ARGUMENT

"What the f**k? Are you serious!" Damien asked, shocked with his mouth wide open. 

"Of course, I am serious Damien," Damien burst out into a boisterous laugh. Selena was amused by the sound of his laugh, it sounded like music in her ears. She has never heard him laugh this way, he just smiles or chuckles.  Seeing him laugh this way made her pleased.

Suddenly he stopped laughing and his face went back to his blank expression. "Do you know the meaning of what you just said?" Damien inquired, staring at her.


"Yes I do, I read it in a book,"  Selena replied innocently.

"Flower,"

"I am damn serious Damien, I truly know what it means," Selena muttered.

"Selena, there is no way I am doing what you want okay, now go to bed." Damien let out. Selena was amazed when she heard him call her name. He has never done so since they met, he has always called her flower. She loves how her name sounded from him, she suddenly prefers him calling her that way to calling her flower.

"So you don't want to make me yours right?" 

"It isn't what you are talking about I promise I want you to be mine, but I can't do so, what if my mum?"

"Mark me, and I will go live with my parents for the moment." 

"What? I can't do that and let you go, don't you get it? Our bond will get stronger if I mark you, it will hurt you if we are far from one another." 

"Then that would be…."

"If you keep talking I might lose it, now go to bed." He mumbled, not looking at her.

"Really? then it's better I keep talking," 

"Selena, go to bed now!"

Selena shifted in shock at the way Damien yelled at her, she went close to him and angrily pushed him till he got to the door, she opened the door and pushed him out.

"Go meet your new mate!" She yelled back slamming the door in his face.

"Wake up you little sleepy head," Selena heard the familiar voice she has been expecting ever since the previous night she quickly jumped off the bed, and Sophia shift back shocked at the way Celina jumped off the bed

"Yo! You never told me you were learning Karate from your dream," she mocked. But when she saw the expression on Selena's face she stopped smiling.

"Guess I am in trouble,"  Sophia whispered, recalling what happened the previous night.

"Oh yeah you are, Why the hell will you rat us out? I trusted you for heaven's sake!" Selena screamed.

"I  am sorry, I couldn't win against my mum, she was more powerful," Sophia muttered.

"What do you mean by that?" Selena asked, still glaring at Sophia.

"When I left your room the other night, I suddenly appeared before my mum. And I  guess she use powers on me and I revealed the whole plan, before I could warn Damien about it, she was already torturing Damien." Sophia confessed looking down embarrassed.

"I promised another plan to betray you, and about Damien, he only did that to protect you from her," Sophie explained.

It never surprised Selena when Sophia said Damien was being tortured, she has also gone through the same at the hands of her parent.

Selena saw how sincere she was when she explained. Selena then thought she was the one being paranoid, maybe the dark figure was wrong. She had been the one who has been taking care of her since she came to this pack.

She even used her powers to make their escape from the hands of rogues which affected her.

"Selena… Selena," Sophia called the girl who was already lost in her world. When she saw that calling her didn't get her attention, she tapped her, which worked.

"Oh… oh Sophie. What were you saying?" Selena who just got back from her world of thought asked confused.

"Like the hell? Did you even hear what I just explained to you?" Sophia snapped.

"Of course, I heard what you said, don't yell at me, I am still mad at you," Selena replied, annoyed.

"I am sorry, besides I used up my whole power to heal you yesterday without the help of Melissa," Sophia announced. Selena still didn't look at her, she folded her with her pouting lip trying to still keep her annoyed look.

"I promise I will learn how to not allow her powers to work on me, so are you going to forgive me?" Sophia said, tickling Selena. 

Selena tried to maintain her glare but couldn't hold it in any longer when Sophia continued tickling her. 

Damien has been in the room right from when Sophia started apologizing to his mate. He couldn't believe none of them noticed when he came in. When Selena was trying to look annoyed, he couldn't help but smile at her beauty. When she also busted into laughter he was mesmerized by the sound of her laugh. It sounds like music to his ears. He wishes she would continue laughing that way. He also noticed one thing about his mate, she has anger issues. He needs to get used to that.

He was still staring at them when Selena caught him, she suddenly rushed to him to embrace him, Derek purred in satisfaction when he sniffed his mate's scent. Unexpectedly Selena pushed him away, making him confused.

"I shouldn't hug you, I am mad at you," she mumbled.

"Oops, guess I am off the hook now, I will leave," Sophia said and was about to disappear, but stopped when Selena glared at her.

"He refused to mark me as his mate, since he rejected me he became far from me," Selena complained, her eyes becoming watery.

Sophia almost choked on her spit when she heard what Selena complained about. She saw the way Damien glared at her not to dare say anything stupid.

"Selena, I am not supposed to be in this conversation," Sophia whispered, giving Selena pleading eyes to let her go. But the annoyed Selena wasn't understanding the look given her.

"Why? You told me marking is just your mate biting you, and that which always makes me feel bad about Damien not marking me as his because he doesn't want me." Selena started crying now.

"See now I… I… it's true he even rejected me, if I had accepted his rejection that witch would have…." She couldn't complete her word because she is crying heavily now. [See asshole you are making our mate cry, don't you think it's better you do the needful] Derek snarled.

[Shut the f**k up] Damien snapped, he couldn't just mark her, he has his reasons. What if he marked her now and his mum did another stupid trick again? Selena would suffer greatly from pains, he couldn't let his mate go through any more pains. He knows she has gone through a lot, the scars on her body explain extensively. He knows she was abused, he just doesn't know who. If she had told him that person would be dead by now. He wanted her to trust him enough to tell him herself.

"See, he isn't even saying anything," Selena muttered. "Flower…" 

"Don't call me that, I am not yours anyway," Selena mumbled.

"I need to be somewhere, when I am back we will talk about this," Damien, who was speechless at the moment, looked for an excuse to leave his mate for now. [Help me with this] He mind linked his sister.

[Don't you dare leave, talk to her now, I just apologized to her] Sophia replied. Selena was staring at the both of them confused, she didn't know what was happening between them, but she had a feeling they were talking to one another.

[Sorry sis, ] Damien said and suddenly left the room, making Selena's mouth wide agape, she has always heard, that mate doesn't like their others sad she has always read how they are always sad when their other mate is sad. 


"Sophie, he left… he  couldn't even give me a specific…" 


"Selena he has his reason, why don't you give him sometimes also," Sophia explained.

"You know what? Why don't we go to Smith, remember we need to ask him some questions?"

"No, there won't be any more reason to meet him," Selena quickly cut in, she believes it will be best if she meets him alone.

"Why? Don't you want to meet him any longer?" Sophia asked, confused. She could recall how desperate Selena wanted to meet him.

"Nothing, I don't feel like meeting him anymore, it won't be necessary." 

"But…" 

"Sophie, I want to have a bath. I want to tour around the pack alone, I need to have a fresh breath and also know more places in the pack." 

"I can't, If my brother knows about me leaving you alone to wander around the pack alone, he is going to get mad." 

"I don't care, I want to be alone after I am done with my breakfast," Selena said curtly.

"Alright, if it's fine by you," Sophia replied. She turned and wanted to walk out of the door. But recalled she needed to tell Selena something to Selena.

"Well, your things have been moved to this room, since you no longer use your room."

"Wow, thanks for that,"  Sophia stared at her for some time before leaving.

Selena rushed to the closet happily, opening it she saw how her clothes were neatly arranged by the side, Damien's clothes were also by the other side, she took the clothes she wanted to put on that day. But a knee length gown got her attention, it was a baby pink gown. It was so beautiful that she couldn't take her eyes off it. For the first time, she decided to put on a knee length gown.

She has always put on trousers, and a top because she doesn't want people to see her scars. Since her scars are gone she thought it won't be that bad to try it on. She spread it on her bed and went to take her bath. 

She put on her dress and brushed her hair. When she was convinced she was okay. She decided to go choose a sandal to put on, but she saw a familiar box. She gasped when she saw the box. It was a box given to her by her grandma. She recalled her grandmother telling her to open the box when she is twenty. How the hell did she forget about this box?

She quickly opened the box, she was confused about what she saw there it was a letter and a bottle. Curiously, she took out the letter and read it. Only to be met with the shock of her life.
