“Amya,Alex is in and he said he has great news for us". Beta Noah spoke, looking at his mate who was busy ramming through the wardrobe for something he had no idea about. “I also received the link too. Do you think it is Mina because if she is here, she's not going to get away with it? Let's get down. I'm eager to see what the good news is about. It had better be something worth our time if not Alex will have me to deal with". Amya said, dragging her mate out of their room. “But you were searching for something in the wardrobe?". Beta Noah asked, confused by his mate's reactions. “Just forget it, I will attend to it later". Amya explained, leaving no room for explanations. Noah shook his head in confusion. He will never understand his mate sometimes. She completely changed after she got pregnant, giving one instruction after another. He just loved her irrespective of her change in attitude. “That's Mina. I told you so". Amya exclaimed, rushing downstairs. “Take your time babe, you will hurt yourself and the baby". Beta Noah spoke in concern. “Don't tell me what to do". Amya growled at her mate, making Beta Noah laugh.



Reaching the end of the stairs,Amya took deep breaths before approaching Mina. Mina snapped her head right on time when she smelled Amya's presence. Amya was looking more beautiful and glowing more. She looked down at her belly and chuckled. Amya looked at Mina with anger evident on her face. “Why did you leave without informing me? Do you even consider me as your best friend? You don't know how worried I was". Amya spoke in a hurry, making Mina bow her head in regret and shame. “I'm sorry OK. I'm back and I won't go anywhere. I promise". Mina spoke, raising her hands up. Amya opened her arms for a hug, motioning for Mina to hug her. “Won't I crush your baby if we hug?". Mina spoke in concern. “Nonsense, just give me a hug before I change my mind about you being my child's godmother". Amya replied, smiling. Mina hugged her best friend, who started crying. She withdrew from the hug and looked at Amya in worry. “Did I hurt you?". “Stupid pregnancy hormones". Amya mumbled.



“Welcome back". Beta Noah mouthed, offering Mina a smile. “And who is this lovely woman here sitting by Mike?". Amya asked, now noticing the presence of Gina, who had been observing everything happening right in front of her eyes. Before Mina could reply, Amya cut in after sniffing her. “Wait, she is human but why is she here?". Amya asked in confusion. Mina gestured for her to sit down first. “This right, here is Regina, but she prefers to be called Gina. She's my friend who helped me while I ran away and she's Mike's mate, as you can see". Mina explained, observing the reactions of the Beta couple. “I'm proud of you bro". Noah spoke, tapping Mike's shoulders. Mike just grinned. “How is that possible? I thought it only happens once in a family to be mated to a human. Mum is a human, so how come Mike is mated to a human". Amya asked in confusion.



“Well, I don't really know, but I think Mina was sent there for a reason so Mike could get the opportunity to find his mate. The moon goddess doesn't make mistakes." Luna Ayla spoke all of a sudden, making the rest look at him. “Mum, when did you come in? You scared us". Amya spoke horrified. I came in a long time but since you were so focused on your conversations you didn't notice my presence. “Welcome back Mina. I'm glad you made the right choice of coming back. We missed your presence". Luna Ayla spoke, sitting down on the nearby sofa. “Where's dad?". Alpha Alex asked. “Your father is busy asleep but he sends his greetings to you". Luna Ayla replied.



“Gina, welcome to our pack. I'm Luna Ayla and the mother of Alpha Alex and Amya. Feel free to call me whenever you need help. I was a human like you". Luna Ayla said, shaking Gina's hand, who looked uncomfortable. Gina relaxed at her words. “We are going to be best of friends. I'm Amya, by the way". Amya introduced herself to Gina, who smiled in response. Amya had a similar attitude to hers. They were really going to get along well. “My prodigal daughter is back". Beta Nick spoke in sarcasm. “Dad!!". Mina exclaimed, running to embrace her dad, who stood in the doorway. “I missed you daddy. I'm sorry I left in a hurry". Mina explained. “It's alright dear, I understand. I would have done the same if I had been in your shoes". Beta Noah spoke, his anger quickly dissipating. “Where's mum?". Mina asked, looking around for her mum. “She was doing something in the car. I'm sure she should be done by now". Beta Noah explained, withdrawing from the hug.



“I'm right behind you guys". Nina spoke. “Mum I missed your nagging". Mina spoke poking her mum. “You sure deserve a beating. Never give up on your mate, like you did". Nina explained, dragging her daughter into a hug. “Won't you invite us in". Nina spoke in sarcasm, earning a chuckle from Mina. She walked with her parents right behind her. “Gina, I have some important people to introduce to you. This is my mom and dad". Mina explained, pointing towards her parents. “Nice to meet you dear". Nina spoke smiling. “Mom and dad, this is Gina and she's Mike's mate". Mina explained. “You do resemble both of your parents". Gina explained, making Mina's parents burst into laughter.



After dinner, Mike showed Gina their room while Noah carried his sleepy mate to their room with the exception of Mina and Alex. “I'm sorry for leaving without listening to your point of view. It won't happen again". Mina apologized, looking down. “It's alright. You are back now. That's what matters. It's late. Let's go and sleep". Alpha Alex spoke holding his mate's face lovingly in his hands. So many changes happened while she was away. Who would have thought Amya would be mated to Noah and be expecting a child already? She felt a bit jealous. Maybe if she had stayed behind and listened to his explanations, she would have been expecting their first born already but she was so happy for Amya and Noah. Tomorrow she's going to explain everything that happened while she was away. And she would need to brief Gina on how things are done in the pack house so she could mingle with the pack members.



“You are still awake. I thought you were asleep". Alex asked, entering the room from the bathroom. “I was just thinking about something. I'm going to sleep now". Mina explained, lying down on the bed. “Good night". Alpha Alex whispered. “Won't you sleep on the bed with me". Mina asked, then regretted once she voiced out. “Forget I said that". Alpha Alex chuckled and flashed a smile, approaching the bed in his pyjamas. Drawing Mina closer to his chest, they both felt asleep. His wolf, Kairo, was happy that their mate was back.
