore," Sophia quickly responded.

"She's sleeping, stop saying thrash that will wake her up," Damien muttered, "I made her go into a deep sleep." She replied with an eye roll

"What the hell witch? Stop using your powers on her," Damien growled,not liking what he just heard from her.

"Take her to the human world and teach her all she needs to learn, she has been living there all her life so it will be much easier for her to adapt," Melissa explained, but she didn't get any response.
She looked and shifted back, when she saw Damien gaze, she could see his eyes already changed, implying his wolf was the one on the surface.

"I will do no such thing witch, she will be safer if she is with me." His wolf growled, he was scared to let his mate leave.

"You are becoming soft, that must explain why your mum doesn't want her for you." Melissa let out, she hasn't seen him reveal his feelings ever since she had known him.

"Why do you want her to go to the human world?" Sophia asked, stopping them from bickering one another.

"So to make the vampires believe she is a human."

"Are you crazy? They have seen Selena's face, they even have her picture from when she was still a teenager, and you still want me to let her go to the human world where I have no f**king control over. How about making them know she is a human? They will go after her knowing she is weak."

Damien couldn't agree with Melissa's opinion, he just started having a great bond with his mate.

"Seems the vampires already know too much, and I also don't trust that my sister won't hurt Selena if you refuse to make Alexandria your mate." Melissa let out again.

"So what the hell are you trying to say?"

"You will need to accept her proposal but you will keep postponing it till we know what Selena is."

"If we all know what Selena is, what is going to happen?" Sophia asked, irritated, not understanding what she was babbling about.

"The pack will have no choice but to accept her as the real Luna instead of the fake Luna you want to mark as yours, we all know werewolves value the gift bestowed by the moon goddess," Melissa explained calmly, not having her sneaky smile.

"What if mum finds out about our plan? And she forces him to mark Alexandria."

"I am a witch, remember what happened a few hours ago," Melissa said and looked toward Damien giving her witch laugh.

"You are gonna use another person in place of me?.... Why the hell are you even helping us?" Damien asked when he understood what she meant.

"I am the only one who can fight her, and also get this in your brains. I am only assisting you guys because I don't like that insatiable Alpha, so don't think I value you guys at all." She snarled.

"How about Selena who would help her in the human world? Mum won't allow me to go with her." Sophia mumbled sadly.

"Will you allow her to go alone?" Melissa implored with a raised eyebrow.

"No," Selena answered instantly, shocking herself. "Of course, no one will be able to stop you from doing so. Why do you think your powers are improving greatly these days?" She asked again.
This confused both siblings, they stared at her expecting her to give them answers.

"Because you are Selena guardian angel," she said and disappeared, leaving both of them staring at the place she was standing a second ago.
