HIS ARRIVAL
"Damien, you seem not to be teaching your sister manners, how can she disappear without any sort of respect? And how the hell can she disappear?" Fiona exclaimed.
"I don't know why that happened," Damien replied, not even looking up at his mum. To him, she just creates drama out of any little thing. He kind of has the feeling her disappearance was related to Selena and he knows if his mum finds out it was related to his mate she won't be pleased. So he decided not to say anything.
[Why in the world would you disappear in front of mum?] Damien asked his sister through the mind link.
[I didn't disappear intentionally, your mate made me do it] she replied irritated.
[You know you are in so much trouble right ?]
[Yeah I do that's why your mate will suffer for it too] She replied again.
[What the hell don't you…] Sophia already cut off their connections before he could complete his sentence. He gave a low growl at her disrespect, gaining the attention of his mum and some members, who stared at him confused.
"I lost my appetite, I will leave now," he said and stood from his chair. The other members did the same to show some respect including Alexandria and her parents. They all bowed as he left his seat. Only his mum was still in her seat.
He walked out of the dining room not sparing a glance at the people sitting.
Fiona wanted to know badly what was going on in his head but strangely she couldn't. It was kind of weird to her, before she went on her trip, she could read every single thing going on in the mind of her kids.
But since the appearance of Selena, a lot of things changed, and she couldn't let this happen. She also stood from the dining room leaving the room not spearing a glance at the people who quickly stood from chairs trying to show some respect.
When she was sure no one could see her, she gently cast a spell to take her to where her daughter was. She teleported and appeared before her daughter.
She saw Sophia stretch her for Selena who squealed before accepting her hands and they both disappeared alongside Sophia.
She couldn't believe what she was seeing, her daughter wasn't the type to make friends with just anyone. How the hell did this happen in just a few months of her absence? Fiona almost screamed in rage.
She tried to cast the spell to take her to where her daughter was one more time but she couldn't, she did it again and again but it failed. This made her confused. It has never happened to her before.
"Mum," She turned to him and used her powers on him. Since he wasn't expecting that he flew back to the wall hitting his head on the concrete wall. He grew in pain as he stood up.
"What the hell was that for Mum? You seem to be getting on my nerves these days." He mumbled. She heard him but didn't pay attention to what he said.
"How come my powers work on you but aren't working on Sophia?" She asked furiously.
"Why would I know that?" He replied annoyed as he rub his head
"Hold on, don't tell me she has started practicing sorcery?" She asked glaring at Damien. "Yeah, she is, "Damien answered.
Then it all came to her understanding, she recalled seeing our daughter disappear from the dining room and she also teleported from there along with Selena.
"And you're just telling me this?" She screeched.
"It isn't my fault she started practicing sorcery. Hold on, don't tell me you didn't know about this? I thought you knew every single thing going on in the pack?" Damien gave a mocking laugh.
"You couldn't even protect your sister from practicing sorcery? What if her mate's bond starts affecting her?" She yelled.
"Mum, she has been doing it for some time now, nothing happened. She is perfectly fine. She also loves it. Even when I killed her mate, she didn't hold a grudge against me. Don't you think she's old and strong enough to make her own decision?" Damien asked, annoyed. He was so damn tired of his mum trying to control their life.
"Are you crazy? Did your mate blind you so much to see the real her? She has really bewitched you all. I can't believe this!" Fiona bellowed leaving Damien who couldn't help but keep his confused expression on.
[Don't you think she's going too far controlling you both?] Derek whispered
[I don't know Derek]
[I can't believe you still see her as a mother despite what she has done to you] Derek snorted
[She is your mum too, you know?]
[She is a pure witch, she can't be my mother,] Derek snarled.
[I keep wondering when you are going to accept her as your mum.]
[I am also still wondering how foolish you can be] He growled and cut went to the back of his mind not saying any more thing. Before Damien could reply.
He sighed when he felt his Wolf stop talking to him.
They always fight when they have this discussion. His wolf always says she can't be his mum since she is a witch. He still doesn't understand why he doesn't like her.
"You are still worried about your so called mate feelings even when your mum doesn't agree with the both of you together?" Damien heard the voice of the person he doesn't want to hear right now. He could also feel his wolf anger.
"Get the f*** out of my presence It's beginning to irk me," Damien said calmly, not wanting to let his anger take over him.
"As a best friend, that kind of hurt a place in my heart. I never expected that from you," she said again.
"Point of correction, you are not his best friend, I am," They both turned to look in the direction they heard the familiar voice join them.
"Daren, the heck you didn't even tell…."
"You asked me not to say a word till I am done with the so called stupid plan you sent me without even knowing the full plan. I am still not forgiving you for that." Daren wasn't the type who showed the respect that much to Damien.
"Daren…"
"That is such a big blow to my ego, I can't believe I need to take orders from a stupid ordinary warrior. I am never taking over your leftover job again," he said, irritated.
"That is enough disrespect from you," Damien growled. But it didn't change the beta angry look.
"What are you doing here? Alexandria." He asked, turning to her now not glancing at Damien anymore. He has never liked Alexandria ever since they were kids, she also doesn't like him so the feelings are mutual.
"You should show some respect, a lot of things changed when you were not around. So before uttering a thrash try to know what is going on." Alexandria said.
This didn't sit well with Daren. He looked at Damien, "What is she talking about? Like hell! Where is Luna?" Daren asked, giving Damien a deadly look.
"Calm your ass down. She is fine. She is currently with Sophia but I don't know where they went." Damien answered. Hearing this, his expression changed back to his blank expression.
"So what is she talking about? What rules changed?" He asked again.
"News flash I will be your Luna soon, so mind the speech you use with me." She said, smirking.
"What the f*** does that mean Damien? What the hell is she talking about? He growled with a balled fist trying to keep his anger in check. He didn't even remember to use the title.
If Derek agreed with their decision, he would have given Daren a punch at what you just did. He wasn't the type who takes disrespect easily.
One thing he also liked about the beta was that, even if Damien is the alpha King he put him right when he is wrong. He has never been scared of him ever since they were kids.
"Daren it also came as a shock to me, Mum made the arrangements. So you know I couldn't have much say in it." Damien explained.
"The Luna has arrived. I thought it would be in a month," Daren asked, shocked by the revelation.
"Yes she is back, are you having trouble with that?"
"What about the Luna?" Daren asked again.
"She wants me to reject her,"
"You know you cannot reject her right? You brought her here and want to reject her now and also go against the moon goddess' wish?" Daren asked.
"Daren, I never expected mum to take that decision, damn it! I didn't even expect her to arrive so soon," Suddenly he felt a harsh pain in his heart.
[Mate is in pain.]
