Training sessions were cancelled today because the Alpha wanted everybody to prepare for the events in the evening. He had clearly ordered everyone to rest before the events started in the evening. Who dared to refuse the Alpha's command? While he made his order,Alex happened to see Mina and thanked her for the gift. She just smiled and replied “What are friends for?", earning a grin from Alex. He didn't know but he felt Mina looked more beautiful today. He just shrugged at his thoughts. Mina had to go back home with her parents and anticipate what was yet to happen in the evening.





After the Luna barking orders here and there and finally pleased with everything, she smiled when she saw her son heading downstairs, followed closely by Noah and Mike. They will make a great leadership duo. She smiled. “Are you all set”. The boys nodded. “I just hope you find your mate today to rule alongside you, but if you don't, today. I know that definitely the Moon Goddess is preparing a great mate for you”. The Luna said, caressing Alex's cheek. “Thanks mom and don't worry,if I see her I won't let her go and will treat her right". Alex smiled and headed backstage. The Luna smiled.





Mina had come there very early since her father was going to hand it over. Standing beside her was Amya, who had been bickering non-stop. Her eyes were going to die from all her screaming.



“Attention everyone”. Alpha Damien spoke through the microphone. “It's been a great year for all of us and I must say I'm so delighted to hand over the position of Alpha to my son, knowing the pack will be in good hands. I'm glad you could all make it. I therefore entreat each and everyone of you to treat my son and his appointed colleagues with respect and together we will be one happy pack". Alpha Damien spoke. “Shall we begin the coronation". The Alpha spoke, erupting cheers from the pack members, particularly the unmated females, hoping they would be Alex's mate.



“I need my Beta and Gamma here". Alpha Damien spoke. Soon, Beta Nick and the Gamma stood beside the Alpha. “Alex, can you step forward". The Alpha spoke while the sword was being handed to him.



“Do you, Alex Jefferson, accept to be the Alpha of this pack? To defend and protect them and to put them above all your needs". Alpha Damien asked. “I do". Alex replied. “Do you promise not to give up on the pack and uphold the rules and regulations and instill justice and discipline among the pack members?". Alpha Damien asked. “I do”. “ I Alpha Damien Jefferson hereby declare you, Alex Jefferson, as the new Alpha of the Golden Moon Pack”. Cheers erupted from the crowd. The Alpha sliced his palm and made and sliced Alex's hands, joining their hands together. A surge of power erupted inside Alex and he could hear all the pack members' voices in his head. This will definitely need some getting used to. He thought, “Pack your new Alpha,Alpha Alex".



The crowd erupted with joy. Beta Nick, can you step forward? Alex motioned for Noah to step forward. “Noah, do you accept to be the Beta of this pack? To defend the pack in terms of trials and to rule alongside the Alpha in unity. Do you pledge to protect the Alpha and the pack with your life". Alpha Damien asked. “I do". Noah replied. The Alpha sliced Beta Nick's hands and did the same for Noah, joining their hands together. “I hereby declare you Noah Morgan as the beta of this pack”. Once again, the crowd erupted in joy. Amya was giggling, earning Mina to roll her eyes. “Mike, let's make it simple". Alpha Damien spoke. Mike stepped forward. “Mike, do you pledge to defend the pack, the Alpha and the Beta in all ways to ensure there's always peace in the pack”. “I do ”. Mike responded. I hereby announce to you Gamma Mike Brown. “Pack these are your new selected leaders. I hope they rule the pack in unity. And together this pack will be a better one”. The Alpha spoke.



A lot of pack members congratulated them. Mina even hugged Alex and Noah and fist bumped Mike. “As you all know and as the tradition has never changed, the new Alpha will run with the pack members through the woods for hunting. ". Alex shrugged and shifted into his black wolf while Mike and Noah shifted, followed by the pack members in the order of rank. “We start when I howl". Alex spoke for the first time through the mind link to the pack members. He howled, shaking the ground. He took off, followed closely by Noah and Mike with the pack members running behind them. They ran through the woods and hunted for food in their wolf form. Everyone shifted back into their human forms. Alpha Damien and Mina's parents didn't partake in the run, likewise the Gamma, since it was a tradition. Beta Nick was beaming with joy while the Alpha had to calm Luna Ayla, who was teary-eyed and ranting about her son growing too early. The Alpha held his Luna, comforting her. Amya couldn't shift since she wasn't fifteen yet. She stood beside her parents the whole time.After thirty minutes of running through the woods on the pack's territory. They headed back to the pack house. The Luna rushed to embrace Alex.



Mina was extremely tired from all the running. She mouthed goodbye to Amya and headed home with her parents. Tomorrow is a bright new day. She has school tomorrow, which hopefully she will be done with next year. She just hopes Alex rules just like Alpha Damien. It will need some getting used to before she can call him Alpha. And she knew Alpha's wolves exuded dominance and authority, so she didn't want to sound disrespectful to Alex. The best she has to do is to avoid him at all times now, more than ever.



“Son, did you find your mate?". Luna Ayla asked when Alex was about entering his room. “Not yet mom, I think she's not here yet or she is probably not of age”. Luna Ayla explained. “I'm in no hurry mum", Alex replied, smiling. “I know but ruling with your mate will make things easier”. Luna Ayla explained. Alex shrugged. “Babe, let's allow him to rest, he needs to regain his strength and we have a vacation to plan". Alpha Damien spoke, dragging Luna Ayla away. Alex thanked his dad with his eyes. Being an Alpha comes with a lot of responsibilities, but first he has to let go of his random nights with random women. Alex thought.
