"I am your nightmare," He answered, making worry creep down on Selena.

"How did you get here?" Selena asked, still shivering. She tried to open the door but it wasn't working. 

"Stay away from me!" Not having an escape route, Selena yelled, squatting and covering her face.

Sensing that Damien was close by he bent to the size of Selena. "See you soon scaredy-cat," he whispered into her ears and disappeared into the thin air.

 Just on cue, the door burst open pushing Selena out of the way. He rushed to his mate, hugging her as if she were going to disappear from him anytime soon. Still hugging her, he looked around to see if he could find anyone but didn't. He could perceive a strange scent in her room but doesn't know the source.

[Block out every single escape route now!] Damien told his gamma through his mind link, he was so furious. How the hell did they get in without any of the werewolves smelling them. 

"I am here now Flower, nothing is going to happen to you," Damien whispered, trying to make her relax. It didn't work at first because she was still trembling.

She began to come to her senses when she felt the familiar spark and scent that brought excitement to her. She looked up at Damien and hugged him now. Then she pointed in the direction of where the guest was standing a few seconds ago. He understands what she was trying to explain.

"Flower, there is no one here anymore." He whispered, caressing her hair.

"He.. said he… he is my nightmare. What does he mean by that?" She asked, still curling up in his arms.

"It's nothing flower, I will deal with it," Damien let out not wanting to get her worried. 

"He… said he is going to see me soon. Damien, he is a bad person right?" Selena asked, still shaking. Damien understands she has been in the human world all her life and just started adjusting to their world and would be scared to see another creature she hasn't seen in her life, especially when that creature just threatened her.

"I will take care of it, Flower. But I will be happy if you can describe the person you saw, anytime you feel like it." Damien mumbled, still carrying her hair.

[Alpha] Damien heard his gamma call him through the mind link. Damien did not like the way he interrupted him.

[Speak] he growled startling Selena a bit. But he quickly assured her nothing was wrong.

[The vampires escaped from the torture room, they are no more here.] With just these words Damien almost lost it, but he was able to control himself when he remembered his mate was right there in his arms.

[What the f**k are you talking about?] Damien manages to cool himself a bit. 

[A letter was left there, ] Andrew said again, still scared.

"Selena, there is something I need to do in the office, to be sure you are safe I will take you to my room and also ask Sophie to come to be with you." Damien, knowing he can't keep his cool anymore and also not wanting to frighten his mate, said.

With the way, he acts with his mate someone would think he wasn't angry. He was only trying to keep himself in check. Of all time he can't allow his mate to get scared of him now. The real reason why he is furious wasn't because of them escaping but because his mate isn't safe with them walking freely.

Just as if Sophie knew she would be mind link, she appeared before them rushing to Selena. [Take her to my room and be with her, the vampires escaped] Damien told his sister, making her eyes go wide.

[Dont make her get the idea that there is something wrong, make sure you make her happy. I don't know what I will do to you if something happens to her.] He said lifting Selena, who was oblivious to what was going on between the siblings.

[Says, the one who doesn't want to have anything to do with his mate because she's too weak.] Sophie, who wasn't the type to let things go, easily taunted her brother.

[Don't have the time for your shit now, I will deal with you later on] Damien replied looking at his mate now.

"Flower, pending the time I am not with you please don't leave my room or Sophie's side, okay?" 

Selena doesn't like the fact that she was being treated like a baby. Though it feels nice and comforting she wasn't used to it, so it's becoming frustrating to her. But she knew better not to go against his wishes, and also it was for her sake from the bad guy who appeared in her room. So she kept her opinion to herself and nodded her head.

"I would be with you soon," Damien said giving a genuine smile. Selena was also stunned he didn't complain about her not using words to reply to him.

[Tell some well-trained warriors to guard my room. When they are sure Selena is inside. She mustn't know she is been guarded.] Damien told the gamma as he left Sophie to take Selena up to his room.

Andrew was shocked when he heard Damien's order. No warrior has ever gone up to the Alpha floor, ever since he became an Alpha. [Alpha are you sure about this?] The gamma asked again to be sure of what he just heard.

[You seem to be questioning me too much these days] Damien growled.

[I am sorry Alpha] The gamma replied and Damien cut off the connection between them.

He knows Sophie might be mischievous but he trusts her to take care of his mate. After all, she has been the one doing so from the beginning. 

He knew she celebrated his mate's birthday. He was the one who got every single thing they used for the party. His sister has threatened him to do so, and also be present at the party. He would have been present if he wasn't needed in another pack that same day. 

He went in the direction of the torturing room, when the warriors saw the Alpha they begin to shiver in fear. They know what he was capable of doing. He won't blink before snapping their head off when he is angry.

"How the f**k did they escape without you guys knowing?" He roared. Making sweats rush down their faces.

"We… we don't know how they disappeared." They all bow trembling.

"Disappeared?" He asked, now thinking about it, how come he never met who was in Selena's room. Selena never knew how he came into her room, then it dawned on him that the person teleported. How the hell did he miss that? When Zyres healed Selena he told him there was something strange about her, but She never said anything, she is a witch and she won't miss something as important as that. Even his sister who just started practicing sorcery knew.

"Find that witch now if you don't want your head off!" He growled out, confusing the warriors. They all stare at one another not knowing who he was asking.

"Find Melissa now!" He growled dangerously….
