SELENA POV
Ugh...my head hurts like hell, finally able to open my eyes, the light kind of blinded me for a few seconds before it finally adjust to it. I looked around my surrounding but it doesn't look familiar. Where am I? Everywhere was painted white.
My mouth. It's so sore. I taste... iron.
Then a man putting on a white jacket came to me, Miss thank goodness you are finally awake. Then he pulled out his hands from his white jacket showing me two fingers and moving them around I kept following the movement.
"If you can hear me blink your eyes once," he said again. I blink once. "Raise your right leg," he said again making me do so he repeated the same for the left and also my legs.
"Do you feel any sort of headache?" He asked again. I quickly nod my head.
"It's going to relieve you soon, it's still hurt because you hit it hard on the windscreen," he said. That made me recall every single that had happened, I rejecting the Alpha, Sophie convincing me to go shopping with her, and us driving back, trying to dodge a wolf swerving the car to the wrong side making us hit a tree. I haven't seen Sophie, oh my God Sophie I hope nothing happened to her. I began to get worried I wanted to ask the doctor but I couldn't. My throat is dried.
"Selena, oh my God I am happy you are awake," Sophie dash towards me hugging me tightly. I am also happy seeing her thank goodness nothing happened to her. " Can't breathe, "I said in a cracked voice. she is choking me up right now. "Oh I am sorry," she quickly released from the tight hug.
"I am so happy, you have been out for five days, and I got worried. The doctor also got me scared when they said it is a miracle you were still breathing." She said with tears falling from her eyes.
I wanted to say something but couldn't my throat felt dry and scratchy, I needed water I look around and saw a bottle of water sitting on a table close to the window. I pointed to it for Sophie to help me with it.
"Oh my bad I was supposed to give you something to drink," she rushed to the table and brought it back to me. I took a big gulp of water.
"How do you feel now?" She asked taking the bottle from me. "My head feels like someone is hitting a rod on it. It hurt like hell." I replied her.
"it will be better if you get her something to eat now, so she can take her dose soon to relieve her headache. Miss Selena thank you for regaining consciousness." The doctor said smiling at me. He is hot but not up to the Alpha. "Back to Earth Selena, "Sophia snaps her hands in front of my face to get my attention.
"Your face is damn red, you like that guy?" She asked smiling but suddenly her expression changed to that of a scowl. How the heck do they change expression in just a few seconds?
"But, you are my brother's mate I can't support the sudden likeness for that guy." She said with a grim face. The hell I didn't even say anything she is just assuming things. "I don't like him," I said half-truth to clear the tension suddenly growing here.
"Really, I thought I almost lost you to him," such a drama queen.
The door opened and I looked to see who came in, it was the beta and the Gamma coming inside with some other people bringing in a basket having food and fruits. Sophie pointed to a place for them to drop it they did and left immediately.
I was surprised the beta came to check up on me even after what happened between him and the Alpha.
"Thank goodness you're finally awake, now Sophia can let the whole hospital be at rest." The gamma said smiling it might mean nothing to them but it meant a lot to me she always does that anytime I go unconscious.
Speaking about that I'm beginning to turn the hospital to be my home now, this is the third time I've been in the hospital since I arrived at the park. Then I recalled the last event that happened with the Beta.
"I'm sorry for causing a rift between the Alpha and you, hope you find it somewhere in your heart to forgive me." I apologized looking down I couldn't look up to him.
"Ha ha ha it's ok Luna, you don't expect me to allow the Alpha hurt the Luna." He said with a small smile. For the first time,e I have gotten I kind of felt happy when he called me that, it feels right.
"Yeah, Luna she is our Alpha mate after all," The gamma said this time making me smile. I was glad they accepted me as their Luna.
She wanted to say but didn't.
I kind of feel bad that the Alpha didn't come, I am his mate he should be here to check on me. Though I am grateful to Selena and the rest for coming to check on me.
After the beta and gamma were sure I was okay they left Sophie and i to let us have our girly chats. Sophie made me have my food and also my dose.
"Selena why don't we play a game of twenty questions it's going to make us no more about ourselves we will ask a question each, you are not allowed to ask two questions in a roll," Sophie said showing me her beautiful smile and also a puppy face. How can I say no to this face?
"Fine, if you want that," I mumble.
"I will be starting first, how old are you?" She asked staring straight into my soul.
"I am nineteen years old and will be twenty in a week," I replied making her stare at me surprised. " Why didn't you tell me about that?" She asked again, then I reminded her it was against the rules of the game.
"How old are you?" I asked her the question which has been bothering my mind sometimes she acts like a kid while sometimes like an adult.
"I am thirty years old dear," she replied making me shocked. She looks nothing like thirty years old lady.
"It's my turn, when exactly is your birthday?" She asked.
It should be on Saturday," I replied.
"It's my turn now, how come you are thirty? You look nothing like thirty years old." I said still shocked about her years.
"I am a half-witch, so I don't age much, our growth is always slow, so that explains why I am so beautiful." She flips her hair as she talks.
"Why do you call me Sophie?" she asked making me Chuckle.
"It's fit you more, and also make me rest assured I am the only one who calls you that" I replied her grinning.
"Am I your first friend?" "Hmm, yeah you are my first real friend."
"What was your dream before coming here?" She asked suddenly serious.
"I don't know then but I have always wanted to study History and international studies if I ever get an opportunity to study in the college," I told her sincerely. She nods her head showing she understands me.
"Should I tell my brother about your dream? I am pretty sure he is going to allow you further your education."
"Nah, I am fine this way I don't want to be any kind of burden to you." I quickly declined.
"Did you attend a college or university?" I asked curiously.
"N,o I didn't, my brother wanted to make me go study but I didn't do so since it wasn't compulsory. You know my brother would allow me to do anything thing in this world except one thing." She said feeling down.
"You mean practicing sorcery? I asked her getting interested in what she said.
"Yeah, he kind of found out when you were unconscious,"
"What! You were practicing sorcery? Thought you said your brother doesn't want you to do so?" I screamed in shock.
" Yeah he doesn't but I want to." She said sadly. She must be sad she isn't allowed to do what she likes.
" How did he find out?" I asked again.
"I read his thought and said it out before I could stop myself." She whispered with an eye roll.
"Woah, you blew your cover yourself," I muttered.
"Yeah, I can be so stupid sometimes." She said making both of us laugh out.
We were still asking ourselves questions when an older man putting on a white coat come in.
Oh, good day Mr. Ryes," Sophie greets the man. He returned the greetings.
"Sophie would you please excuse us there are some talks I want to have with her privately." The man said making me suddenly tense. He must have seen my scars the same thing also happened with Jane when I first went to her clinic.
"Miss Selena, sorry for the inconvenience, but I need to understand this so I will go straight to the point." He said making me nod my telling him to go on.
"During a CT scan we saw you have a lot of broken bones in you, which have not been healed, if this chart was seen was about one of us here I would have not gotten confused, but you are a human." He paused still looking at me. Making me confused I still don't understand anything he is saying.
"What exactly are you trying to say?" I voiced out my thought.
"I have two questions here, how did you get those broken bones, and also how did you get the scars on your neck and leg?" He asked with a very serious expression.
"I already told Jane about how it happened, my job was a very strenuous job I get wounded most of the time. That was why I left there in the first place." I lied.
"This is an abuse and not just abuse I find out that some broken bones have been there for years. which means you started getting abused and injured since you were little."
"Abuse, who is being abused?" I heard someone ask we both looked in the direction of the voice who asked the question. There is stood the blues eye balls shinning brightly........
