SHE IS BACK

Damien sat on a stool close to his sister staring sadly and confused at her. She was lying on the bed looking pale. He just came back from his run and thought to stay with her a bit.

"When is she going to be awake?" Damien asked when he felt the presence of Mellisa behind him.

"I don't know when she will be up, I broke the spell two days ago,"  Melissa replied.

"I feel the vampires and humans are working together," Melissa voiced out again, making Damien turned to her. "What do you mean by that?" 

"They looked weird when I took them back to their residence. To check something I went back yesterday but I noticed they were not there. When I asked some humans who live close to them…." Melissa paused and stare at Damien to know how he was taking what she was explaining to him.

"Can you continue?" Damien let out with gritted teeth.

"They were confused and said they have never heard of them talk more of seeing their face," Melissa confessed.

"They might be the type that doesn't show their face to the world, you also saw the way Selena was the first time she got here." Damien saids

"I didn't tell you this but when you brought her to me to treat her. I was able to read her then and…" 

"What?"

"She…." She was cut short when she saw the way Sophia sprang up from the bed as if she had a nightmare. 


"What wrong Sophia?" Damien asked his sister worriedly, with their current conversation long forgotten.

"Selena? Where is Selena?" The first word she said was asking of Selena which kind of made Damien sad.


"She diss…."

"She is sad, she needs my help," Selena said again confusing the both of them.

"What do you mean…." They couldn't complete their sentence before Sophia disappeared from their presence.

[Mate is sad, I can feel her sadness.]

[We can only feel her pain if… oh my she shifted] Damien let out and before he could think twice he dashed out of the pack, Shifting his wolf form and bouncing into the deep forest.

Beep beep

She heard the sound which is now familiar to her as she opened her eyes. She didn't bother looking around, she knew she was in the packed clinic and she already perceived the scent. Her whole body was sore, she didn't even want to move from where she lay.

But there was something weird with how she felt. Even with how her whole body was sore she still felt sparks all over her body, she felt safe and also pleased with her environment.

"Flower?" She heard the familiar husky voice, the voice she has been wanting to see ever since she regained consciousness in the human world. In an instant she brushed him into a bone crunching hug, he looked startled at first because he wasn't expecting it. 

A few seconds later he regained himself and returned her embrace. 

"I miss you a lot," She cried out in a muffled sound. 

"I also miss you Flower," he replied, still hugging her. Serena wolf purred in satisfaction with her tail wagging happily. She has always longed for this.

Selena suddenly pushed Damien away making Serena and Derek whine, when they lost contact. "Why didn't you look for me?" She asked, hitting him on his chest...

Damien smiled seeing how she pouted her lips, he has missed this a lot, even if she left for just five days it looks like five years to him.


"I am sorry," Damien responded, he couldn't tell her he was looking for her, he wasn't the one who even saw her at first his sister did.


When his sister told him where she found Selena, he was mad. if the rogues weren't dead he would have made sure they have a painful death. "Why are you sorry... Don't tell me you didn't." 

"Of course, not Flower, I looked for you. I am only disappointed I wasn't the one who found you." 

"Really? But it doesn't matter I am fine thank goodness Sophia found me, she is my guardian angel anyways." Selena whispered with a pouty lip.

"You sure, you are fine?" Damien asked his mate, he knew she wasn't fine. Even if she has faced a harsh world all her life, she has never killed. He recalled how Melissa told him about what she found out about Selena when she was still unconscious.


~~~Few Hours Earlier~~~~~

"You were talking about Selena the other time, what was it?" Damien reminded Melissa.

She stared at Damien, surprised he still remembered that inspite of all happening right now. "It's about my mate, every single thing about her is important to me." Damien let out when he saw the way Melissa stared at him.

"Fine…." She gave a deep breath.

"You know she is your lost mate right?"

"Yeah, I know. I put things together and figured it out. She was never dead, the stuff given to her was containing wolfsbane and it made her wolf go unconscious… It explained the pain I felt." Damien explained stunning Melissa.

"Wow! I never knew you have that in you.." Melissa whispered, smiling.

"When I first saw her parents I was expecting them to have some kind of resemblance. But I didn't see any when I figured it all out." 

"But what I still don't get is how the hell she got to the human world. Her foster parents are humans."  

"I am guessing her parents knew about her not being human," Melissa revealed.

" What? But…"

"Don't you think it's weird, Selena smells of the human world, when I also went back to their residence the people living in that same street as them don't know them. When I read about Selena I found out she was abused by her parents."

"What? But they f**king…. Gosh you mean I left the fugitive behind my mate's scars!" Damien roared.

"Yeah! You did. I thought you were good at judging." Melissa said with shrugging shoulders. [That explains why I didn't feel good about them from the beginning.]

[Wow thanks for letting me know that, ] Damien replied with an eye roll.

"How do you think they got hold of Naferes? Recall about the picture of your mate sent when she was still ...."

"Enough," Damien said, he couldn't believe he missed all this, the whole culprits were before him and he let them go…

[Find everything concerning Williams and Jessica Daniels. From the human world] Of course, he didn't forget the faithful day she said the same of her parents, he never forgot a single thing she had told him. She was his after all.

[On it,d Alpha] Daren felt like asking the reason why he wanted to know about them. The Alpha doesn't like having any business with the humans, but thinking about it. It must be because of Luna.

~~~~PRESENT ~~~~

Selena has been trying to get the attention of her mate for some time now, but it hasn't been successful. Then she thought he might be having some conversation with the pack or maybe his wolf. 

"Damien talks to me, am I too boring to speak with? You asked if I was fine" Selena jerks Damien's arms annoyed. This got his attention and he turned to mate apologetically. Then he gave a genuine smile.

"If you don't want to talk to me then leave, I will be happier to be alone than to be with…" she stopped talking when she saw how he moved closer to her. "Wh… what are you do… doing?"  she stuttered. Damien didn't reply to her but kept shifting his face near her.

"Damien we are in the hospital," Serena murmured. 

Damien kissed the place he had marked her, "My mark is still there Flower, it means you are very important to me, you are mine and no one else. Every single thing you tell me is important." 

This melted Selena's heart. She was pleased with this. If someone had told her someone will tell her she is important, and she would laugh out crazily.

"Flower, you need to eat now, you look skinny?" Selena smiled at him. "I will only eat if you take me home?" She said, smiling cheekily.

"Flower," 

"Then I am not eating." Selena declared with her hands still folded on her chest.

"Fine... I will call the doctor to check on you," As if waiting for his order Smith bounced into the ward.


"Oh, my Smith,"

"Good day Luna, I hope you didn't miss me much. Because I can see that in your eyes."

"I miss you, but not like that of the way I missed him." Selena answers pointing to Damien. He let out a pleasing face when he heard this.


"That touches a spot though." Selena's smile disappeared when she heard his reply. They both noticed Selena's mood change.

"What is wrong?" Damien asked worriedly.

"Your voice seems familiar," Selena looked up to Smith.


"Yeah, my voice needs to sound familiar since we are fri…."

"Don't you dare complete that sentence," Damien growled.

"You are the dark figure who has been appearing to me since my birthday night," Selena let out glaring at Smith. She was giving him that look of don't you dare lie to me.

"Fine, yeah, I am the one. You are smarter than I thought." Smith whispered the last part but Damien heard him.

"I thought your wolf wasn't that powerful, woe that's great. My wolf is…" Damien clamps his hand on her mouth making the rest of the word come out in a muffled sound.

"I don't trust him, don't tell him anything concerning that.." Damien told his mate, glaring at Smith. 

"He knows all that already if he is the dark figure," Selena said innocently.

[It's fine Luna, we will talk about it later on.] Selena nodded her head eagerly. Damien didn't miss this little gesture she made, what he doesn't understand was that Smith could actually mind link his mate.

"She wants to leave the hospital, so she needs to  do some checkups before we leave." Even though Selena doesn't want to leave the hospital anymore, Damien wouldn't agree for her to stay there any longer. He doesn't like the way they both talk and laugh together, he wants his mate to always smile, laugh, and play with him alone.

"Alright Alpha." He answered and bowed, 

"Luna, how do you feel now?" He asked her immediately, switching his tone to the professional doctor he is.

"I feel all fuzzy..…" Selena looked up to see Smith still staring at her with a serious gaze. Then she went into details.

 "A little banging headache, my whole body feels sore, I feel exhausted and hungry, and I am damn tired of this smell," she murmured, pointing to the hospital environment.

"We need to watch you for some…." He stopped talking when he saw a glare on both of their faces.

"Then that is fine you can leave, I will prescribe some dosage for you, so you can take it after eating. I am sure the Alpha would take care of you." Smith told them and wrote some drugs on a sheet for them.
